Travel idea for couples and/or friends: We go to France, but instead of "traditional tourism", we'll visit ALL the places mentioned in Les Misérables 🇨🇵✨️

Since Bahorel is not a character we see in the musical, or at least not AS MUCH as the other Les Amis de L'ABC, I came to imagine him as looking like Emmett Forrest from Legally Blonde...

This basically started when I saw Iwan Lewis in the 2012 film; as he had played the character of Emmett a year earlier.

It's a little silly really, but I feel like my boy Bahorel deserves a little bit more attention 😆

Aaaaand...
For those who ship Valvert (Jean Valjean X Javert), imagine this conversation happening between them at some point in a Modern AU:

I really think that in a Les Misérables Modern AU, the dynamic between Jean Valjean, Cosette and Marius would be very similar to the dynamic between Hopper, Mike and El in season 3 of Stranger Things...

That's it, that's the post!

You know, to this day I find it funny that Jean Valjean's parents were called Jean Valjean (sr.) and Jeanne Mathieu; and what's more, Jean Valjean's older sister was also called Jeanne...
It's a very small detail in the story, but I find myself thinking about it every now and then 😆

I can't really explain this...but I'm conviced that Kaitlyn Dever (The Last of Us) and Katie Douglas (The Girl Who Escaped) would've been great actresses to play the roles of Éponine and Azelma Thénardier respectively!

And, if I may add, they would be perfect alongside Olivia Colman from the BBC adaptation (2018-2019). I really liked her as Mme. Thénardier (to be honest, I liked a lot of things about that adaptation, and while it wasn't "perfect", it was a good adaptation).

And, I don't know about you, but I also imagine them naming a son after their respective fathers, Jean-Georges Pontmercy

✨️ And by the way, they are an absolutely adorable family in Shōjo Cosette ✨️

How did you even think of that? 😭
Jean Valjean in the first chapters of Les Mis is really serving that “woman in a mobile game ad” energy. It makes you expect to see two buttons that say “HELP HER” and “DIVORCE”

I think we can all agree that the PERFECT theme song for Cosette and Marius would be Waterloo by ABBA, right?

And I have met my destiny in quite a similar way
The history book on the shelf
Is always repeating itself"

"Grantaire lived in a furnished room quite near the Cafe Musain. He went out and came back in five minutes. He had gone home to put on a Robespierre waistcoat."
How I imagined this scene happening:

Okay, this one is definitely one of my favorite parts of the Les Misérables manga (ARAI TAKAHIRO)

A little context for those who don't remember: at Montparnasse's request, little Gavroche went to the prison and helped some members of Patron Minette escape, as well as his father (M. Thénardier) who had been arrested with them.
With the escape having been successfully completed, Gavroche waits for a few seconds to see if his father will recognize his presence among the others, which of course does not happen because M. Thénardier is horrible both as a person and as a father. Montparnasse notices this and tries to "cheer up" the boy a little by giving him a reward for his help. After that Gavroche leaves.

And finally, there is Montparnasse asking Thénardier if he had noticed the boy who had brought the rope to him, to which the man responds negatively. And Montparnasse is visibly angry about this.
This man can forgive robberies, schemes, break-ins but not shitty parents, and I find that fascinating and funny ☠️

Does anyone know the name of the actress who plays her?
LES MIS LETTERS IN ADAPTATION - In Which Magnon and her Two Children are Seen, LM 3.2.6 (Les Miserables 1925)
One day, there was brought to him in a basket, as though it had been a basket of oysters, a stout, newly born boy, who was yelling like the deuce, and duly wrapped in swaddling-clothes, which a servant-maid, dismissed six months previously, attributed to him. M. Gillenormand had, at that time, fully completed his eighty-fourth year. Indignation and uproar in the establishment. And whom did that bold hussy think she could persuade to believe that? What audacity! What an abominable calumny! M. Gillenormand himself was not at all enraged. He gazed at the brat with the amiable smile of a good man who is flattered by the calumny, and said in an aside: “Well, what now? What’s the matter? You are finely taken aback, and really, you are excessively ignorant. M. le Duc d’Angoulême, the bastard of his Majesty Charles IX., married a silly jade of fifteen when he was eighty-five; M. Virginal, Marquis d’Alluye, brother to the Cardinal de Sourdis, Archbishop of Bordeaux, had, at the age of eighty-three, by the maid of Madame la Présidente Jacquin, a son, a real child of love, who became a Chevalier of Malta and a counsellor of state; one of the great men of this century, the Abbé Tabaraud, is the son of a man of eighty-seven. There is nothing out of the ordinary in these things. And then, the Bible! Upon that I declare that this little gentleman is none of mine. Let him be taken care of. It is not his fault.”

"🎶 I know those eyes following me
Dark and familiar and deep as the sea
I know that face, strange though it seems
Younger and kinder, it haunts all my dreams 🎶"
im obsessed OBSESSED with adult cosette recognizing eponine. the expression on her face when marius mentions her name and she sees eponine in front of her and then the moment of realization!!! and the way eponine looks at her in acknowledgement of cosette's realisation!!! they know each other, they were children together!!! it's such a small but yet poignant detail god i literally cannot stop thinking about it, thank you lily kerhoas and shan ako for including it in the show!!!
