I think these will be my last update photos! I wanted to thank you all for following this blog and keeping up with the updates. I hope you were able to find something that can help you! I will of course be leaving this blog activated for anyone new to discover and scroll through and maybe find a network of people going through the same difficulties. It's been a whirlwind ride since I first started this blog many years ago, and I'm so grateful for the chance to be able to help and provide for everyone. Acne isn't something to be ashamed of, and every single one of you is so beautiful and strong. ❤️ Thank you for everything!

Hiiiii. I've been struggling with acne for about three years., I wouldn't consider it sever cause I've seen worse. My skin heals pretty fast, but I am so parnoid about scarring. I had a lot of acne on my forehead but I took antibiotics and it cleared, now I only have faint marks but what I'm really worried about is my cheeks. Did you expierence any deep scarring? Or are they just faint marks. I use aloe vera A LOT and it really helps but I'm SO WORRIED ABOUT IT
@harrysstardust Hi! I've experienced all kinds of acne scars, from just hyperpigmentation to ice pick scars. I would definitely say continue with your routine, since it seems to be helping you! I use alot of lotion to keep my skin moisturized and use a non-aggressive acne wash to prevent irritating my skin. Unfortunately, scars and hyperpigmentation can take a very long time to heal, if at all, so it's best to keep up your routine and in time, it'll be better!

What has your experience on birth control been like, regarding your acne? Did it have a huge, positive affect? I'm nearly 18 and have acne for 7 years. Most of my acne seems to be hormonal as it's on my chin, neck, and side of my face. I want to go on birth control, but idk if my parents will let me. (Your skin looks great btw).
@deafening--thoughts Thank you for the compliment! As for birth control, I'd say it's helped considerably! My acne is hormonal, as well, and birth control has helped to regulate my skin and prevent major breakouts from occurring. However, I still get some pimples during period week. I'm still on birth control, some 6 years later, and I'm so glad I started it. I hoped this helped you in some way!

I recently started taking accutane (I'm on day 18 right now) but my back has been aching (quite bad) ever since? Did you experience this too while taking it? I know it's some time ago for you but I am so worried!! I have scoliosis and am freaking out it's either caused by it, or harmfull to it..I just want to get rid of these stupid cysts all over my face, why does it have to be so hard?? I don't want to risk my health. It's so unfair.... :(((
I am so sorry! I know how annoying acne can be, especially since you just started your treatment! Muscle/back pain is a common effect of Accutane, and while I didn't have any problems with this, I know several other people have. If you haven't already, take some pain suppressant pills and maybe put a hot pack to the sore areas. However, since your case might be a little bit different with scoliosis, I would definitely mention it to your doctor/dermatologist the next time you go in. These signs shouldn't be ignored! But I truly understand your frustration, and I hope everything goes okay for you. I'm here if you, or anyone, needs to vent about acne <3 @iamsorryl

What kinda food/drinks would you recommend eating/drinking for acne? Or do you think that diet doesn't rlly make too much of a difference?
Honestly, I've had lots of people tell me to drastically change my diet or go vegan, but I don't particularly care to. So while I was on Accutane, nothing really changed about my eating/drinking habits. Of course, I never really had a lot of caffeine or alcohol, so I can't tell you anything on that front. I don't personally view that changing your diet while on Accutane will change anything (except drink more water), but that's just my own opinion! @thetiptoeingtulip

Do you still take accutane and absorbica? If not, were there any effects when you went off?
I am not still currently taking Accutane, no. I finished my treatment two years ago, I think. When I first came off it, I didn't feel any drastic change. My skin was still dry and lips were chapped. In fact, even today, I still rely on tons of moisturizer and chapstick to make my skin feel hydrated. Even though my face has lots of oil, it still feels tight after a shower or not moisturizing for awhile. So just expect lots of dryness! ☺ @thetiptoeingtulip

Any tips for managing skin redness on accutane?
While on Accutane, it was hard to control/maintain anything, but I would say to stay out of the sun the best you can, drink lots of water, and moisturize! Your skin is probably dry and irritated right now! I hope this helps! @thetiptoeingtulip

7.26.17 // I have a tiny red spot on my cheek where a teeny tiny pimple is forming. Nice. Also, I think my skin has finally caught up with the end of accutane because the oil production on my face has ramped back up to 100%. I'll have to see what this does to my acne! The hyperpigmentation is slowly disappearing, although being out in the sun = tan face might be helping. Hope you all are having a fantastic summer!

6.8.17 // It's the middle of summer, finally! My skin is trying to break out from stress from my summer class, but my birth control is keeping it steady! My spf 70 sunscreen is doing a great job of keeping me out of the sun. I think I will be coming up on my 4 yr anniversary of starting birth control soon! I hope you all have a great week!

Hey girl! I just started my own marketing business in a way for Monat Global (all natural hair products). I've had such an amazing return so far with the few people I've had join me in and I'm so excited on where the future could go and I'm excited to get more people in on this great deal! It's still technically a basement level business with millions in revenue so it's the perfect time to jump on. It's better to start as a top dog than the bottom! Check out my page for info! :) theres a fun vid
Great! I’m reposting this so my followers can see this too!

Hope you are well, I'm currently on birth control(2 and a half months) and it's going good (I break out much less) but I struggle with a lot of acne scars, what do you recommend for fading scars?
That’s great! I’m glad it’s doing well for you! Well I’m no dermatologist, but what I’ve been doing is moisturizing alot, like I mean ALOT, because I find that it helps the skin to maintain flexibility and health. Other than that, drink lots of water and avoid picking at the healing skin! :)  @aaeeliiaa

Hi :) I was just wondering, do deeper acne scars fill up as time goes on and become less noticeable? I have some pretty bad ones and I'm just hoping they fade away with time :/
Hello! I don’t think they’ll exactly fill up on their own, but they definitely will get lighter and less noticeable as time goes on! If you are really concerned about them, I think they are some treatments out there that can give you collagen to help fill up those scars. You can talk to a dermatologist about it, they should know! I hope this helps!  @devineneonnights
