Could you please clarify how this fandom is homophobic? I don't understand how a lack of GVF fics with homosexual male main characters equals homophobia. Most of this fandom are people who identify as female. They're going to lean more toward writing in the female perspective because that's what they know. I'm sure they're uncomfortable writing from a homosexual male perspective because they don't want to get anything wrong or accidentally come off as offensive in any way.

But nah that's not even what I was talking about, great point you bring up though. It's the way the fandom has acted since Josh has come out. the infantlization of gay men (thinking they need extra protection compared to non gay men) the way the fandom was willing to tell folks how to act.
