this guy looks like he knows what’s up. spider-man, suctioned to the side of a high-rise (without much reason to be considering he’s about five feet off the ground) decides it’s just about time for a pizza break. swinging around all morning sure works up an appetite!

       ‘  know where i can score some dough 'round here? preferably like ... on the cheap side?  ’

peter is a really fast learner and this is demonstrated in how good he is when it comes to drawing people and proportions. 

he wasn’t born an artist like he was a scientist, it was more an acquired skill and hobby. but what makes him so exceptional at this is the fact that his strong deftness in areas such as physics, other applied sciences and mathematics encourages him to use tools such as perspective, measuring, angles, geometry, vanishing points and roulette curves etc. 

most of his style is influenced by the comics he read as a kid, coloring and poses borrow a lot simply being picked up from the pages. this also enables him to further his interest and career in photography and photojournalism, using a lot of scenery, dynamic situations and so on from comics and drawings as well as his imagination, to take action packed pictures.

now peter wouldn’t say he had the skills of a great and upcoming artist, but what he could do with a few markers did surpass a mediocre level. though, he clearly didn’t have the discipline to be a revolutionary illustrator in the comic world (not that he particularly cared). and it was the flash of fiery red across the clinical yet drab walls of the cafeteria that had stolen a beat from his heart. he didn’t know who the girl was, but her appearance, her demeanor, reminded him of mj, both his childhood best friend and the love of his life. the latter was no secret ... to the entire school.

unfortunately, she was sat with her boyfriend and he was sat alone, yet again, sketching the contour of cheek upon grid paper as his tray, untouched, sat forgotten to one side. here’s the thing, it wasn’t as if peter was a loner, he was barely the ‘nerd’ a pair of glasses and a distinguishment in chemistry could paint him to be. he just had very occupied friends, is all. even more unfortunate? the aura of mystery was making her way over, whether it was to pass him or confront him — all the teenager could do was carry out some poorly elaborated plan and slam the notebook shut.
