One time Rumi stretched after being in the same position too long and Mira said "Oh biiiiiiggggg stretch" in the pet mom voice(after getting used to Derpy) on instinct.
Zoey will never let Mira live it down
The one most embarrassed though is Rumi because she feels bad that she secretly liked it

As promised, more of the fantasy AU but with Mira!
Ft. Derpy who I’m still trying to work into everything
More notes below
Mira definitely takes a while to warm up to Rumi; after all she swore an oath to protect Zoey with her life. And this silversmith is clearly hiding something behind those cute, wide eyes of hers.
But Zoey seems infatuated with her despite Mira’s skepticism, so she has to figure out how to make this work.
Even when said silversmith turns into a tall, burly woman with horns and a tail.
It’s a good thing Mira knows how to sew.
~
Plus some of my favorite parts, Zoey’s expressions especially haha

MAWS AU-Mira Lane
The worms keep worming and my wrist is the victim, but I can shout a little now about Mira in the Superwoman setting >:D

It is she! (Ok look, I love a well-written Lois and I love Mira, so I’ve got so much unnecessary information thought out)
Part of the Super!Rumi AU — (First Post)
For quick reference:
Rumi=Clark Zoey=Jimmy Mira=Lois
Polytrix endgame
_Mira Lane-Hong_
I’ve had so many rogue trains of thought hijacking my brain about this au, so I apologize for the excess.
Also, If anyone has their own interpretations or takes I would LOVE to hear them. I love reading people's headcanons on characters OwO
Mira’s family name is Lane, but she goes by her mom’s maiden name, Hong, when able to (idk if Mira had a canonical surname, so I based it off her speaking VA’s, same with Zoey)
I mentioned in the Patching Up of how Mira’s childhood was—For people who’ve seen MAWS, you know what her dad was prepping her for and who her dad is. A take on it that I enjoy is that Mira’s dad raised her to survive the apocalypse through survival training and desensitization. It was not good! Basically raising her with the SEAL training manual instead of like, affection
Mira didn’t realize this wasn’t normal until she was around 11-12, she’d mentioned the contents of a weeks long trip to a friend—her dad got reassigned soon after and they moved away from that friend
Oh right, if it wasn’t clear, Mira’s a military brat! She moved around constantly in her childhood, and isolated herself after her mom passed away from cancer. Honestly she’s extremely well-adjusted for everything she went through as a kid.
Left home around 17, lived out of her car to finish high school off and earned a degree in journalism in uni. Extremely, extremely dedicated reporter in the making, she will win so many Pulitzers in the future and make people (Lex Luthor) quake with nerves at having to be interviewed by her.
At 23 she’s been an intern at the Daily Planet for over a year and she’s tentatively letting her dad get in contact with her again—Mira’s letting him have a chance because despite everything, she still feels like she has something to prove and when he’s around she kinda shrinks.
Hates hospitals—conveniently, she knows how to properly clean and stitch her own wounds to avoid hospitals (this is not smart)
Ok, throwing more less narrative important headcanons into the mix
Wild pain tolerance, she went on a trip to Gotham with some coworkers once and they got mugged—Mira got stabbed and was so nonplussed the muggers got concerned
Excellent poker-face, (it's probably from all the horrors) she can be in the middle of a breakdown internally, on the outside she's casually sipping her coffee looking unbothered.
Calls Rumi "Smallville" cause that's just classic Lois & Clark, and calls Zoey "Snapper" because she loves turtles and snaps pictures
She! Cannot! Spell! This girl has dyslexia and writes so fast that she breaks spell-checking software! She is an amazing journalist, she just gets some proofreading help from Rumi and Zoey—or dictates for Zoey to type
She needs the truth when it comes to people she cares about. Loved ones hiding things or lying leads everything back to her father and it becomes an extreme almost compulsive need to push and know what's really going on.
Keeps up with exercising with kick-boxing, sparring, jogging.
Extremely passionate about uncovering corruption and lies, both on an objective level and a personal level; also fun-fact this laptop is based off canon Lois Lane material!

Chronic caffeine consumption to keep on the beat & Chronic pen chewer when she’s thinking, if there is a pen near her, it is in danger
Loves soft things, cozy blankets? Fuck yeah. Plushies? Oh hell yeah. Sweaters and Knit-wear? Half her wardrobe.
