The Dracul Family

A noble family of vampires who are directly descended from Vlad the Impaler. The family is headed by Paris Dracul, Count of Wallachia. When their parents were murdered by vampire hunters, Paris, his younger brother Damien, and younger sister, Violeta, fled Romania, eventually settling in the kingdom of Alcmene. Count Paris is fiercely protective of his younger siblings, considering they are the last of their line.

The Royal House of Lux

Presenting the Royal House of Lux (which means “Light” in Latin), Alcmene’s first royal family since the kingdom’s inception. The reigning monarch is HM Queen Estella I. At the age of 20, she married Seraphin Lux, and the two had twins daughters, HRH Crown Princess Hecate and HRH Princess Zoria, now age 20. Since Hecate is two hours older than her sister, she is the heir to the throne. Tragically, King Seraphin died of a mysterious illness three years ago, making Queen Estella a widow. The royal family are descendants of Selene, the goddess of the moon. The Crown Princess is named after Hecate, the Greek goddess of the Crossroads, witchcraft, and necromancy. Princess Zoria’s name is of Slavic origin, and means “Morning star” or “Sunrise”. 

Crown Princess Hecate and Princess Zoria are currently the kingdom’s most eligible women.

The Kingdom of Alcmene

The magical kingdom of Alcmene was established only 30 years ago by the Lux family, headed by matriarch Estella Lux, the kingdom’s first monarch. The kingdom was founded so that supernatural beings such as witches, genies, werewolves, fairies, and vampires could live peacefully without fear of prejudice and persecution. The kingdom is matriarchal, and women are highly revered. The kingdom was named after Alcmene, the mortal mother of the demigod Heracles. The name Alcmene means “Might of the Moon”. Magic is seen as sacred in the kingdom, and embraced fully. The kingdom is a melting pot, and welcomes those of all ethnicities, nationalities, and religions, magical or not.
