Ahhhhhhh it happened, AGAIN?!?! this is the second time he’s answered a question and I feel so ridiculously lucky. I will say that’s a really disappointing answer but I do appreciate the directness and the honesty.
Is there any potential for changing the way UB is done to make UB cards skins of in universe cards that will be printed later?
There is absolutely no practical way to do that, nor is it the best practice of making the Universes Beyond designs the best they can be. The goal of each Universes Beyond set is to make it capture the flavor of the property through the design as best we can.

So, I decided I wanted to start using this to get my thoughts out as I read In Search of Lost Time/Remembrance of Things Past. (I have no one who cares even an infinitesimally small amount about me reading it or my thoughts.) I’m finally going back to Within a Budding Grove, starting back from the beginning of it so I was reminding myself of Swann’s Way. (Don’t wanna re read everything.) Swann and Odettes relationship is gloriously tragic. We get to see this man desperately in love with someone who not only will never love him back but who will never be good for him. Not only that, we know the whole time they get together and have a kid! I don’t want spoilers but I’m terrified for poor Gilberte. I remember the narrator was falling in love with her when I previously stopped reading so here’s to hoping she’s more like her dad than her mom and neither gets their heart broken!

There are soooo many, it’s been forever since I finished it but off the top of my head I can still list, the bishops weird hangup with that one atheist guy, WATERLOO, the ship Orión, the slang, and the SEWERS, the brick just wouldn’t be the same without them, it makes you feel like you know Hugo by the end

And we love him for it
I think enjolras is the kind of person who cannot fucking separate his moral convictions from his amusements. in canon he is "serious in his enjoyments". so basically whenever you play monopoly with enjolras he refuses to pay rent or buy any properties and tries to abolish jail. he takes the kings and queens out of the deck of cards. he liberates trapped minecraft villagers.

NINETEEN there are NINETEEN chapters in waterloo! Victor Hugo wrote nineteen chapters ranting about napoleon, geography, and several more much less remembered people, and only a few sentences at the very end of it matter at all. And ALL OF IT that matters is reiterated later! I love Les Miserables, but dear lord Hugo
And now we interrupt this daring escape to bring you the battle of Waterloo in excruciating detail.
#how long can you write about a single battle?#i’m pretty sure he’s repeating himself at this point#waterloo#les mis#aaaaaa#whyyyy

Valjean’s compassion is the compassion of someone who knows how big of a difference it could make. Javert’s determination is the confidence of someone who believes themself to be righteous. Marius’ love is the shallow love of someone who hadn’t ever dreamed before.