Will never admit it aloud, but really loves that both Rumi and Zoey can pick her up. She is very tall, it’s a bit novel that her partners can do that. It makes her feel safe and that she’s someone worth protecting.
Adding onto that, after certain MAWS events, she either needs to be the little spoon or HAS to be holding both her girls.
Didn’t mention it in the initial post, gotta go back and add more head canon, but Kryptonian’s 100% purr and can drop down into infrasound. Mira finds it extremely adorable and soothing, and the deep tones hot. (Fun overlap, so many people look at Clark and go, yes he needs uncanny traits, we honor both fandoms here uwu)
Extremely good at budgeting, going from a pretty well-off living situation to living mostly out of her car—She volunteers at least a full day 2x a month to helping emancipated teenagers adjust.
Adores listening to Zoey yap about assorted conspiracy or marine wildlife, she’ll sometimes rest her head on Zoey’s chest while she lectures to feel the vibrations of her voice. Before knowing her, Mira would walk through Metropolis, not letting her surroundings distract her. After, she'll realize she's started to notice and look out for specific bird species she spots because Zoey's told her about them.
Loves seeing Rumi light up in her subtler way when she starts talking about her plants or proper agricultural practices and animal husbandry in the farming industry. She got bouquets for her girls on their first date and quickly figured out that living plants are much better gifts for Rumi.
Look, it’s just full lovergirl-coded Mira Lane in this household. She will do whatever her girls ask of her (except stopping the pick-pocketing of wardens keycards or sleeping at decent, consistent hours)

Adding a lil bit of the Superman movie flavor of Lois where she’s a bit feral-cat coded, gotta coax her into accepting the affection. She didn't really realize that she felt so lonely before meeting Zoey and Rumi.
If she latches onto a story, you better believe she’s not letting go or giving in. She will break into secure military complexes and jump out of moving vans in order to get the story. If there’s ever a thought of Mira (Lois Lane) wouldn’t do [insert insane thing here] you are wrong! She is unhinged! Rumi and Zoey are just so, so, so down bad for her specific brand of crazy.
She is not impulsive—Mira will consider all her possible options and ACTIVELY choose the most insane one, and she’s usually justified by the narrative in doing so! (One of her partners being Superwoman 100% further enables this behavior)
Absolutely does not care if her girlfriend is Superwoman or not, she will be throwing herself into the fray. Has a really hard time seeing Rumi confront antagonists that she can't do anything against. (Also gets so frustrated at Rumi not knowing even the most basic combat forms: cue tension filled sparring with both her girls)
Always puts herself between Zoey and Rumi and the roads. Or as a barrier between people on buses, trains, etc.
Can cook extremely well, actively chooses to live off granola bars and instant ramen for the speed and convenience.
If you've made it this far, thank you for indulging my Mira = Lois Lane brainrot UwU. I don't really feel like writing out characterization is a strength, or even a neutral skill, of mine, so I hope this feels in line with a Mira living in the setting and being the Lois Lane equivalent.
I have so many thoughts still, MAWS is just such a charming setting and I love putting the kpdh cast in there. But like I mentioned up top! Feel free to take your own spin on this au! That's part of the fun of sharing it, there's no wrong way to do it ^w^ (I feel really self-conscious about sharing this stuff but seeing people interacting with it makes me excited to keep making it <3)

Au where the girls already knew Rumi was a demon, so when the take down scene happens, they literally just tackle the demons off the stage.
Cue everyone being confused, especially the fans, ‘cause why did Mira and Zoey start bullying Rumi on stage? then five seconds later, another Zoemira jumped on stage and starts beating the crap out the first set.
Bobby hella confused, Rumi is trying not to cry, because she almost thought her girls hated her, and Zoemira just completely seeing red

God, just imagine Celine raising Rumi, terrified that she's going to lose control. Celine who doesn't use a honmoon weapon anymore and can't kill a demon. Rumi getting older and stronger. Celine *training* Rumi to be a killer, all while knowing that could turn around and be her doom. Celine who won't kill her in the end because she does love her, even if she can't love all of her.

