in my own little world, JJ gets to grow up with Joel, and even though Ellie and Dina DO eventually move out to the farm, Joel's always dropping by to "check on the house" and see if it needs repairs or upgrades ... but it's actually so that he can bring the kid presnts - like carved wooden animals, a rocking horse and a brand new set of blocks that Joel spent HOURS making.
