I will find that fictional man and maybe a couple of his friends ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Boys Night Out | MM&N AU
Likely due to Akira being Akira, Masato returns home from their boys night out barely able to stand.
It had been so long since she fell into the oversized bed without at least one of the guys there to take her into their warm embrace. When she saw them off at noon, she didn’t think that she’d be able to survive the silence, but after a few glasses of wine, hours of uninterrupted solo karaoke, a couple of bone chilling movies and a big, buttery bowl of popcorn Allie began to wonder why she didn’t shove those two out of the door more often!
She checked her phone for what felt like the 100th time this evening– still no messages…
Maybe Akira and Masato managed to have as much fun without her as she did without them. Good for them, she thought as she sank her bonnet protected head into the satin pillow.
So plush. So comfy. So quiet…
Perhaps she could get used to this!
Just as she allowed the wine to ease her into a deep slumber, a slam rattled the bedroom door and frightened her out of her sleep. She checked the time: 4:17am. Her heart lurched.
She slipped out of bed, then kneeled beside it to dig out the metal bat she stashed just as the guys left in case of an emergency. When she heard a couple of muffled voices ascending from downstairs, she left the bat and stood to her feet. Allie could recognize that bickering anywhere, even from down the hall.
She allowed herself to settle onto the mattress again but was quickly back on her feet once the door opened and the overhead light flickered on to reveal two lightly battered men whose clothing were in varying states of dishevelment: Akira, whose long hair had been loosely tied into a low bun was now free and framed the sides of his face showing off the thin streaks of gray that he preferred to hide, his sleek, black on navy on black Canali ensemble that had been perfectly creased and tucked before, was now a partially buttoned navy shirt with the sleeves rolled to the elbow, partially tucked into black slacks while the black sport coat was nowhere to be found and his usually unblemished face was now marked by a busted lip.
Then, there was Masato, whose brown herringbone patterned button down polo shirt had been missing the few buttons he actually did button before leaving, his crisp, well fitted, cream colored pants accessorized with a nice leather belt were now wrinkled and littered with concerning stains, his perfectly brushed and styled hair was now slicked back with either water or sweat and what wasn’t dangled gently against his forehead and though his bruising was less visible than Akira’s, he too sported a couple of battle scars of his own.
Her mind flooded with questions, but from the pinched expression on Akira’s face as he carefully guided the taller man, whose heavy arm had been slung around his neck, over to the bed, she figured many of them out on her own.
“I’m assuming one of you will fill me in on what happened…”
Once he positioned Masato closer to the bed, he flicked his arm off of him and the man fell into the plush of layers with a grunt and zero semblance of concern for maintaining upright posture.
“This fucking gorilla happened.” Akira said, stretching his arms out then over.
Allie stroked the side of Masato’s face, he fluttered his heavy eyes up to meet hers and his lips curled. In his smile, she could see that he had no regrets for whatever caused them to return home like this.
When she turned to Akira, he was attempting to rub away the tender spot in his neck brought on by Masato’s dead weight. Just as she had done with her reclining partner, she caressed the side of Akira’s face while studying the condition of his split lip.
“Your poor faces…” she muttered, eyebrows needling together as she thought against pressing her lips against them.
Behind her, Masato had managed to pull himself up into a seat but he couldn’t hide his sway if he wanted to– and he didn’t care to.
“You should see the other guys,” he said.
“‘Guys?’” she emphasized, turning to him until Akira’s voice stole her attention again.
“As in plural.”
“You guys got into a brawl?” she asked, unable to contain her shock. “During the event at Koibar?”
The guys had put so much effort into making sure that Koibar’s reputation remained above board despite the rumors floating around in the city about what lives they retired from before going into business together. It was unthinkable that they would allow violence in their bar, let alone be a part of it!
“We left the event hours ago. The fight happened at some other rinky dink place he made me take him to.” Akira’s large hands found his hips as he shook his head and sighed, “I should’ve followed my first mind and drove somewhere else. I had a bad feeling from the start.”
“Well, the spot is shitty, buuut their food is immaculate.” Masato slurred.
“‘Immaculate,’” Akira repeated, “Immaculate? The bastard gets drunk and starts sayin’ shit like ‘Immaculate’. You hearing this?”
Instead of responding, Allie sank into bed beside the other man and examined the stains.
“Masa, baby, you’ve got blood all over your pants… your shirt, too.”
He looked down at himself as if she had just revealed brand new information to him, “Well… Some of it may be wing sauce. I dunnnno.”
Akira chuckled, shaking his head again. “Babe, this guy was unbelievable! He practically took on the entire bar by himself– the fucker! He barely even needed me… It’s been so long since we saw some real action, I sort of forget what sort of beast lies within.”
His tired gaze flicked over Masato who was pressing laggy kisses against Allie’s bare shoulder, completely oblivious to his praise, just as he suspected.
“Especially when this is all I see.” he muttered, quickly working at the buttons on his shirt. “He’s like a clingy ass mutt around you. No bark, no bite.”
“Ssshut up, man.”
“Would it make you feel better if he powerbombed me from time to time?” Allie joked, combing her fingertips through the short of Masato’s hair.
He shrugged off the navy shirt, then effortlessly tossed it into the hamper near the closet. “I don’t know. Maybe.”
“I’ll never powerbomb you, amorzinho.” he slurred, resting his warm face against her neck, his stubble prickling her skin.
She chuckled, patting at his cheek. “I know, baby.”
“I’m gonna go shower.” Akira said, turning on his heels. “See to it that the big lug doesn’t bust his ass in there. He can barely stand.”
As if he was set on proving the older man wrong, he lifted himself off the bed and immediately let gravity throw him back again. Accepting his fate, he simply laid there.
“Wow, Masa. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen you this wasted before.”
“We played a drinking game… and shots.”
“Did you enjoy yourself tonight at least?” she asked.
He seemed to think about it for a moment, “Well, I enjoyed having a night out with him that wasn’t about work, but I think I have more fun when I get to spend my nights with you… You should’ve come with us.”
“But then, it wouldn’t have been a boys night out. Besides, my days of fighting alongside you two are long gone.”
“I would’ve protected you.”
“I know you would have, baby.”
Masato pulled himself upright once again, then lazily attempted to toss his ankle over his knee but missed. Without missing a beat, Allie sank to the floor and began to help him out of his shoes. When she looked up to speak, she was met with an expression she’s witnessed countless times but never tires of. In a moment, it was as if his intoxication was replaced with a clarity that only comes when he meets her eyes. Both the curve at his lips and the crinkle at the corners of his eyes were soft as he looked down at her.
“I have the prettiest wife in the world,” and with that single phrase, she was reminded of his drunken state. Instead of correcting him, she simply bowed her head sheepishly and laughed.
“Thank you, Masa.”
She turned to toss his shoes into the open closet, she imagined that Akira was dealing with enough when he lugged him in and couldn’t be bothered to help him out of them at the front door. When she turned to face him again, his expression had hardened.
“You look so pretty down there...” he said, clumsily caressing her cheek. “I love you, you know.”
“I do know.”
“Do you know that I thought about you all night?”
“Did you now?”
Masato took his thick bottom lip between his teeth for a moment as he quickly mulled over his next words, “I thought about you being in this big empty bed all night and I wanted to rush home to fill it with you– to fill you in it, to feel you in it.”
Want flashed across her features, but she bounced back quickly. “You’re so drunk it’s not even funny, Masa.”
Allie rose to her feet and he took the opportunity to wrap his arms around her waist, burying his face against the plush of her belly.
“I am… Take advantage of me, right now.”
She laughed, running her fingers through his soft, dark hair. “Not tonight, baby. Why don’t we take advantage of the master bath instead?”
“‘We?’”
“Maybe, if you can behave. I can soak with you.”
He hummed against her and she continued, “We’ll get some food and fluids in your system so that the only thing you’ll feel when you wake up later is a slightly upset stomach and maybe that knot on your eyebrow– did you get hit in the face with something?”
“Mhmm, a chair.”
“You were hit in the face with a chair, yet you’re thinking about sex?”
She could feel his laugh vibrating against her.
“They could carve me out with my own sword and I’d still want you, amor.”