I know yoy don’t enjoy individual pairings much, but I can’t help but noticed how layered you make Tae-hee and Celine’s relationship.
First they briefly dated prior to their debut then they got into fwb relationship with Mi-yeong, which probably had their separate feelings that they tried denying. It’s all well, until Mi-yeong drifts away and then dies with her lover, and all that’s left is her daughter. Then they separate due to grief. Next they become strangers due to their time apart and they slowly reconnect. Finally, after reconnecting and then falling back in love again.
I don’t know if it rude to ask for some headcanons for this very layered onion of a relationship between these two. I just think of the details of this onion and I want to hear more because it’s so fascinating how you built this.
First of all !!!!!! Hi hello!!! I never expected anyone to really notice how much I put into Celine and Tae-hee's dynamic when I know people are mostly here for polytrix and doomed yuri Celine and Mi-yeong
Second of all, it's not rude to ask to hear more for a pairing rather than a polyship! While it's no secrets I do adore poly, I dont know why, its just that I see these people with so much love to give and so many people to give to and think "why can't they?" but I also hold love for regular otps, too. I know you asked for headcanons, and I will make a headcanon post later! But for now, I'm gonna yap about them and go insane, sorry in advance

How (not) to get a girlfriend: Guide by Celine Song and Tae-hee Kim
Picture this its the year is 1994, we have unapologetically queer Tae-hee and repressed, closested Celine.
Tae-hee was found by Jin(their mentor) after getting disowned for coming out to her parents, parents she felt safe coming out to because they were very liberal for the time... but not liberal enough. So she roamed the streets and stayed as safe as she could for a scrawny teenage girl with no protection in the 90s, the reason she first summoned her weapon was to defend herself not from demons but from men who wanted more than her wallet. Their mentor was in the area when she felt the Honmoon choose Tae-hee luckily, able to help her before she got hurt(physically) or killed those men. She's hurting, bad, and refuses to let it show. Hiding behind antics and misbehavior.
Celine is a rich girl who just moved to Korea from France after her father bought out a business and expanded his reach and established himself as a tech tycoon. Her parents have a vision for her, trophy daughter who does enough to pristine and impressive but not enough to feel threatening. Quiet and unobtrusive she is supposed to be, until one night at a party where she's little more than an accessory...she sees them, and then she sees blue.
The Honmoon comes alive around her, and did she accidentally take a psychedelic? Why is she so drawn to this girl with unruly hair(hasn't she ever been told to tame her curls?) and is definitely too loud for a child, a girl, a girl child.
Jin and Tae-hee notice Celine almost immediately, feeling the Honmoon's reaction and respond promptly.
The loud girl and her bored keeper look back at her, and suddenly Celine is embarrassed. It is rude to stare, and she's just been caught doing just that. Celine adverts her gaze, and pretends to be doing something by doing nothing, it's what she usually does at these parties after all. Why are there heels coming her way? Oh god there's heels coming their way, Celine is never in the mood for small talk. She closes her eyes and prays that these people have no interest in her and want to speak with Mother and Father.
The universe hates Celine, and the blue is even brighter in her vision right behind her eyes. When she opens them, the loud girl is looking her up and down. She tries to subtly take a deep breath. What this stranger thinks doesn't matter, her behavior indicates she wouldn't know etiquette if a book on it hit her in the face. Apparently she likes what she finds because grins and grabs her the wrist, whisking her away.
Celine throws a panicked look behind her, her parents are too busy chatting up this miscreants keeper, the miscreants keeper is not good at her job. The miscreants chuckles the whole time.
This girl is usually strong and Celine isn't supposed to cause scenes, so she can't fight back, as a result, they end up on a balcony alone together.
Once they arrive at their destination, the girl finally releases Celine, turning to her with the stupidest smile she has ever seen paired with eyes just a shade darker than Celine's own, its unfair how much nicer that makes them look as they catch the moonlight. This girl is annoying.
"My name is Tae-hee Kim, call me Kimmy, it would so make my parents mad if they were here to hear it, so I want you too," that's absurd, and improper. They just met, a nickname is far too familiar let alone that would anger Kimm- Tae-hee's parents. Why would this girl want that? She makes no sense, Celine decides she hates that. Things are supposed to make sense.
