Dodie and Donte really are trying to ignite the spark back (was there even one? or was it just juice?) - but it's not so easy with a toddler.

Daycare Chronicles: Oddie Edition

Oddie: Alright, listen up. Who wants to be minion #1 and who wants to be minion #2?

Random Infant: Baba?

Oddie: Guess I'll have to do with you."

Another Infant: *drools*

Oddie: This is gonna be a long day…

Time to teach little Oddie about basic needs.

Donte: so...when we are hungry we...?

Oddie: cry!!

Donte: well yes but...what if daddy and mommy are not around?

Oddie: call CPS?

That night, Donte finally built up the courage to talk about his relationship with Dodie.

Donte: Dobbie...I've read your book and...are you happy in this marriage?

Dodie: Donte...I'm fine I promise. This is just something I wrote back in high school - I polished it. Are you...happy?

Donte: I actually...I'm not Dobbie. I feel like we're coasting.

Dodie: Look, I know we've been busy lately and we haven't had much time to connect....but we can work on it, right? We'll make it work

Dodie is feeling pretty good about herself today - it's true that she's achieved quite a lot.

Elevan: so you've published a book and haven't even hosted a book signing or a launch event?

Dodie: book signing? I don't think that's possible in game.

Elevan: who's managing your PR?

Dodie: what PR? I just wrote a book and...

Elevan: ok, leave this with daddy.

Tella: my rotation is coming up soon and Owen and I are inaugurating Amethyst & Ink...perhaps you could be our mixologist for the opening night? Give it a thought

Elevan: aaah gotta love some screentime!! Hope this is better than that flop winterfest party!

And this brings us to the New Year's Eve. Dodie and Donte are getting ready getting ready for the party. Donnie is making some welcome cocktails for the guests while Dodie...well she's napping because she has to stay up until past her usual bedtime. Hopefully, when the clock strikes midnight, she's awake enough to actually enjoy.

Nothing noteworthy happened the next few days, except Winterfest, which was just a chill event at home. Dodie was disappointed that her gift wasn't a horse and Oddie met the actual Father Winter - an feat in itself because he hasn't been replaced by a random looking NPC yet.

But Donte has always been quite practical, so he turns his sadness a into practical 1AM baking - and he actually creates a new family recipe, the eat-your-feelings fudge pie.
