NO ONE knows how to use thou/thee/thy/thine and i need to see that change if ur going to keep making “talking like a medieval peasant” jokes. /lh

They play the same roles as I/me/my/mine. In modern english, we use “you” for both the subject and the direct object/object of preposition/etc, so it’s difficult to compare “thou” to “you”.

So the trick is this: if you are trying to turn something Olde, first turn every “you” into first-person and then replace it like so:

“I” →  “thou”

“Me” →  “thee”

“My” →  “thy”

“Mine” →  “thine”

Let’s suppose we had the sentences “You have a cow. He gave it to you. It is your cow. The cow is yours”.

We could first imagine it in the first person-

“I have a cow. He gave it to me. It is my cow. The cow is mine”.

And then replace it-

“Thou hast a cow. He gave it to thee. It is thy cow. The cow is thine.”

Maybe I’m reading too much into it - but is anyone else really worried about Luke and Nicola?

They done the interview for britsh vogue which was lovely but they were separate (which is understandable) and they just looked really off as if they were just going through the motions? .

I’m glad that Nicola is with Jake and that Luke is with Antonia and they are both happy - I just hope that all the negative media hasn’t destroyed their friendship completely 😭 they were so happy and I would hate for their friendship to be damaged

idk what introvert needs to hear this but please check yourself when ur saying stuf like “staying in your room all weekend by yourself watching netflix is much better than going out and being social” because speaking from experience it’s very easy to confuse being introverted and isolating yourself to cope with anxiety and depression please reach out to your friends and make an effort to live your life and say yes to things, there’s no harm in enjoying your own company but please try to avoid shutting yourself away because you’ve convinced yourself that you’re better alone it’s seriously a recipe for loneliness and will really fuck with your self worth

So I was scrolling through Twitter and Tanisha had posted this - this is a script extract from the Wedding episode from s2, we all know the one 😏

The show was Mr Selfridge to see a(n adorable) 20 year old Luke! He was literally in it for not even a minute. Would recommend fast forwarding until the ball for sure

So I had a thought about the study scene where Penelope reads Colin’s journal. I just had the thought that instead of Pen calling Colin out on his new behaviour in Lady Whistledown, she could have just called him out here?

Kinda of like in RMB after this bit he’s like I have no purpose, no life and Penelope is just like shut it trying being a woman - Penelope could have called him out here and been like stop with the flirting and the debutantes and you’ll be fine, like be the person you were before.

Spoilers in this post for Bridgerton S3 Part 2

So I decided to go back and watch part 1 after watching part 2 and I noticed something very sneaky.

So in Ep 3 when we get to the balloon display, we see Penelope walk in with her family and they are followed by Colin and his family - but I noticed something at the bottom of the screen

Right next to Portia Featherington and close to Penelope is a small red haired boy - and what is the gender of Penelope and Colin’s first child in the show?

A little boy 👦😂

Now the writers and the directors either planned this as a subtle hint at Colin and Penelope’s future - their first child and inheriting the Featherington estate - and linked it in with the cake callback later on.

Or it was just a complete coincidence that this child happened to be in the shot at that time, and I am just losing my marbles 😅.

Personally I don’t think this is a coincidence but I’d love to hear others thoughts on it. 🥰😇 also if anyone knows the director of this episode I would love to know who it was.