With a undignified huff, but the girl is grating so Celine gives herself a pass, she says "Celine Song, no nicknames." Tae-hee's smile gets wider at that and Celine now feels like she's made a terrible mistakes.
The miscreant gasps dramatically, "No nicknames at all!? You've never had a nickname?" Well, Celine hasn't. Occasionally, mother will call her Belle when she's sick, and sometimes she does it when Celine needs encouragement to do well, but those times are few between... that wasn't the point. Tae-hee is deliberately twisting her words, annoying.
"No, that won't do, that won't do at all," she leans on the balcony on the balcony railroad, theatrically contemplating before snapping her fingers. Celine half expected the clown to shout 'Eureka!' with it. The girl turns to Celine, pointing "I'm gonna call you CeCe." Her grin turns into a smirk. Like she knows she's pushing her buttons, but she can't, Celine is a lady, always composed. There is no way this scoundrel can read her, she seems like a nitwit. Celine refuses to let the girl twist any more words of hers. She shakes her head.
The girl throws her head back with a laugh, "I know! I know! It's dumb but it's cute, c'mon let me try it out, pretty please, CeCe? You have to because I said please." Two things Celine thinks in that moment. 'That's not how that works' and 'she talks too much' ...Celine says they wrong one outloud. Her eyes widen as soon as she hears the words leave her lips.
Tae-hee stops, she's quiet, finally(it sounds wrong, her voice was made for running 100 miles per hour), and stares directly at Celine. She opens her mouth again, after a moment, "Do I talk too much, or are you used to silence?"
Celine is at a loss for words. She is quiet, but that is a choice, one made by her or for her, she doesn't know, but her quiet is a choice. She has much to say, be it to the open air, or her father when he gets me, or when parents try setting up their sons with her and Celine has to hold herself back from screaming something she herself refuses to name for it's danger.
Celine Song, has a lot of words, most unspoken.
Tonight, Celine Song, is at a loss for words.
Tae-hee Kim is annoying.
And that's how they meet! Perfect Princess and Rebel dynamic. Celine who knows she's gay and very much in denial, has a crush she gaslights herself into believing is finding Tae-hee irritating. While they were on the balcony, their mentor was with Celine's parents where they had a dick measuring contest via "how many 0's are behind the first number in your bank account" and their Mentor won. After that, she was able to convince them to let Celine train as an idol under her.
Celine, of course, is a bit baffled on how she did it, considering her parents hate when she takes up space and simultaneously annoyed that no one thought to inform her of this until much later.
Throughout the months of being a duo, Celine and Tae-hee's dynamic is very much Orange Cat harassing a German Shepherd. Celine eventually softens, and Tae-hee eases up on pushing her buttons. Little bit before Mi-yeong comes into the picture, they're rough around the edges, but the edges are blunt, pokey, but won't hurt you.
Well, flash forward a 1.5 years, Mi-yeong is there, they debut in a few months, and Celine and Tae-hee are dating.
They're all working on the songs for their debut Album, they need to be big, they need to succeed, leading to long days in here, the studio. It's just the three of them. They can work without the prodding of eyes, and they can freely speak without it being a markdown in their monthly evaluations. Celine likes the late nights, they're why Celine can endure their oppressive company and overbearing mentor.
"Hee~ Hee~" Mi-yeong's voice travels through the air of the studio, and Tae groans. She grabs a pillow, presses her face into it, groans again, and then tosses it a Mi-yeong. Mi-yeong only cackles.
Celine hides a smirk by putting the tip of her pen in her mouth. Ever since Mi-yeong discovered Tae-hee hates Micheal Jackson, she's been calling Tae-hee by a fun new nickname. Fun for Mi-yeong to say, fun for Celine to pretend not to laugh at, not so fun for Tae-hee. It's Karma for all the awful nicknames and petnames she's tried on Celine.
Mi-yeong fake pouts, "Hee~ Hee~ it's rude to ignore people, you're making me sad, I'm gonna cry," it's said comically unconvincingly, almost deadpan.
Tae-hee finally sits up, finally leaving her sprawled position, leveling Mi-yeong with a glare, "sob."
Celine giggles into her hand. Both Mi-yeong and Tae-hee look like they've won the lottery when she does.