“Well, aren’t you a romantic!” she said, carefully prying his arms from around her waist. “Now, stay here. I’m gonna run down and make you guys something light and bring some waters up so that you don’t have to come down, okay?”
“‘Kay…”
He fell back into the mattress once more and Allie was fairly certain that he’d pass out long before she brought his meal up, which was just as well. She just hoped that all she had to worry about cleaning up before bed was crumbs and not puke.

Don't be Nervous | MM&N AU
Allie has the new job jitters and the guys try to calm her down!
[Bringing this back since I'm starting a similar job but it's edited to closer fit the current situation.]
They had been at the kitchen island for half an hour or so, chatting and sipping their morning tea and coffee as they waited for Masato to come down for breakfast. Allie’s heel bounced against the footrest of her seat and while she traced the rim of her coffee cup, she stared at the droplet that blended with the brown veining on the otherwise white quartz countertop. She should clean it, she thought but she can’t seem to take action. Suddenly, she felt herself shift closer to Akira. He had lured her over by her seat with little effort.
“Oi,” he whispered against her temple, voice still so very thick with sleep. “Don’t be so nervous. You’re gonna do great.”
She registered every word. She felt the gentle peck against the side of her face and yet, she still couldn’t snap out of it.
“Maybe,” she managed.
“C’mere, babe.” he muttered through his teeth, deciding that he had no choice but to force her out of this daze. He tenderly captured her chin and guided her to face him. “What I need is for you to be positive, alright? You’re a great driver. Better than me, even. What’s the worst that could happen?”
“I could… wreck a company car.” she said, almost as if it were a question.
“No, you won’t, babe!” he smiled. “Just drive it like it’s yours and you’ll be fine.”
Usually she would melt into him when he held her this closely. Today, though, she was tense from head to toe. Perhaps layering coffee atop this level of anxiety was a mistake?
“Allie, I want you to take a deep breath.” he said, stroking at her soft jawline.
“Like, right now?”
“Like, right now.”
Finally acknowledging the lack of space between them, she frowned. “But, I probably have coffee breath.”
The corners of his eyes lifted as he laughed. “I think I can handle it.”
It took a moment, but she did eventually bring herself to do it, ignoring the way his shaggy wisps swayed in her wind. With a smile, he cradled the back of her head with his palm and guided her in for a smooch.
“Good girl.”
“Mornin’,” Masato managed through a yawn that seemed to hit the moment he crossed the threshold. The depth of his early morning voice started her out of Akira’s kiss. So, he smiled against her cheek instead.
“Good mornin’, Masa.”
“Nice of you to finally show up. I’m starving.” Akira complained.
“Well, how could that be?” he said, joining her at her side and slipping his arms around her waist. “From where I stood, it seemed to me like you were already in the middle of having breakfast.”
“Jealous?”
“Pfft, you wish.” Masato snickered before luring her gaze up by the chin and stealing a kiss of his own. He could never get his day started without one.
To avoid the mild embarrassment of being referred to as a man’s breakfast, she spoke up to change the conversation. “I made coffee. Why don’t you have some?”
“Gladly.” he said, stealing one last kiss before finally slinking off to collect his favorite mug.
“Masato,” Akira began, eyeing the smooth pour of his coffee. “You’ve got perfect timing.”
“Oh?”
“Yeah, so, you know she starts the new job today, right?”
He returned the carafe to the hot plate then twisted off the lids for the powdered cream and sugar. He liked his coffee sweet, sweeter than most and they often wondered if there was a science to getting it to his taste because try as they might, neither Allie or Akira could nail it. They watched him drop heap after heaping heap of sugar and creamer into his coffee and tried to mentally figure out the measurements.
“Right,” he stirred the lawless concoction.
Akira gripped at her thigh and smiled, “Seems our girl’s worried she’s gonna mess it up somehow.”
Masato tasted his coffee, then added three more spoonfuls of sugar before looking over at her as he stirred it again.
“So, you’re nervous?”
“A little.”
“Have you taken your medication?”
“I did.”
“That was coffee in there, right?” he asked gesturing at the counter.
“Yeah, and it's her second cup.” Akira answered for her in the same way a child might to rat on a sibling to a parent.
“Amor…”
“I know…”
“Right, well, I won’t lecture you but what exactly are you nervous about?” he asked, finally drinking his coffee as it was now, perfect.
They were no closer to understanding.
Gripping at the supportive hand resting on her thigh, she restated all of the anxieties she mentioned to Akira not long before. After a few minutes of this, there is a furrow between Masato’s brows that tells her that like Akira, he too believes that what she was concerned about were non-issues.
Though, he wouldn’t quite phrase it that way.
“Stop tormenting yourself, amor. You’re a professional driver– experienced. You’re gonna be fine.”
As Akira spoke, his thumb kneaded into the plush of her thigh. “That’s more or less what I said.”
Masato sat his mug on the counter, then turned to rummage through the fridge to collect the ingredients for breakfast. “Besides, you’re a better driver than he is. If it were him we were talking to, this would be a completely different conversation.”
“Oi, oi.” Akira groaned, “I wanted you to talk her down, not talk shit about me! Why do you keep acting like I’m a bad driver?”
He popped open a carton of eggs to see how many were left, “Eh, you could probably be better.”
“The hell?! You don’t even drive! What do you know?”
“Why should I when I’ve got you guys to chauffeur me around?” he said, mirth softening his words.
“See, that’s why she calls you a passenger princess!”
“Passenger, who? What’s that?”
Allie found herself giggling at the rim of her coffee. Listening to the two of them tease and bicker like this seemed to ease the tension in her shoulders and after some time, she nearly forgot that she was ever anxious in the first place.

Masato, Allie & Akira | Shopping
This is the MM&N version of the Shopping headcanons that I posted on my writing blog.
AKIRA & MASATO
While Masato isn’t fond of doing much shopping, he lets Akira talk him into tagging along more often than he’d like to admit. In fact, it’s probably Akira’s fault that Masato shows up in new threads as often as he does. He’ll see a shirt of Masato’s one too many times and he’ll sling an arm around his neck and say “Why don’t we go for a drive?” Masato knows that that is code for ‘ride with me while I take you to do shit you don't really want to do but you’ll thank me later– probably’. Masato can admit that Nish has a really good eye. There’s a suit Akira once helped him find and he was honestly baffled at how well it suited him.
He does get annoyed with Akira for always trying to make him buy shit that exceeds his budget, though. He used to try to put Akira off by telling him that if he wants him to have something so badly, then he should buy it himself. Then, he realized that Akira takes that as a challenge and will do exactly that.
They don't just shop for themselves though. They often collaborate on finding gifts for Allie too. Masato regularly has to remind Akira to tone it down with his extravagance. Masato doesn't mind splurging for special occasions but Akira will happily drop a band simply because it’s Friday.
They despise going shopping together for necessities like groceries though. Masato doesn’t like that Akira pawns all the work off on him, but then argues about which items to buy. Those two grocery shopping together would go a little something like this:
Akira is begrudgingly pushing the cart as the other man’s eyes scan the aisles ahead of him. Masato reaches for a bottle of mirin, but Akira grabs a different brand, at a higher price.
Akira: No, dude, get this one. It’s better.
Masato: What– why? This is the one we always get.
Akira: That’s cheap shit. It’s not gonna taste as good. Get this one.
Masato: I’ve been using this same “cheap shit” for 20 years. It’s fine. You’ve never complained in all the times I’ve used it.
Akira: Yeah, but–
Masato: Okay, tell me three things it’s used for and then we can get it…
Akira: Oi, what are you trying to say? I cook!
Masato: When was the last time you cooked?
Akira: *rolling his eyes* Whatever– Forget it.
Masato: Already did. *puts the bottle in their cart*
AKIRA & ALLIE
He’s not the one she would ask to tag along when they’re in need of some household items and groceries. She understands that he doesn’t really enjoy it and he (mentally) acknowledges that he doesn’t contribute much because he trusts that she’s “got it”. He never minds chauffeuring her around and keeping her company, though. He's more in his element when she’s in need of something new to wear! Sometimes, he whisks her away to join him. He’s always so full of life when shopping for stuff like that together.
