It is May 5 and the high today is 47 degrees. THE HIGH.
It has also rained for the last five days and will likely do so tomorrow and Saturday.

Problems that are not at all real problems.
1. I’ve been on the hunt for a pair of cute casual sneaks to wear with jeans & sundresses. I found the most gorgeous pair and they are sold out everywhere in every size; it’s like they never existed.
2. This Stitch Fix ad keeps haunting me. I love that blouse, but I have no desire to sign up for Stitch Fix. Longshot: Anyone know who make this blouse?

Help me decide, Tumblr!
We’re going to a wedding in St. Pete this weekend. The wedding is Indian and Christian. I had a dress picked out until the groom sent an email earlier this week, asking women to not wear anything too revealing (i.e. short dresses) and also said we’ll be sitting on the floor, so which of these RTR dresses do you like? Unfortunately, I can’t get them both as they can’t be paired for the +$32 for the second dress deal.
I love the colors of option A, but I’m unsure how the top would fit. B seems really comfortable and breezy and I feel like there’s a higher chance it will fit great. What say you?

B is heading to New Orleans for a bachelor party tonight. There are 20 dudes and they have a house that sleeps 14 with ONE bathroom.

Its so difficult to talk to dudes sometimes. I feel like there should be a class or handbook involved.

My mom and dad, who are in Florida for the winter, have a visitor for the weekend...
It’s their favorite bartender from home

I packed a healthy lunch and breakfast, but I just remembered this is a cadbury egg in my purse.

The mood here is REALLY weird.
When I got home last night I saw a barrage of ‘farewell’ emails, which led me to deduce (correctly) that the San Francisco office was completely shut down,
Today and tomorrow are layoffs in our office. The emails have started to roll in again and a team member and desk neighbor just came back to her desk with a severance folder.
FUCK, man.

My dad gave me the whole "you shouldn't like Beyoncé either since your father was a cop" line today, so that was fun too.

Today was a DAY.
Three (+) months after the announcement, our company was finally acquired today.
There was a company-wide meeting scheduled for 1pm, which then got pushed back until 3pm and then 4pm. Keep in mind, we’ve known for WEEKS today was D-day and we were all dying for a little information, especially with layoffs looming.
But, instead we learned nothing except that the sale had actually closed (thanks I can see that on the news) and that we should  “go home and celebrate our hard work.”
And oh, by the way, layoffs will occur tomorrow and Thursday.

Oxford Dictionary accused of sexist word examples
Oxford Dictionary is under fire after Michael Oman-Reagan, an anthropologist and Ph.D. candidate, pointed out these instances of sexist example sentences accompanying words like “rabid” and “shrill.” At first, Oxford Dictionaries responded with the above flippant tweet — but later apologized and vowed to change at least one of the words.

It’s 63 in Boston today, on February 1.
This must mean we’re either going to get 12 feet of snow next week, OR the world is going to implode.
Either way, I’ve loved you all.