"You know...Tae, Yeong has a point, you shouldn't ignore her..." it's childish, Celine probably shouldn't encourage them like this. They're supposed to be working.
Celine can't bring herself to care, late nights in the studio are what make it all worth it.
Tae-hee gasps like Celine just said she eats babies for breakfast. She wipes a fake tear, "betrayed, heartbroken, my own girlfriend, taking that evil witches side!"
Celine rolls her eyes and gets up from her chair, blanket slipping off onto the floor. She slots down into Tae-hee's lap. She sets her notebook and pen onto the cushions next to them and straddles Tae-hee. "Poor baby, let me kiss it better?" Tae-hee's eyes widen and her face flushes. It's rare that Celine flusters her and not the other way around. Her smirk only makes the girl underneath redder. She swiftly nods and Celine slowly leans in stopped just before Tae-hee's mouth.
Tae-hee gets freaked out by intimacy sometimes, she never speaks in detail about what happened before getting taken in by Jin, Celine knows enough to understand. Every action Celine starts, Tae-hee finishes on her own accord. Their lips meet, and they both smile into it. Smiling should be awkward, it makes the kiss less of a kiss and more of a face touching, but Celine thinks that smiling makes it better.
When they pull apart there's a gag behind Celine. She doesn't have to look to know it's Mi-yeong pretending to vomit. "Right infront of the maknae? I'm basically a baby. You're kissing in front of a baby, you degenerates!"
For all her talk about hating when the two of them are intimate, she always let's the moment happen before she gets melodramatic about it
Tae-hee is talking about something, admittedly she's less focused on her girl's words and more on her. The way her afro bounces with her, the flow of her hands as they move with her words, the grin thats etched into her face.
For all her bluster, Tae-hee isn't very impulsive. She plays it off like she is. But she isn't. She isn't chaotic, she's almost more calculated than Celine herself. That's why the night they met still bothers Celine to this day.
Why did Tae-hee act the why she did? What was the move? What is Celine not seeing? What Celine is seeing is Tae-hee stopped talking to look at her. Her smile is soft, a smile different from the wolfish grin she wore like armor that night.
"You weren't listening, were you, belle?" Tae-hee has taken to calling her that, her pronunciation is a little off, but it warms Celine anyway. Ever since Celine confessed how her mother called her that as a child, how as she grew out of it, the word was reserved for sick days or the rare occasion when Celine messed up and she'd say "You'll do better next time, won't you belle?" in a voice sweet, with a hand too heavy on Celine's cheek. When Celine did especially well, she used it then too, it sounded like 'I love you' back then, Tae-hee said it wasn't. She only held her tighter and whispered "I love you, belle" when Celine confessed that she wished she heard it more.
Celine felt a tap on her forehead and only then realized she wasn't looking at anything in Tae-hee's room, just her own thoughts. She blinked and focused her eyes on Tae-hee's face. She looked concerned, that's odd. "It's a lost in thought day, hm?" She asks the question like there's more weight to it than asking if Celine is distracted, but she supposes, yeah, she is lost in thought. As she nods, her gaze slips past Tae-hee and her vision blurs over, unable to find something to look at.
Celine feels another tap on her forehead, "Whatcha thinking about?" A lot, Celine wants to say. She maybe wants to say nothing.
"You." Her voice is a little hoarse and her throat feels rough, Celine then realizes she hasn't spoken in hours. She'd say more but realizes she's forgotten most of it already, she only remembers it was about her girl. Tae-hee reaches out, grabbing Celine's wrist, pulling them both into a laying down position on the bed. The hand on her wrist reminds her. "I was thinking about you and... the night we met," Celine adds.
Tae-hee traces her thumb over Celine's wrist, she hasn't let go, Celine distantly remembers its the same one from that night, too. Tae-hee hums an encouragement to keep going. It reminds her of the minutes Tae-hee spent looking at Celine after her question that night. "Why did you take me to the balcony? Why didn't we stay with Jin and my parents?" She never thought she'd actually ask the question.
Tae-hee doesn’t respond for a moment, her thumb stills, and Celine can see her thinking. Her calculated girl, anything but impulsive, Mi-yeong is the impulsive one. Tae reaches a hand up and brush part of Celine's hair behind her ear.