He loves coordinating their clothes and accessories together. Hell, he’s even bought her the perfume that pairs with his colognes! He takes full advantage of the opportunity to play dress up. If Akira is involved, chances are Allie is walking out with more items than she originally intended. She trusts his opinion 100% and he eats it up!
He tries to be considerate when he’s picking things for her. He never grabs things that he knows will be out of her comfort zone. Though, he might ask her to indulge him by trying something in the dressing room for the sake of curiosity (and his entertainment). He’s not allowed in the dressing room with her though, because he doesn’t know how to keep his hands to himself or offer a simple “Wow, that looks nice.” He has to show how much he likes it– and she’s not always strong enough to push him away.
MASATO & ALLIE
They both have their strengths and weaknesses! Masato isn’t big on shopping for fun. He will do it if he’s genuinely so bored that he has nothing better to do. He enjoys watching her try stuff on too but his patience with it only goes so far. He’s definitely better suited for errand related shopping. He enjoys the domesticity of it! It makes him feel like he managed to achieve the life people dearest to him wanted him to have.
Grocery shopping with him is always a team effort. It’s quicker than going alone. They keep each other focused and he makes sure she doesn't buy too many unnecessary items– stuff that he knows will just go to waste. Of the pair, he’s got the better memory. It’s likely because he always writes down things after they’ve run out or when things are low.
He’s super sweet about everything too. He always goes for the stuff out of reach without her needing to ask, or picks up the stuff he knows will take her a bit of effort. Sometimes if she’s being bratty about wanting to do things herself, he’ll lift or he’ll simply spot her to make sure she’s not overexerting herself.
When they’re just standing in an aisle and trying to make a decision, he'll wrap his arms around her and sway side to side while teasing her about how long she’s been contemplating. He’s sooo affectionate. He’ll offer to carry the basket or push the cart just so that she’s free to hold hands. Fellow shoppers likely find them to be obnoxious.
AKIRA, MASATO & ALLIE
They’re not much different when they’re together. Masato may tone down his affection to avoid the extra attention because he knows it makes her anxious. One moment people see her holding hands with Masato while Akira leans in to kiss her. The next Akira’s hugging her while Masato moves a curl from in front of her face. Also, sticking them in settings where they don’t exactly ‘thrive’ will only make them bicker. Masato will get moody because the others are taking too long browsing the sales rack. Akira will start complaining when Masato and Allie won’t just pick a damn bag of beans. It’s a whole thing.
Each person seems to have their favorite person to do certain things with. Masato and Allie prefer one another while handling errands and Akira prefers to just leave that to them anyway. Akira prefers to shop for fun with her and vice versa while Masato prefers to shop for clothes with Akira– despite him not saying so outright.

Masato Aizawa | Texting
GEN/MM&N
Talking about what it's like to text Masato!
(Note: I did NOT feel like redoing the screenshots so that everything was current and matched each person's phone. LOL. So, take the images as a general idea and not a literal screenie from each person.)
-He has Allie saved in his cell as ‘Amorzinho’ with the heart-eyed cat emoji. Initially, it was just saved as 'Allie' but once things got pretty serious between them, he grew more and more smitten by the day. So much so that calling her by her name barely even felt right anymore.
-Masato is saved as ‘Big Koi’ in her phone after a series of changes: ‘Aizawa’ to ‘Masato’ to ‘Masa’. There’s a possibility that she will change it again, and he secretly hopes that she does.
-Before moving in together, phone calls were their main method of communication but it never stopped him from sending a cute good morning/good night text every day! She still gets them every now and then but the infrequency makes her a little sad. Though... If she just told him how she felt, he would likely go back to that– even if they’re laying in bed together!
-He tends to shorten his texts when it makes sense to, opting out of using words like, “I” or “It” when it appears in the beginning of a sentence. So, “I’ll see you soon.” will become, “See you soon.” or “It wasn’t in there.” would be, “Wasn’t there.” Stuff like that!
-He uses emojis in a way that is sort of jarring– at least it was to Allie when they first exchanged numbers. She just never imagined that such a big, mean-looking dude who looks like the physical embodiment of machismo would be sending texts littered with 😍😘💘.
-The amount of time it takes for him to respond to a message used to give her soooo much anxiety! She will never get back the hours of life she wasted, paralyzed by nerves in the beginning because she was worried that she said something he didn’t like or she made things awkward. She has since come to terms with the fact that he is simply a slow texter and unless he has sent something that requires an immediate response like “Hungry?”/ “Where are you?”, he will sit the phone down somewhere and forget until it crosses his mind that he hasn’t gotten a response yet.
-His texting speed is pretty bad too but it used to be worse when he used a smaller phone. Now, he’s got a phone with a wide enough screen and the ability to adjust his keyboard size! So, his huge thumbs aren’t clumsily mashing the wrong keys and contributing to the most incomprehensible typos known to man– now, those typos are all~ him, baby!
-He’s a huge fan of receiving audio messages, especially when they’ve been apart for a while. He won’t outright ask for one but he’ll text something like, “Miss your voice” and she will immediately get the hint. She could send him an 8 minute rant that was maybe a minute and a half of actual substance and the other six and a half as pure unnecessary rambling and he will still listen to every second, heart react and/or send a string of indecipherable emojis. It’s pure madness!
-While he may enjoy receiving audios, he’s not all too keen on sending them– at least, he wasn’t. If he wanted to talk on his phone, he’d much prefer to just make the phone call. There’s something about talking to his phone with the intention of getting a response but not hearing one immediately that he just doesn’t like. These days, if it’s for Allie, he does it without even thinking about it. Some mornings, she may wake up to an empty bed but when she rolls over to check her phone, there will be a sweet audio message waiting for her.
-He uses all emojis genuinely– very rarely does he use them for innuendo.
-He once sent a text that said, “Amor, you in the mood for 🍆 tonight? 😍” And Allie, not realizing that they were speaking two different languages, responded with something horribly risque and he was like, “Didn’t expect you to be this excited but OK! 👍 Just found the perfect recipe. Let’s try making it together” Then, she had to be the one to admit that she thought he was talking about sex and that she hates eggplant! Meanwhile, he’s looking down at her, confused with a bag full of groceries– fresh eggplant included! SO EMBARRASSING!
-When apart, he’ll send sweet messages out of the blue like, “Thinking of you”, “Can’t wait to see you” and “Proud of you”. It doesn’t really matter what sort of day she’s having, those types of texts go such a long way.
-He hardly ever corrects his typos which is insane because they can be so egregious that not even context clues will tell her what the hell that man is on about! She’ll have to ask him to try again and only then, does he realize!
-He’s not one to send a string of messages. If he feels that what he’s got to say cannot fit into a single text, he’d rather just make a phone call.
-Unfortunately, he doesn’t send pictures unprompted. He doesn’t like taking photos of himself in general. A quick scroll through his camera roll would tell that much– it’s mostly Allie or the two of them. Occasionally, the older fish may appear. He finds that taking selfies are a little embarrassing and he feels awkward taking them.
TEXTING AKIRA
[Masato is the blue text]
◈ Ever since he got his first cell after prison, Akira’s name was saved under a surname. So, originally, ‘Kagari’ and after becoming more familiar with him, ‘Nishikiyama.’ He hasn’t changed it, even after finally referring to him by his given name. He hasn’t really given it any thought, but it’s likely that even if he didn’t think about it, he would leave it as it.
◈ While they do have photos of each other, they still haven’t saved one as their profile picture.
◈ Their text conversations rarely ever go anywhere unless they’re talking about work stuff or Allie. They leave each other on read a lot. In all fairness, Masato’s fault is that he simply forgets to respond and by the time he remembers, there isn’t much of a point anymore.
◈ Due to reason stated above, they opt to call each other more because it is the quickest, easiest option.
◈ One scroll through their messages would show that most of their texts are:
-Masato checking to see if Akira’s had anything to eat. -Akira figuring out Masato’s ETA so that he can drag him along somewhere. -Gym plans -KoiBar related stuff -Secret plans for Allie
[Masato is M.Allie is A. Akira is N. ]
GROUP CHAT
◈ Allie is the one that made the group chat with them and she named it, ‘The Koi Pond’, which earned an audible sigh from Masato and a dry ‘Really?’ from Akira.
