Αφόρμηση για την παράσταση κοκόνες αποτελούν τα αγαλματίδια που βρίσκονται στο Αρχαιολογικό Μουσείο Κύπρου με την ονομασία Ειδώλια Αγίας Ειρήνης. Η ιστορία και οι ερμηνείες που διέπουν τα συγκεκριμένα αγάλματα υπήρξαν το βασικό πεδίο της έρευνάς μας. Το γεγονός ότι τα συγκεκριμένα αγαλματίδια αποτελούνται από αντρικές φιγούρες ενώ η γυναικεία μορφή είναι απούσα, μας παρακίνησε στο να εξετάσουμε παραστατικά το ενδεχόμενο του να υπήρχαν γυναικεία σώματα ανάμεσα σε αυτά τα αγαλματίδια. Η παράσταση κοκόνες αφηγείται την ιστορία τεσσάρων μορφών που ξεπηδούν μέσα από αυτό το άκαμπτο σύνολο, για να ανακαλύψουν τη θηλυκή τους φύση. Σχεδόν ταυτόχρονα με αυτή τη συνειδητοποίηση υπόκεινται στη εξουσία που ασκεί πάνω τους το βλέμμα και το πρόσταγμα του άλλου. Θα αμφιταλαντευθούν, θα προσκολληθούν, θα παλέψουν με τις εσωτερικές και τις εξωτερικές φωνές μέχρι να βρουν το δρόμο προς την απελευθέρωση. Εργαλείο εξερεύνησης και δημιουργίας αποτέλεσε η έννοια του σώματος σε συνάρτηση με την αϋλότητα, την ορατότητα και το φύλο σε σχέση με τον μουσειακό χώρο.