Tae-hee puts back on her smile, the kind she wears, not feels. "You looked two seconds from exploding, I, like a proper Knight in Shining Armor, saved you by getting you fresh air!" She's watering it down. It's the truth, but not all of it. That's okay, Celine can accept that.
"My hero," she teases weakly, Celine says it like a joke, but she means it. Tae presses a kiss to Celine's nose, "I will always come save you, my lady.." it's the kind of thing that she'd normally say with bravdo, a joke, make a fool of herself, but the way she says it here feels soft and genuine. Celine smiles and huffs a light laugh. The tension in the body holding her releases, Celine feels bad she didn't notice it before.
Wow so cute...they're so in love... would be a shame if something bad happened...
"I'm breaking up with you."
The fall of Tae-hee's face makes Celine remember how rare it is for Tae-hee to not be smiling. Celine feels like she's being crushed. The weight on her chest since that dinner with her parents hasn't lessened one bit.
Tae-hee sits up straight, eyes darting over Celine's face. She just..stares, no comments, no questions as to why. Tae-hee's room is usually warm, mostly because the other girl is typically holding Celine.
Right now she feels like she's burning.
The other girls mouth opens and closes. Words finally leave her, "why?" Her voice cracks and it's oh so wrong and for a moment all she can think is
I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm-
"Did...did I do something?" Oh god Tae-hee's voice is so small, and it hurts, it hurts Celine more than she will ever know.
Celine takes a deep breath, steeling herself, "No, I'm just....not queer. I had a phase. I'm sorry my confusion has to hurt you." Celine tries to turn tail and run, Tae-hee's hand around her wrist stops her. When she takes Celine's wrist into her hand, it feels wrong. She's supposed to take Celine somewhere where everything feels better, not lock her down in a place where everything feels bad.
When Celine turns around, the other girl looks pissed. That's better, she should be mad at Celine for being cold and cruel, not heartbroken over her. "There's no such thing as a phase! You don't become gay overnight and you don't stop being gay overnight!" She's yelling, and Celine hates it, but she deserves it.
She yanks her arm, freeing herself from the taller girls hold. She clenches her jaw, blinks too long, and delivers the final blow. "Don't be mad at me because I'm not a dyke," she hisses, and her girl(not your girl you just lost that, you ruined it, you ruined it Celine, you have no one) looks like she's been hit. She uses the suprise to flee the room.
When she closes the door behind her Mi-yeong is standing by it. She looks, confused and worried. Hopefully the worry is for Tae-hee.
The universe hates Celine.
"Are you...okay?" Mi-yeong asks, hesitant like she thinks Celine is going to call her a slur too. Maybe she will, if Celine thinks it's necessary. She's clearly not above it.
Celine just nods and books it to her own room. Mi-yeong doesn't take the hint, following after her. Even into her room, her room, which she is sure she shut behind her. Celine would scold her about boundaries later. She likes it would fall flat as she's curled in bed.
She looks up from her lap at Mi-yeong. She is just standing just outside her room in the doorway, arms crosses. "That's was cruel, you were cruel." Celine looks back down, 'know, I'm sorry' she want to say. Instead what comes out is- "Get out of my room if you're going to insult me."
Celine isn't looking, but she can her the sound of Mi-yeong's jeans move, the other girl has terrible habit of walking with her legs too close together, and the click of her door. "I technically wasn't in your room, but if I'm allowed in as long as I don't insult you...don't mind if I do," Celine feels the dip of her bed as Mi-yeong sits, she curls herself in tighter.
"Celine, look at me," Celine decidedly doesn't. "Please?" Celine shuts her eyes and buries her head in the arms that are on her knees.
She huffs, why won't she give up. Surely Tae-hee, the one who got broken up with needs the comforting. "Get out, Mi-yeong," She spit out. She feels her breath hit her back, bouncing off her limbs, it's too hot.
Mi-yeong sighs, "Work with me, you can't just keep going 'get out' because I'm not leaving. Say something?" a muffled 'something' escapes her lips. "Okay....malicious compliance, I can respect that. What I can't respect is breaking up with our best friend for no reason."