◈ Strangely, the guys are more responsive in the group chat than they are in their own private messages. Oftentimes, these conversations have nothing to do with her. She has no clue why they do that.
◈ The GC is where Masato tends to drop those freaking ridiculous chain messages. He knows they’re not real but he says that he does it ‘just in case’ because ‘you can’t be too careful’. He’s too superstitious for his own good.
◈ Akira can be a bit of a drama queen when he’s feeling annoyed, jealous or ignored. So, he will leave the group chat sometimes. Masato always grills him for it when he’s added back to the chat. He thinks it’s attention seeking behavior and very, very annoying.
◈ Allie sends memes that no one but her appreciates. He does not understand the joke and he often has to have her explain which leads it to not even be funny anymore.
◈ Whether it’s serious in nature or pure jest, everyone has experienced being double teamed at least once in there.
◈ Under the guise of trying to make one another jealous, they’ll randomly drop pictures or videos of Allie that they took when the other wasn’t around. She has since come to realize that they’re essentially trading right in front of her and… She’s not too sure how to feel about that.

Akira Nishikiyama | Texting
GEN/MM&N
Talking about what it's like to text Akira!
(Note: I did NOT feel like redoing the screenshots so that everything was current and matched each person's phone. LOL. So, take the images as a general idea and not a literal screenie from each person.)
◈ Allie's number is saved in his phone as 'My Girl'. Before they got together, it was saved as 'Alyssia'. She discovered her new name when he misplaced his cell and she helped find it by calling him. She was on a high for weeks!
◈ Akira's number is saved in her phone as 'Pretty Koi'. Before they got together, it was saved under 'Akira Nishikiyama'. He hates that she has him saved as 'Pretty Koi', but he accepts it because at least it wasn't his full name anymore. That felt too distant.
GENERAL
◈ Before moving in together, texting was their main method of communication. He still opts to text her even while under the same roof. He’ll text her from another room when he doesn’t feel like searching for her or if he’s trying to be discreet. He even texts her while they’re in the same room. His reasoning: “Not everything’s meant for others to hear, babe.”
◈ He texts mostly in full sentences. It’s still informal though. If he’s being curt/dry, chances are he’s got an attitude about something.
◈ If he’s using punctuation all of a sudden, that’s also a tell that he’s got an attitude about something.
◈ When he’s expecting a message, he’s quick to respond and ensures that he’s got his phone on his person so that he doesn’t miss anything. Once the conversation is over though, he’s not paying much attention to it anymore. He’s not into texting all day, non-stop.
◈ He thinks that emojis are ugly as hell. He doesn’t like them at all. He refuses to use them. Instead, he uses kaomoji and emoticons. Allie used to use emoticons but after she made the switch to emojis, he was so annoyed by it and told her that her messages looked childish 😭. He’s pretty much over it now but he still won’t use them. If he does, it’s generally because the messenger he’s using replaced his emoticon with their emoji. (Which peeves him.)
◈ When he’s got his phone on him, he’s pretty snappy with responses! He’s even faster than Allie. He’s a little annoying about it too! He’s the reason why she has turned off her typing indicator. She’ll be texting her little heart out, next thing you know, the phone buzzes with a new message and he’s like, “Damn, babe! Are you drafting your autobiography or something?” and once she finally sends her little 4 sentences, he grills her for it. He’s so mean!!
◈ Before she showed him how to send audio, he used the speech-to-text function pretty often. He had far too much faith in that thing and rarely ever double checked what it said before hitting send. He accidentally texted, “Allie, where did you put my conditioner? Send. Send. What the fuck? Why won’t it send? SEND. Ah, there we go. No wait, fuck–”
◈ One of her favorite things about texting him is that he never hesitates to send pictures, either of himself or to show what he’s up to. She could ask what he’s doing and he may send a picture of his half eaten meal, the view where he’s at or if she’s lucky, a foggy mirror selfie where his hair is damp and he’s got a towel hanging around his waist. She usually gets really annoyed by people sending pictures of themselves for no reason, but apparently he can do whatever he wants!
◈ He’s always asking for pictures of her! In the very beginning, her paranoia led her to believe he was only doing that in an attempt to keep tabs on her. Who knows if there’s any truth to that or not, but she has nothing to hide. Plus, the overfilled ‘Allie’ photo album in his phone is a bit of a motivator. Ulterior motive or not, she thinks it’s sweet that he’s collecting a bajillion photos of her! 🥺
[Akira is the grey text]
TEXTING MASATO
◈ He has had Masato’s number saved under ‘Masato’ since the start. There was never a point in time where he referred to the other man as ‘Aizawa’, he was ‘Masato-kun’ when they met and now he’s simply ‘Masato’.
◈ While they do have photos of each other, they still haven’t saved one as their profile picture.
◈ Majority of their text conversations are brief unless they’re talking about Allie or work-related things. They generally read what the other says without a reply unless absolutely necessary. As far as Akira is concerned, Masato takes too long to respond and he has little interest in waiting for him.
◈ Due to reasons stated above, they opt to call each other more because it is the quickest, easiest option.
◈ One scroll through their messages would show that most of their texts are:
-Masato checking to see if Akira’s had anything to eat. -Akira figuring out Masato’s ETA so that he can drag him along somewhere. -Gym plans -KoiBar related stuff -Secret plans for Allie
[Masato is M. Allie is A. Akira is N. ]
◈ Sometimes, when he’s being the resident drama queen because he’s annoyed or feeling ignored, he’ll just up and leave the chat. It never lasts. They reel his ass riiiiight back in.
◈ Allie sends memes that no one but her appreciates. He does not understand the joke. He does not find it funny. So sad :(
◈ Akira tries to plan outings in the chat but ultimately decides to just talk in person once everyone is home because the conversation gets derailed and there’s no hope of getting back on track.

Poly Fluff AtoZ | MM&N AU
The inner workings of the Masato/Allie/Akira dynamic!
Questionnaire by scealaiscoite
A = Affection; Is anyone more overly affectionate than the others? When it comes to physical vs verbal, who prefers what?
They’re all pretty affectionate to be honest. However, if we’re to point fingers: the most affectionate of the three of them, after Allie would be Masato then Akira. Allie prefers a mixture of the physical and verbal. Masato is a very big physical touch guy so he would prefer physical affection and while he enjoys the physical, Akira benefits alot from words of affirmation.
B = Bed; What’s the sleeping situation like? Are there regular sleeping arrangements - does anyone like to sleep alone?
Majority of the time they sleep together, Masato at her back and Akira in front. However, there are a couple days a week when they will go to their own rooms (because they mostly just sleep in what’s technically Allie’s room). They do one-on-one’s or sleep alone if they’re in need of space. Akira is the least likely to want to sleep alone unless he’s doing so to be away from Masato. If he knows that Masa will be in his room and she’s alone, he’ll try so hard to convince her to room with him.
C = Comfort; when someone’s feeling down, how do the rest look after them?
Each person has their own way of providing another person comfort. She comforts them however they may need it at the time and the boys, in their weird, sometimes roundabout way, provide comfort to each other. No one ever has to fend for themselves.
D = Dates; what do dates look like? Who usually plans them, or is it a group affair?
They try to keep one-on-one dates alive– doing them every so often but for the most part they do most things together. Akira is the most likely to plan dates but it’s not because the others dont want to contribute, it’s just that Akira is so fucking picky and he will FUSS about it if he’s not happy. Sometimes, it’s just easier to leave it in his ‘capable’ hands. He used to make everything extravagant because that’s kinda what he always did to woo her but with Masa to consider, he toned it down a great deal. He tends to leave the extravagance to the one-on-one dates which she can appreciate because it can get a little overwhelming sometimes.
E = Events; who drags everyone else to their family/friends’ events?
Since they’re all living in the States, I suppose that’s a given- Allie. Although, Akira has had her fly to Japan with him on multiple occasions. Very rarely does Masato come though. Akira doesn’t want to explain the relationship and Masato doesn’t want to deal with the hassle of keeping it a secret. Masato hardly ever goes back home since he doesn’t feel he has much to go back to. A few of his relatives from Brazil flew in to see him though and that was a great time except for the fact that they lied that Akira was their roommate… Masa says that he doesn’t really care if his family knows. In fact they’re certain they pieced together that something was off by the time they left, but he only did that as payback for Akira not wanting to acknowledge him in Japan.
