12:30 PM - Today’s the day!

Nearly 2500 people have RSVP’d “going”, and another 620 have said “maybe.” Two days ago, the organizers posted a callout in the Partiful telling folks to bring blankets to sit on and seeking performers for “a half time show,” presumably while the judges are deliberating. Never been more curious about a mystery line up in my life.   

Very few details yet on the adjudication process, identity of the judges, etc., and probably little to come between now and the start time at 1 PM.

“Just a guy with floppy hair” to “call him by *his* name” (yes, I’m blatantly ripping off the Post with that one).

Here are the front runners for the $50 cash prize, according to the NYPost:

Reason for entering: “Like why not?” “It’s a story for the grandkids.”

My analysis: Would make a good model for Arteryx 

Reed Putnam, 21

From: Upstate somewhere (Ogdensburg), SUNY student, has bought a ticket

Reason for entering: “Everyone’s just going to go for a good time.” Girlfriend is a “Chalamet fan”

My analysis: Incredible taste in jeans

Loris van Vlodrop, 20 (today!)

From: NYU student, does not specify

Reason for entering: according to the Post, he hopes to leave with “a few phone numbers and a movie deal”

My analysis: Has no business being here bc at 20 he’s already arguably hotter than Chalamet