Celine's head whips up, "It wasn't for no-!" When Celine meets Mi-yeong's face, she's smirking like she won something. Mi-yeong grabs her face before she can tuck it back into her body, "You're not hiding from this. What happened? Why did you do it?" Mi-yeong's hands remind her of her mother's in this moment. Heavily resting on her face as she makes Celine promise to do better, disappointment radiating off her. This reminder is violent and unwelcome. She doesn't want to think of her family.
Celine feels like death incarnate. How is it possible to feel so empty and heavy at the same time? She can't bear looking at anyone right now. "Celine, talk to me, please," Mi-yeong is begging, and her voice sounds eerily similar to how Tae-hee's did as she asked what's wrong.
She bites her lip, hard as she can, and takes a deep breath. "My cousin died, he, he was part of the family in France..." Celine could feel herself start to shake, "He didn't die, yeong, he was murdered...he was..." Celine feels tears and wills them not fall.
"He just was on a walk with his boyfriend...and they, he..." Celine's cousin, braver than Celine ever could be. He was honest about himself to everyone. It was what Celine liked about him, it was what got him killed. "Father said-" Celine's voice broke, her breath hitched, "Father said we're not attending the funeral...that...that the plane tickets aren't worth it and that people like him didn't deserve to be laid to peaceful rest.."
Celine didn't realize she was properly crying until Mi-yeong's hands moved position on her face to wipe her tears, "Oh.. Okay," Mi-yeong finally breathed out. Pulling out of Mi-yeong's touch, she wiped her own tears and turned deathly serious, "You can't tell her."
"Okay."
"Mi-yeong, you can't tell her."
"I won't."
"Mi-yeong I mean it, you can't tell her."
"I won't tell her."
Celine clenched her jaw. Everything is too much right now. She can't- she needs- "You. Can't. Tell. Her." Every word is punctuated with a hit to the thigh, the pain blooming grounds her her, the ache in her leg takes from that of her chest. Before she can hit herself again, someone catches her hand. Oh right, Mi-yeong.
Mi-yeong grabs her hand and gently unfurls it, maneuvering to interlock their pinkies. "I won't tell her, pinkie promise. I won't tell her, okay?" She looks as Celine expectant, Celine doesn't know what she wants so she just nods, it seems good enough for the other. She leans down and kisses her thumb, gestures for Celine to follow. When Celine does, she pulls her head away and softly says, "Now lock it in." She brings her thumb to meet hers, it takes a little too long for Celine to realize. Their thumbs meet, for a moment they stay like that. Mi-yeong eventually untangles their hands and sets Celine's down gently on bed.
"That was stupid," Celine whispers, eyes watching Mi-yeong get up. Celine would whine if she was any less tired and any less aware. Mi-yeong lazily makes her way to the door before turning around with a smile, "maybe, but it made you feel better, so in my mind...it can't be that stupid." She leaves the room, no doubt to finally do what she should have to begin with, check on Tae-hee.
Celine loves Mi-yeong,
Celine loves Tae-hee,
Celine will not deserve peaceful rest when she dies.
So yeah....
context you may need or be confused about time!
Yes they all live together, yes they are minors here. Jin has full guardianship over Tae-hee and Mi-yeong, whereas Celine spends a week with her family every two weeks.
That's how Celine found out her cousin, as her family got the the news the last day of Celine's week with them and this is like fresh fresh wounds because Celine breaks up with Tae-hee the day she gets back.
Tae-hee is out but not out if that makes sense? Once she debut, the world will think she's straight for marketability, but everyone around her knows. Celine isn't out, Tae-hee and Mi-yeong were the only two who know. Tae-hee and Celine's relationship was very much a secret.
After the breakup, things are....tense. Celine and Tae-hee get into fights for months, most of it is Tae-hee getting pissed off easy at Celine(unresolved anger and zero closure from the break up) and Celine taking it because she decides she deserves it. Sometimes, Celine will be an active participant in the fight but rarely.
Mi-yeong is in a really awkward position right now, trying to support both them and keep the truth safe with her silently praying Celine decides to tell her.
It isn't until AFTER debut that things are fine again
Unfortunately, these three girls are idiots and decide to become friends with benefits after watching a poorly executed lesbian threesome from a cheap movie Mi-yeong rented on a whim because it "looked bad, I wanna watch it"
This unearths feelings that were very buried, and they obviously decide that...no, they dont need to talk about it.