F = Fights; are arguments something that happen often? what are they over, and how are they resolved?
Sure, there are petty arguments here or there. The more blow out fights are between the boys though. Sometimes it’s just Akira’s snark. Sometimes, Masato is in a mood of his own. Sometimes it’s jealousy. It can be anything really. A lot of their fights used to become physical but now it’s mainly just yelling at each other chest to chest… So, progress? Right? They used to fight really badly in the beginning– to the point where Allie thought it wouldn’t work but they overcame it. There was one instance since then that got pretty bad. Masato packed up and left the house for a week. He was furious with Akira but he hardly even reached out to Allie while he was gone. They were so worried that it might’ve been over and it was back to just the two of them but no, Masa came back home. Akira made a snarky comment about being disappointed he wouldn’t have her all to himself again but she could tell by the way he started interacting with Masato since then that he was glad to have him back.
G = Getting together; How did it all come about? Were there any pre-existing relationships between them?
Oh boy. Well, like usual I have to be careful with how I answer this because a lot of their beginnings are sorta DOAL heavy– What I can say is this: Originally, Akira and Allie were the only ones in the relationship. Due to some drama between them, they split for a while and started to see other people (not the first time). During this time, she got close to Masato. She fell for Masato hard– like really hard. He was a little slow to come around but eventually, he fell for her too and when he did, he fell even harder… She never really got over Akira, though. She couldn’t.
It seemed the feeling was mutual because once he saw them together in a hotel bar, (he was with someone else too) he was livid seeing her with someone else… seeing her happy with someone else… HIM, especially. By the next week, he was at her door demanding that she break it off and work things out with him but she refused. She didn’t think it would be fair but he didn’t care and he persisted.
There was… a lot of melodrama. Allie did things she wasn’t proud of. There were lots of hurt feelings– hurt faces too… the boys came to blows a couple times. It was horrifying and embarrassing. She even walked away from it all. Nish kept telling her, “You can’t walk away from me and expect me not to find you.” Again, so much melodrama.
In the end, they wanted her to choose but she really couldn’t…
Originally, as a joke she suggested dating them both but it was like, Akira assumed that the relationship with Masato wouldn’t last anyway. So, he agreed to a sort of open relationship between them. Masato was hesitant. He took a few days but he agreed too. In the beginning it was supposed to be that she dated them separately (and ofc, they could date other people if they wanted).
Then, they started to argue about who spent too much time with her and they started popping in on the other person’s time. Eventually, what started as them attempting to annoy each other so much that the other would give up and leave turned into them somehow becoming good friends.
H = Hobbies; Does anyone share any hobbies/passions? How do they include the rest of their partners in them?
The boys both enjoy sparring. They fish together a lot as well. Akira takes her cruising with him and they take turns driving. A lot of times, this turns into them visiting an area they haven’t been to and checking out the local boutiques in the area to do some shopping. Masato and Allie are always on the prowl for new desserts to try- be it making them at home or finding a shop not too far from home. The boys have lured her into dancing. She’s tried getting them into more modern video games. Masato is always down but Akira hadn’t played games since he used to hit up the game centers in Tokyo back in the day. Akira likes to include Allie in his painting, which consists of using her as a live model. They basically make it a paint and sip, but she’s not painting, she’s posting and keeping him company. They read together too. Masato will listen to them talk about the books but he rarely ever sits and reads with them.
I = In sickness and in health - When someone falls ill, who’s the carer and who’s the germaphobe? Is there anyone that resists being looked after?
Allie is the carer and the germaphobe but her germaphobia is mainly a symptom of OCD so she tries to fight against it. Both of those boys are stubborn as all fucking hell. Masato is the most stubborn. He could be hacking up a lung and will deny he’s sick .His cold, stiff body could be lowered in his grave and his ghost would lean onto his headstone and deny that he’s even dead. He will do everything he shouldn’t do when he’s sick– exercise, cook, cuddle up with Allie knowing that he’s contagious. He doesn’t get it.
Akira is really bitchy (well, bitchier) when he’s sick and while he has his stubborn moments: denying that he’s sick, lying that he’s taken his medicine, refusing to stay in bed for “too long”, he does at least let Allie take care of him. He just complains THE ENTIRE TIME.
If she ever gets sick, they will tag team responsibility as caregivers and they are really sweet. She never has to lift a finger. It’s amazing that they allow her to do that BUT THEY DON'T ALLOW THEMSELVES THE PRIVILEGE OF REST!
J = Joker; Who’s got the best sense of humor? Do they like to tease and banter with everyone else?
It’s between Nish and Allie. Masato does joke around with them but he’s certainly the more serious of the trio.
K = Knowing; Who can read their partners like a book? Is there anyone who’s got their walls up, even around their partners?
Masato is extremely perceptive. It’s honestly impressive because when they first met, she wouldn’t have taken him for that type but yeah, he can read them cover to cover. He knows the moment there’s something wrong. He almost always knows what’s wrong with her. He can tell when Akira is off but he can’t always tell the reason. Masato is an open book though. He’s hardly ever going to hide how he’s feeling or what he’s thinking. He says what’s on his mind, sometimes to his detriment.
Akira trusts them about as best as his traumatized mind will allow him to. He’s very open– I mean, he sorta had to let down some of those walls for the sorta relationship he’s in. Trust is key. However, he’s still going to do what he feels he needs to keep himself from getting hurt.
L = Lavish; Is there anyone who really likes to treat their partners/show them off? How do the rest tend to react - who revels in it, and who’s made shy by it?
Akira. Nishikiyama. He spoils her fucking rotten and it’s honestly so much– too much! He buys her things with names she can’t pronounce ‘just because’ and takes her places with price tags she’s ashamed to quote because he thinks she needs to expose herself to ‘new things’ and venture out of her comfort zone’. When she’s had a bad day or a bad week, she can trust that he’s going to have something up his Canali sleeve.
He sorta treats her like a dress up doll sometimes- which can be overwhelming. He thinks they look good together- and she’s honored but sometimes, just a bouquet of flowers and snuggling up on the couch will suffice. Masato used to get annoyed with Akira doing these things but these days, he knows that that’s just how he shows his love. All he ever cares about now is that Akira isn’t pushing her too far out of her comfort zone and if he is, then he’ll advocate for her.
M = Memories - Is anyone more on the sentimental side?
They all have moments where they can be sentimental but nothing too over the top… Okay, maybe I lied.. Maybe it’s Allie. Just a little…
N = Nights; What’s the nighttime routine like when they’re all together?
(So long as there weren’t activities that led them to bed in the first place) Masato usually gives her a nudge, telling her that it’s getting late because she will straight up stay up until the next day. If anyone hasn’t showered, they’ll potentially shower with her. Akira might join her for skin care while Masato is in the other sink brushing his teeth. She takes her medication while Masato snuggles up. Akira is typically the last in the bedroom and last to bed. He never closes his eyes until he sees that she’s settled.
O = Open; How open is everyone with one another?
There is nothing in this world that Allie wouldn’t share with them. They know every sordid or embarrassing detail about her and the inner workings of her mind. Masato, as stated before, is an open book. There may be a few things that they have that he’d prefer Allie keep between the two of them, but as far as he’s concerned, as long as Akira is around, it’s best if everyone is on the same page. And he thinks that requires honesty. Akira is more open with her than he is with Masato about some personal things just because he feels he can be more vulnerable with me. Then, there are other things that neither of them know and trying to figure it out would be like pulling teeth.
P = PDA; What’s pda like with them? Is there anyone who loves it, and anyone who’s less fond of it? What actions/words does it manifest as?
Personally, they don’t give a damn who is around, if they’re wanting to kiss or hug her, they’re going to do it. Masato knows that she can get really shy with PDA so while he doesn’t avoid it entirely, he does turn it down when in public. He just makes up for it at home. Akira, on the other hand, is going to do whatever he wants because he finds amusement in her embarrassment.
