We did nothing wrong, yet we pay the price every single day. And if the world stays silent… this catastrophe will grow— and it will be a permanent stain on the face of all humanity.

i dont think the issue is having potatoes in your medieval-inspired fantasy in a vacuum. i think the issue is the sheer lack of acknowledgement of indigenous people and cultures in the fantasy genre with the exception of maybe some deeply racist coding of certain non-humans (usually orcs and elves).

My name is Mahmoud Za’tar, I’m 25 years old. I used to live a simple life, dreaming of completing my education and building a better future — but everything changed in 2022, the year I got married and war broke out.
