Aziraphale's Diary ~5~

Dear Diary,          South Downs, 2022 Crowley and I decided against a hotel or bed and breakfast and rented one of these cottages instead. I must admit it took some convincing to persuade him. I just couldn't resist the decor, which was mostly tartan. As we settled down with a bottle of red (this enhanced his mood enormously) I said to Crowley that the South Downs would be a lovely place to live. He raised his brow and nodded. Several glasses of red later he stood, streched and with a whoosh I was very familiar with, his beautiful black wings appeared. And for a moment I feared the sitting room wouldn't be big enough. I could have looked at them for eternity, but as soon as they appeared they vanished right after. Crowley plopped down again and closed his eyes, though the couch wasn't big enough for him. A black feather on the wooden flour caught my attention and I stood and reached for it. I walked over to the small desk right under the small window and carefully placed the feather between the current pages of my diary.

A smile crossed my face...
