I tried to make Maxie a dress inspired by her original dress. And the Barbie Extra jacket actually sorta goes too…I might make her a cardigan/jacket later, haven’t decided yet. She still needs shoes.

I’ve been back to the thrift store that had the box of vintage-ish Barbies for more

I got Casey (left) on 4/13 and she’s one of the $25 mermaid set dolls, Daisy face sculpt. Her body was ruined, but I wanted her head so I got her (for way more than I’d’ve like BUT I like the store so…) and it cleaned up nice enough. Had the Volleyball body with me, and it’s a good enough match.

Then this week I got 2002 Easter Charm Barbie with her earrings and headband (those are $tree shoes (gave TH Barbie the lavender ones from that set). I liked how pale she was and her lavender eyes, but the stain on her chin doesn’t want to go away sadly. Then we have a Hasbro girl that I thought was a Sindy but turned out to be Lookin Smart Maxie with her original tights. Her head is rock hard and has broken earrings in her holes, but her hair (save for a minor haircut towards the bangs/ponytail) is in really good shape. I’ll make her some better clothes, but how interesting that this Maxie and the Jazzie both had outfits resembling the Rewind Midge…who I did bring down with me.

Anyways, just sharing doll haul. It’s sad that the vintage dolls I’m finding are all blondes, but I’m enjoying the different body types compared to the modern stock I’ve got in hand.

this is Neoney (Neon Doey), a blacklight/glow in the dark/90s neon version. she is punk, and very spikey in both attitude (always) and physicality (when agroed). may also have shifting accents

then there's also DJ the doughling, seen here in baby bean, juvenile, and tween stages.

i got an original (i'm pretty sure given the age of the other dolls that were there) Totally Hair Barbie thrifting the other day (will photo her and Jazzie *coughmy!PJcough* when i finish cleaning them up-very excite!) and i had a very funny idea

The pastels are too desaturated (and lacks purple) for Niimue’s hair…but the other one is too dark I think…

I like the V-stitch skirt and triangle top though, good combo
