She/Her Ace/Aro I would normally come up with something clever but as of yet I lack the initiative. Just a tired 27 yr old who is too invested in cats both fictional and real, along with a newly developed obsession with all things X-Files.

It would be pretty cool if they made remade the Sly trilogy, just saying.. (like they did with Spyro Reignited)

For the thousand time and I’ll keep saying this, here’s where it should have ended: Mulder and Scully happily ever after living together with their son.

one of my favorite parts of the sculder dynamic is scully expressing a very advanced scientific thought and mulder just being like “i want her so bad.”
for example:
“the very idea of intelligent alien life is not only astronomically improbable, but at its most basic level, downright anti-darwinian.”
“scully, what are you wearing?”
“you're so... consumed by your personal vengeance against life whether it be it's inherent cruelties or it's mysteries that- everything takes on a- a warped significance to fit your megalomaniacal cosmology.”
“scully, are you coming onto me?”

we were robbed of an episode from skinner's pov where he is chained to his desk for a full day with the phone ringing off the hook and superiors and representatives from government agencies busting down his door for unscheduled meeting after unscheduled meeting to complain about mulder and scully's shenanigans. he has needed a bathroom break since 10 am. no one will let him eat his cucumber sandwich in peace.

there's just something about that season 1/2 affection between them that drives me absolutely insane.
the gentle carefulness, the honest confessions, the utter devotion that is so unique to them i don't think anyone will ever be able to reproduce it.
whenever they get a bit too vulnerable for their comfort they sit with it for a second and then try to turn it into something soft and playful—all while still staying true to how they feel about each other.
(it wasn't iced tea. it didn't have to be. message was received loud and clear on both sides)
imagine having to be stuck with those two in a small room for a prolonged amount of time, you'd probably watch them interact for five minutes and then pass out from the sheer amount of love and attraction crackling between them. no wonder they always work alone

any of the people who semi-regularly work with scully and mulder probably have an introductory x files speech ready to go for any newbies
"...and last but not least, take a look at the two agents over there"

"we're all waiting for the day they finally make out at a crime scene, but until then, if you want to keep your sanity, do NOT interact with both of them at once. you WILL be traumatized for life. any questions?"
"...are they. married?"
"fuck if i know, but talk to carl and you can join the betting pool."