Masa: Hand holding, hugging, back and/shoulder rubbing, kissing the forehead/cheek. Nish: Hand holding, hugging, kissing on the lips, touching her hair in some fashion, hand dangerously close to her ass but not quite.
Q = Quiet; Who prefers to spend their time with their partners out and about, and who likes to spend it at home?
Both of them prefer a nice day out and about- doing different types of things of course. Meanwhile, Allie would muuuuch prefer to stay home. Most of their free days involve them trying to drag her out of the house or her trying to convince them that staying in is Actually a Good Idea, Actually!
R = Romantic; Is anyone a bit of a sap for their partners?
Akira is quiet about it but Masato wears the Sap Badge loudly and proudly! There’s never a day where Allie has to question or doubt if that man still loves her. He likes to show off his love for her in ways that for the longest time, she thought the only way she’d experience it was by watching old romance films. He turns on slow music and pulls her away from whatever she’s doing to dance with me. He writes her letters- sometimes they’re in Portuguese so she has to beg him to translate. Sometimes, he refuses and makes her use a translator. It’s his way of trying to teach her the language- Idk how effective it is but it’s still sweet, I think! He holds her close and serenades me. Ahhh, it’s so cheeeeesy- but it works! She’s never without a couple vases of flowers if those two have anything to say about it.
S = Sharing; Is there anyone who’s particularly territorial of their partners?
I suppose they all are. In the beginning, Allie used to be more okay with sharing them, considering- I mean… The Obvious. However, after it got to a point where Nish stopped seeing other people and focused solely on her, Masa never really tried much aside from one person. She found her becoming extremely jealous at even the possibility of someone else coming in and disturbing what they have. It’s unconventional but it works. The guys, on the other hand, will go rabid if they so much as think there’s someone else. They don’t even like her joking about it. They’ve figured out a system that works for them and they’ll be damned if they have to scoot over for someone else. That said, just because they see eye to eye on that doesn’t mean they always see eye to eye with one another. Sometimes they get very jealous and it’s the cause of some of their pettiest arguments.
T = Terms of endearment; Nicknames! Who’s crazy on them, and who do they make cringe? What’re the go-to’s?
Masato is always using Portuguese terms of endearment. The main ones are: amor and amorzinho. However, he does sprinkle some different ones in from time to time. Nish tends to use babe or (adjective) girl; pretty girl, sweet girl- that sorta thing. Allie is quick to toss out a baby, love, darling– Other than that, she just calls them Masa and Nish. They do call her Allie but if they called her by her real government name, her heart would drop because that would typically mean trouble.
U = Urge; Who’s the most impulsive? Who do they loop into their plans, and who entertains their antics?
She can be in ways but Akira certainly takes this crown. He gets ideas in his head and he starts on making them reality. He doesn’t have to take much to convince Allie and if she’s in, Masa is usually in. They really need a voice of reason in this dynamic…
V = Vacations; How do holidays go? Are they big exotic trips, or the occasional staycation?
Akira takes the reins on the planning. He’ll hear them out about where they’d like to stay and for how long they’re willing to be gone but aside from that, he has the final say. He honestly spoils them. When they vacation, Allie honestly doesn't mind the extravagance as much because the mindset is: this isn’t something I can see everyday. Meanwhile Akira’s is: go big or go home. Masato doesn’t really care so long as his requests are considered.
W = Worthy; How are insecurities handled? Is anyone more self-conscious than the others?
She’s definitely the most self-conscious, but they all struggle with some form of insecurity. Akira with his self worth. Masato with his body issues. Allie with her weight or even her future. What’s interesting is that none of them think that there’s anything wrong with the other but sometimes those thoughts just get a little ugly. It’s nice to have the other person there to share those feelings with occasionally and have them give a pat on the back and remind them that you’re perfect and that it’s going to get better- in their own little way.
X = XOXO; Who checks up on their partners a lot when they’re apart? Do they call, or are texts enough to make them feel close?
They all check up on each other. When separated for long periods, the group chat goes crazy. Phone calls are certainly the preference though.
Y = Yearn; Who misses their partners the easiest (ie, calls them to hear their voices when all they’ve done is run to the grocery store)?
It seems as though Akira gets sorta antsy when he’s away from Allie for a while. Not because he’s worried she’ll do anything but just because he’s worried that she won’t come back. It’s unclear where that fear stems from– it could be something deep rooted. Maybe he thinks something will happen to her or if he thinks she’s just going to get too overwhelmed with them- with him someday? No clue… She misses them a lot too but Akira sorta becomes like a puppy when their owner leaves for work. It used to be a little suffocating but she’s used to it now.
Z = Zealous; who was especially eager in their pursuit of the relationship? Was anyone more reserved in their want for it?
When it was just Nish and Allie, they realized they wanted to be together around the same time, making both eager. It was a very passionate relationship for a very long time, even through the break ups. There’s always been passion and eagerness– partially because they were so attracted to each other’s toxicity? Who knows. As far as Masa, it was pretty one sided there for a while and when he did come to want her, he held back a lot “for Nishikiyama-san” until finally he couldn’t anymore.

KULEMIVERSE | KIDS AU
TOUMA, RIN & IZUMI
Initially, the Kids AU was a just random branch of the MM&N AU, but when I am in the mood to do solo stuff aka the Daily AU, I will sometimes take one of the guys and his child(ren) and treat it like a more "traditional" household rather than the complicated blended family that it began as. Here, I will talk about the kiddos in Kids AU as it relates to MM&N and then at some point I will post a separate thing talking about each father and his child(ren). For simplicity’s sake, I will be heavily generalizing the kids’ behaviors and personalities all the way up to about age 9-10 because I jump back and forth between them being toddlers or children in this AU.
(Having to reuse old pics bc I stupidly deleted ALL of my sims files at one point without backing up all the active saves and wound up losing my Kids AU file :< I tried to remake them but ahhh they didn't come out exactly the same and I guess I got attached to the originals. I'll update this as some point once I have remakes that I can live with!)
TOUMA AIZAWA
Touma is the first-born and is fathered by Masato Aizawa. He takes after his father in a plethora of ways, but physically, he’s the spitting image of him. Many people joke that Allie’s genes didn’t even try with him. Even as an infant and toddler, he’s taller and stockier than his siblings. He’s a tad darker-skinned than his siblings and has a tighter curl pattern too. He has a mean resting face, but he can be the sweetest thing. He just has a habit of mirroring his father’s expressions.
He is respectful toward adults but he can be a little rough with kids his own age. While he is usually pretty shy when he first meets people, he explodes with energy the moment he feels comfortable and safe. He’s rambunctious by nature, much like his father was as a child.
Despite only being a year older than his siblings, he takes his role as the eldest very seriously. He is protective of them and never lets anyone cause them harm, be it physically or emotionally. He’s probably the most protective of his little sister, Izumi, not because she is a girl but because he thinks she is a crybaby who never does anything to take care of herself.
He struggles academically, but loves going to school– probably because it gives him an opportunity to get involved in sport related extracurriculars. His parents tend to give him the most attention when it comes to homework, because he gets frustrated quickly when he doesn’t understand things.
Overall, he’s a little short-tempered, but responds well to discipline. Of his parents, while he LOVES his dad, he seems to like his mom more. That’s probably because she is more lenient than his father.
When at home, he tends to speak English mostly because he uses it all day at school anyway. He usually only makes an effort to speak Japanese if he’s talking to Akira, who he refers to as Papa Akira. His father has been making an effort to teach him Portuguese since he first learned to speak and though he understands a lot, he’s still got a long way to go.
RIN NISHIKIYAMA
Rin is the second-born but is the eldest twin, fathered by Akira Nishikiyama. Personality-wise, there are many attributes that he’s taken from his father, the biggest of which is his charisma. He is quite charming for a kiddo! He knows how to talk his way through almost any and everything, which comes in handy because he’s a sneaky little thing and is often the cause of his siblings getting into trouble.
He and his twin share similar tan complexions. His height is pretty much average for his age and he’s more slender than his big brother is. Rin has a big mess of bouncy curls that he’s taken a pair of scissors to more than once out of boredom. His brown eyes are almost as mischievous as his father’s was when he was a boy and many say that he has his mother’s smile.
