Wisconsin to Iowa
Hello folks here is a little update of things!
To kick things off, thanks to all of you lovely folks who came out to the show in Lacrosse WI at The Rootnote, especially our friends Dustin and Shannon for putting us up. It was a fantastic time for us, and we were pleased to see so many familiar faces. Also it was awesome to see so many folks and meet some new friends from Milwaukee at the Minacqoua Brewing co. on friday. (btw the Dark dwarf was one formidable pint of hoppy delight, in case you find yourself in Minacqoua.)
The day time on friday was pretty uneventful since we were just driving all day, but we stopped off at our favorite gas station on the way and played a fun little "skill based" gambling machine for about a half an hour (Ryan, for whatever reason didn't find this to be so amusing). It was one of those games where you drop a quarter down the slot and try to push more quarters out with it. real fun stuff.
Saturday however was super fun, thanks of course to the city of Lacrosse for that. first off, we stopped again at the same gas station on the way back and again tried our quarters at the game with moderate luck. Then, some how we managed to get to our destination by about two which was way ahead of schedule, so we hung out at this sweet drum/ skate shop where our friend Dustin works.
Later on in the evening Vinnie made some salsa guac goulash and we all made some taco's which were super tasty. Unfortunately we didn't have any sour cream! Dustin however being the level headed man that he is, did not panic, but instead tossed Vinnie the keys to a moped, which he cruised around town on in search of said sour cream.
Now today we're majorly excited to be headed to Decorah Iowa, where the beer flows like wine, to see some great folks and play some tunes at T-bocs!
Check back soon!
PS.
we're getting mighty close to being done with our full length album, with only two more vocal tracks to do!

Recording and Other Stuff
First of Bah! Now that that is out of the way, I can start to talk about the crazy last couple of weeks. Nine days ago we all met up in Minneapolis and threw together as much as we could possibly fit into the truck (I think we finally discovered its max capacity) and shot up to Grand Marais to play at the gun flint tavern. We got there just in time to enjoy a quick bite and a smooth beer right before loading in. But, of course we also took some time to take in the vista first. The show started out pretty calm but turned into by far the rowdiest show we've played on the north shore.
Day two came around and we headed off down to Duluth to check into the hotel and get ready to play what turned out to be a fantastic and laid back wedding. We went shopping around town in an attempt to find some trinkets and acceptable threads to wear to a wedding. Then we showed up and went two for two with great shows, which was great to see that the bride and groom were being properly entertained.
Then came Sunday Funday! or more like Sunday drive a lot and scurry around to set things up day... we left town after meeting up with the crew (Jordan, Ian and Aron) and stopped on the border of Michigan to get some grub and liquor for the week, both of which didn't seem possible to consume in five days, both of which were consumed in five days.
The days we spent in the U.P. blew by way to quickly, but words don't do justice in describing exactly how magnificent they were. Somewhere between a Pork shoulder roast, fantastic fresh caught fish, wunderbar breakfast by Aron, a few bottles of whiskey, a few cases of beer, probably an unhealthy amount of coffee, and great times on the lake, we managed to track some stuff we are all unbelievably excited to release.
Until next time,
Stay frosty

Hell of a night, Hell of a drive.
The rest of saturday was great, after walking around town and checking out all the sights we ate some food at another brewery in town, and enjoyed hanging out with Ryan's parents who met us there to celebrate his mom's birthday.
That night at the Ore Dock Brewing Company was wild! Honestly the crowd was pretty thin at the start of the night but after coming back from our break the place was packed and people were ready to have a good time. It reminded me of playing at the Savoy in mankato when we were starting out, people were there to stomp all night to some folk music. We met a ton of fantastic people from the town and had a blast hanging out with them as late as we could, but we also needed to wake up early and get back to reality so it we made it back to the hotel by two eastern time, of course this was after Lee and I (Vinnie) stopped for some late night hot dogs being sold out of a cart next to a bar downtown.
If you ever find yourself in Marquette do yourself a favor, got to the Ore Dock Brewing Company, and try their beer The Neighborhood. Its rich, malty and defiantly my pick of their brews.
So ends another great weekend, filled with good friends, beer, stomping, noise and a heathy dose of sight seeing.
Stay frosty!
The Last Revel
Ps Stay tuned for some pictures from around town.

Sioux Falls South Dakota to Marquette Michigan
First things first! as you might notice by the new page, we are no longer The Bitterroot Band. It's been a long couple of weeks rebooting all of our accounts setting up new one and putting together new content, but we've got most of it all done so without further adieu, we are now The Last Revel.
Any ways, so thursday night we played to a responsive group of folks at the Sioux Falls jazz fest earlier in the evening. It is always pretty weird to be playing before eight but all in all it was pretty fun. After the show we packed up as quick as possible, hopped onto a near by golf cart, ran off to get paid then split town, getting back to Minneapolis at two or so in the morning
Friday was smooth sailing, we basically just got up slammed back as much coffee as we could in thirty minutes then jumped back in the truck to head out to Michigan. The drive was easy and we took turns driving so we could all get a nap in on the road. When we got to our hotel by about six o'clock I was ecstatic about being able to have time to eat my can of beans and grease my hair! Then it was gig time at the Ore Dock Brewing company. we had a couple beers set up and laughed at how awesome of a place it was considering that we had absolutely no idea what to expect.
Today we hiked around, found some places to wander around town, took pictures, and ate icecream. we also found a creepy music shop. that was a pretty weird experience... so now we're going to work on some new material for our full length to be recorded at the end of next month.
Thanks for reading
and
Stay frosty
I was pissed when i realized that some places just put way to much cream cheese on their bagels and then just don't tell you! #toomuchcream