Although he is the middle child, he acts as if he holds the authority of the eldest toward both of his siblings but that quickly changes once it’s time to point fingers. He has picked up a habit of lying, it’s mostly when it comes to getting out of trouble but his parents are trying to correct that behavior before it gets out of control. His lying tell is covering his mouth because Masato, who Rin and his twin sister refer to as Papa Masa, told him that his tongue turns gold when he tells a fib.
He’ll figure out one day that Papa Masa was lying himself, but for the time being, it helps because the little rascal can be quite convincing.
He is talkative by nature and flourishes in social settings with kids his age. He’s seemingly popular in school and is always asking his parents if he can bring various kids home to play. They don’t mind it though because he’s doing well academically and they do what they can to encourage him to stay on track with that.
He loves his parents, but he seems to be more attached to Papa Masa at the time, who he often confides in that he fears his parents love Izumi more than him (they don’t).
Like Touma, Rin speaks more English than Japanese, much to his father’s disappointment. He struggles with Japanese more than his siblings do and doesn’t put in as much effort to try.
IZUMI NISHIKIYAMA
Izumi is Rin’s twin sister, younger by 3 1⁄2 minutes. She is the only daughter of the household and is fathered by Akira Nishikiyama. The boys often wondered if Izumi gets preferential treatment due to her being a girl because she gets into less trouble than them, however what it takes them a while to realize is that Izumi is just as sneaky as her twin brother is. She just does a better job at hiding it.
In her younger years, she is very clingy with her parents and while she adores her mom, she seems to prefer her father because he’s a lot less firm than her mother is. Like her oldest brother, she can be quiet around new people but she is very chatty with her siblings. She can be a little selfish and hesitant to share. She is better with her brothers, but getting her to open up and be generous with other kids is still a work in progress.
She’s very sensitive and will cry at the drop of a hat, but it might be worth investigating if her tears are always genuine because she’s come to learn that crying to the right parent helps her get her way. Thanks to that parent, she is allergic to the word, ‘No’.
Izumi and her twin share the trait of having big, curly hair but Izumi’s hair is twice the length of her twin’s and the curl pattern is a bit looser. She’s got long, thick eyelashes like her father, and though she certainly has his chin, she has more of her mother’s bone structure. She is also slender and around the same height as Rin.
She loves to dress up. In fact, something she and her father bond over is shopping– probably because he spoils the girl rotten. She likes colorful clothes with pretty things on them like butterflies, flowers and gemstones.
She is a good student and is adored by any teacher who has her. She regularly receives awards and rewards for her academics and good behavior. She’s more patient with school than her brothers are and often helps them with their homework (read: does their homework for them).
There’s no telling for sure if her academic prowess has anything to do with her ability to retain information or not but she speaks both English and Japanese fluently. She can switch between them easily, and often does depending on if she’s speaking to her parents or her siblings. She’s even picked up a little bit of Portuguese from listening to Touma’s lessons.

Onigiri | MM&N AU
Akira making lunch dredges up old memories from his childhood.
His presence in the kitchen startled her. When she heard commotion in the home gym on her way downstairs, she was almost certain the guys had been in there together.
Lining the island where he stood was an unopened roll of plastic wrap, a platter with barely anything on it, a medium sized silver dish and Akira’s favorite wooden bowl. He was in the middle of shaping a helping of rice in the palm of his hand, completely oblivious to her watchful eye.
He was still shirtless from his shower earlier that morning, allowing full view of the way his pecs and biceps danced along with each fluid motion. He had gone to press a hefty scoop of rice into his palm, spoon a generous amount of what appeared to be tuna into the center, then pressed and shaped. Once he was satisfied with the result, he pressed a thin sheet of nori at the bottom and secured it to both sides before placing it onto the platter along with the others.
When he rearranged the existing onigiri on the platter, he glanced at the door. A small smile lifted his cheeks as he returned to his work.
“Creep. I knew I felt eyes on me.”
“Sorry,” she smiled, finally inviting herself into the kitchen and rounded the island so that she could wrap her arms around his waist. “I was just surprised to see you here. What… is happening here actually?”
“C’mon, babe. What’s it look like?” he said in a snarky tone. “I’m making lunch.”
Giving him a squeeze, she pressed her cheek hard against the scarred skin of his back reveling in his warmth a few seconds longer before finally letting go.
“Yeah, but why are you making lunch?”
“Why’d you have to ask like that? Did you forget that I can actually make some stuff?”
“Of course I didn’t. I’m just… It’s a rare sight, is all.”
“Well, I’ve got two personal chefs under one roof now. Why should I get my hands dirty when I know you guys’ll take care of me?”
“Yuck.” Allie tucked some loose strands of hair behind his ear. “Something, something ‘weaponized incompetence’.”
“Yuck.” he repeated, continuing to make his rice balls. “Something, something– take your big English words and shove it, babe.”
She laughed, resting against the counter.
She couldn’t help but drink him in– the softness in his usually sharp gaze, the stray hairs of his loose bun hanging in long wisps against his face, the occasional clench in his jaws, something he often did when he was in focus. After a long silence, she noticed something in the barely there smile that graced his imperfect lips, an almost bittersweetness and she knew then that he had been lost in thought. In fact, he might have been long before she even joined him in the kitchen.
There weren’t very many meals in his repertoire, even he could admit that, but Akira’s onigiri was a prized gem in this household, despite its rarity. She supposed that there was a reason for that, and that reason was likely the cause of the sweet, but far away look on his face now.
The first time Akira ever made onigiri for her was completely by happenstance. It was the earlier days of their romance, back when waking up next to one another in the morning was called ‘an overnight’.
She still remembered how eager he was to lure her into his big, underutilized kitchen with the promise of a rolled omelette that would ‘make her cum’ as he so crassly put it. However, when he opened the fridge, it was scantily stocked with a single egg remaining in the carton, beer, juice and random condiments. He searched his cabinets until he could find something to whip together and after finding a can of tuna, he opted to make onigiri with tuna and mayo filling.
Even back then, she was stunned by how precise and efficient his process was. Every movement was so practiced, graceful even. She teased him then about if he was simply trying to come off as cool, but he seemed more embarrassed than anything that she would use such words to describe a random thing he learned as a kid– a survival skill, he called it jokingly.
It took some time for him to elaborate on that but once it did, she pressed a little harder to gain a deeper understanding and it was from there that she learned about the tasks at Sunflower Orphanage. Everyone was tasked with each chore at least once a month, but he was assigned to meal duty more often than others simply because he made the most complaints about it. When he was made to prepare everyone’s school lunch for the next day, they went with onigiri since it was the cheapest, easy to ration option.
Thirty-six rice balls, he’d repeat. Thirty- six, thirteen extra because the eldest kids got two.
He didn’t talk about those days often, but when he did, she made it a point to treasure every minute detail, store them in the lockbox in her heart and keep her fingers crossed for an opportunity to hear more.
Akira turned to her with an expectant look on his face that startled her out of her thoughts. They stood there silently looking at one another before realization dawned on him.
“You didn’t hear a word I said, did you?” he asked, a dashing smile creeping on his lips again.
“You were… speaking?”
“Yeah,” he gestured toward the roll of plastic wrap with the point of his chin. “Wash up and help me wrap these, would you?”
“Sure!” she answered, and quickly did as she was told.
Once her hands were dry, she ripped a sheet of plastic wrap but grabbed a rice ball with her bare hand. She put up a bit of a fight against the onigiri and given the amount of scattered, sticky rice clinging to her palm it was clear who the winner was. She let out a sound of defeat which startled him out of the mindless shaping of what was in his own hands.
“Of course you did it the same way he did.” he chuckled, “Here, let me show you.”
After placing the perfectly shaped onigiri onto the platter, he took a new sheet of plastic to demonstrate. “It’s much cleaner if you take the plastic into your hand like this and then grab the rice ball… Like that. Then, you wrap it carefully… Like this. See?”
“Ohhh.”
“Or,” he says, grabbing another sheet then taking the onigiri into his hand. “You could fold the plastic like this… Then, lie it on the counter and fold it in… Like that, whichever is easier.”
She nodded, taking a new sheet of wrap. “Okay, I’ve got it.”
He pressed a kiss to her temple and returned to his previous task. “You’re gonna save me a little time. Thanks, babe.”
“Akira…” she said, frowning at the state of her wrapping, which wasn’t nearly as neat as his. “When did you teach Masa this?”
He snorted out a negative.
“Oh, it’s just that you said ‘he’ does it like I did. I just assumed...”
“Oh, that?” Akira inhaled so sharply that Allie wondered if perhaps she should have left it alone.
“I must’ve been thinking out loud. No, it wasn’t him. It was Kiryu… Remember I told you that I’d do this for school lunch when we were at Sunflower?”
“Of course, I remember.”
“Kiryu, he… I’d ask him to lend me a hand because I was making so fucking many. Kiryu would come in, grab them with his dry ass, probably dirty hands and the rice would cling to him.”
When she heard him chuckle, she giggled softly beside him.
“Man," he shook his head. "he really pissed me off because the idiot wasn’t delicate with them at all! Some of them would break apart and we’d have to try and mold some of them back together in the plastic. Some of them, he’d press so hard that the filling spilled out.”
Allie smiled, “It’s funny to imagine little you taking cooking duty so seriously.”
“Back then, I had to!” he said, the soft curve to his lips fell. “Otherwise, Kazama wou–”
He pushed away the empty wooden bowl that had been holding the rice, then maneuvered the platter of finished onigiri so that it sat comfortably between them. Next, he ripped out multiple sheets of plastic wrap, placing them cautiously against the counter so that they wouldn’t fold.
“Anyway,” he started up again, now making quick work of wrapping the remaining onigiri. “I got tired of dealing with Kiryu’s bullshit and wound up hiring Yuko to help instead.”
“You ‘hired’ her?” she teased. “Please, that must’ve been so cute.”
“Cute?” he laughed, now leaning onto the counter so that he faced her as he wrapped. “Yeah, I mean sure, Yuko was… But, her wrapping skills were almost as awful as yours, babe. So, I was still pretty ticked off.”
Allie gasped, “H-hello?!”
“Teasing,” he said, taking the last rice ball from the platter. “You’re doing a great job.”
“Whatever you say,” she rolled her eyes, then collected the dirty dishes from the counter and rinsed them before placing them in the sink. “Hey, why’d you make so many anyway?”
“I lost a bet last night.” he sighed. “I didn’t finish Masato’s Triple 5s challenge–”
She opened her mouth to request clarification but he immediately shut it down with an exasperated, “Don’t ask.”
“Gym shit. Gotcha.”
“Anyway, my penalty was to make 15 rice balls for him.”
“He’s going to eat all 15 of these?”
As if magically summoned, Masato entered the kitchen, drenched in sweat and still in his gym attire save for the shoes. “Well, I could… Probably,” he said.
“Dude, you're dripping all over the kitchen.” Akira groaned. “Shower that shit off before you come in here.”
Masato nearly tossed the damp towel that had been draped over his shoulder but seemingly thought better of it. Instead, he continued on his mission of yanking the refrigerator open. “I would’ve, but someone forgot to refill the gym cooler. So, there’s no water left.”
“Drink shower water, then. Don’t sweat all over the food.”
“Fuck off, man.” he spat, then counteracted that with a chaste kiss against Allie’s lips. “You shower yet?”
“Uh, yeah! I did. Earlier this morning.”
“Mm, that’s too bad.” he said, gently patting her ass.
“You want me to leave these out or what?” Akira asked, arranging the onigiri until they lined up neatly on the platter.
“I’m headed up to shower now, but yeah, leave them out. I'm probably gonna eat like three after I get out.”
“That many?” Allie asked.
“Why not? It’s not everyday we get his onigiri, right?” He said, then looked at Akira. “I want mine fresh.”
“Masa, did you challenge him to that triple whatever thing just to get out of making lunch?”
He chuckled, “I wish I could say that I had, but I’ve been craving them for almost a month now. He’s a dick. So, he won’t just make them when I ask.”
“I hate it when you talk about me like I’m not even here.”
“You both do that.” She nudged him, “So, when I want you to make your yummy omurice, all I’ve gotta do is make you lose a bet?”
“No,” Akira’s eyes softened as he brought his hand to the side of her face, “all you’ve got to do is ask, babe.”
“Really?”
“He’s so full of shit!” Masato laughed, leaving them behind so that he could finally shower.
“Then, could you make it in the morning for breakfast?”
Akira frowned, “I didn’t mean so soon! You see how much onigiri I just made? I’m exhausted, Allie! I’m probably not gonna cook for another month or so.”
“But you just said–”
“I’m teasing! I’ll make you breakfast and serve it to you in bed, if that’s what you want.” He kissed her through a soft laugh, then tapped the tip of her nose with his finger. “But only because you didn’t spill about our shower this morning.”
“Ah, so he makes the bets and I keep the secrets?”
“Bingo.”

Masato Aizawa | Cooking
GEN/MM&N
IN GENERAL
He will be the first to mention how big of a guy he is and how much he loves to eat to maintain that. He grew up in a household that taught him the importance of domestic self-sufficiency. He doesn’t understand guys that don’t know how to take care of themselves and/or don’t want to take care of themselves. His upbringing led him to be quite handy in the kitchen. It’s a bragging right that he holds with much pride.
Growing up his mother and stepfather taught him how to cook, respective of their own cultures and he’s carried those lessons with him forever. Even Morinaga taught him a thing or two. He’s grateful to have had such patient teachers when it comes to cooking because he knows how to allow himself to learn from his culinary mistakes and improve from them. Now, if only he could extend that patience to other things….
He’s no gourmet chef by any stretch of the imagination but he’s confident that if he has someone sitting at his dinner table, they will leave satisfied (perhaps even craving seconds and thirds). Side note: When he cooks, he likes to “set the mood” aka, turning on the right music or simply singing quietly to himself. He has a habit of humming or whistling old songs that his mom sang while cooking when he’s thinking of her (which happens more often he realizes). He used to like having a TV in the kitchen to watch as he cooks but he noticed that it botches his focus and he’s more likely to make mistakes then.
MASATO & ALLIE
Of the many ways he and Allie spend time together, the bond they’ve built while sharing the kitchen is truly unmatched. Whether they’re tag teaming their signature breakfast or perusing blogs for a new recipe to try, cooking as a pair is a treat. It doesn’t always start out with them cooking together, it just ends up that way. Neither of them can just sit and watch the other work for long– even when they know that the other’s company is more than enough, they have to offer to help in some way.
The most common method of inserting themselves into the other’s cooking is by offering to lend a hand doing the things they know the other doesn’t enjoy. An example of this would be Allie stepping in to handle the chopping of garlic and onions in his stead because he hates the way their odors seep into his skin. He’ll be scrubbing his already dry hands on and off for hours after the fact just to get rid of it. Something he tends to do for her is peeling potatoes or tenderizing meats. She finds both of those tasks to be a waste of time, but he has the patience to deal with it.
Aside from chit chatting, there are other things she enjoys about cooking together and that’s just how freaking affectionate and loving he is. Whenever there’s a free moment, his hands will find themselves on or around her somehow. He never lets an opening to sneak a kiss go to waste and he encourages her to do the same. Sometimes he’ll drop what he’s doing just to wrap her arms around his waist before he continues. If she accidentally hurts herself, he tends to her like she’s the most precious thing on Earth and while she may swat him off and act annoyed by his babying, she secretly loves it.
Well, it’s probably not a secret because he still does it.
MASATO, AKIRA & ALLIE
Although Masato and Allie are the most likely to handle the cooking, Masato does the most cooking. He probably assumes the brunt of it because he’s the only one that genuinely enjoys it. Meanwhile, she only tolerates it and does it out of necessity. As with most things, when these koi are together, there’s bound to be a bit of bickering but the kitchen seems to bring out the worst of it and probably for good reason. Akira has a habit of whining that he doesn’t like things he sees Masato put into the food and Masa gets deeply irritated by that because he knows that he can make the exact same recipe with Akira out of the kitchen and the man would grub on it at the dining table like it’s the best thing he’s ever had. Masato has told him many times that he acts like a toddler and in this particular respect… Allie is inclined to agree.