When Mi-yeong meets and starts seeing Ji-ho, distancing herself from the two of them, they naturally get closer. They channel what the feel for Mi-yeong on top of what they feel for each other. Sometimes they both call the other Mi-yeong while fucking...it's incredibly unhealthy for both of them, but oh well.
They're pretty much never seen apart as the months go on, as they lose Mi-yeong more and more.
Then Mi-yeong confesses to being pregnant, they meet Ji-ho(not knowing he's a demon) and things start looking up.
The trio is repairing their bond, Ji-ho is a good guy so even if they secretly wish they were him, they aren't going to condemn him. The four of them start building the dream house that Mi-yeong, Celine, and Tae-hee came up with as teenagers, with the addition of a few rooms and a nursery for Rumi.
(No, their intention to all share one room is not indicative of being more than friends)
Rumi is born, with strange purple hair and all. Doctors dont have an explanation, they don't need one because she's Mi-yeong's baby, even if she comes with quirks.
Ji-ho starts acting strange, Mi-yeong insists everything's fine. Honestly they begin to wonder if he's hurting Mi-yeong(he would never.)
It all really goes wrong when
Celine opens the door to her apartment to see pink smoke dissipating into the air and a.... demon? holding a baby? Celine summons her swords as soon as it registers.
"Wait, please, Celine, it's Ji-ho, The baby is Rumi, look! There's no time to explain, I have to get back to Mi-yeong. She's alone right now, and I have to get back and help her," The way the demon speaks is rushed and urgent. It suddenly occurs to her that she's never seen the Ji-ho's skin out of his hands, face, and neck. Realizes how on edge he gets when they train with their weapons.
Celine believes it. She doesn't want to, but when the baby is shoved into her arms, she knows. It's Rumi, for real, not a demon disguising herself as Rumi. It should be a relief, but than that means Mi-yeong is in danger. "Celine, I know what you're thinking, but you and Tae-hee have to keep Rumi safe. Please keep Rumi safe? Mimi and I will come back for her in the morning!" He borderline yells it, just barely keeping the volume acceptable for the hour, Celine gets it, she feels like shouting, too.
Only once Celine nods does he dissappear into a cloud of pink.
Rumi is fussy, not screaming or loud, just obviously uncomfortable. Maybe she misses her parents already, maybe she can sense that something is deeply wrong like Celine can, maybe Celine just isn't good with babies.
She can't wake Tae-hee, she'd freak out, she'd freak out and go find Ji-ho and Mi-yeong and Celine would lose her too.
She can do this.
She feels Mi-yeong's death deep in her soul. She feels the loss of connection.
She can't do this.
They stage the crime scene themselves. Writing in Mi-yeong's blood on the walls, coating a knife in her blood. They write a note, sending the police on a wild goose chase. They both throw up when they're done.
Rumi's father isn't known to the world. They call Jin for the first time in years to get her to help find a body to pretend is his.
Tae-hee still doesn't know the truth about him, Celine doesn't tell, and Tae-hee is too grief stricken to care
To the world, Ryu Mi-yeong was murdered by a fan, angry she had a child with someone else. Killing both husband and wife, infant daughter is spared due to being at friend's house.
Tae-hee leaves shortly after the Funeral.
Celine finds her in the nursery, of the house, their dream house. It feels more like a nightmare now. It's sick how the contractor finished days after they lay Mi-yeong to rest.
The nurseries' walls are surgical white, uncomfortable and oppressive, no place for a baby. They never got to finish arguing with Mi-yeong over what color to paint it.
Tae-hee is surrounded by cardboard boxes, sitting in a lone rocking chair, and a tootbox. She's looking at seemingly nothing. It's only when Celine knocks that she realizes someone else is there. "I tri- I tried putting it together...for Rumi, I only got as far as this, chair. I was building it and-" she takes a deep breath and looks at Celine. Her eye bags are dark and looming. Tae-hee hasn't slept since her death.
She blames herself for not being awake. Celine blames herself for being awake
"Celine, I can't do this, I can't be here, I barely even be in the country, and I definitely can't be around..." she gestures to Rumi, anger flares up in Celine. She tenses are glares, "You're seriously using a baby as an excuse to run away? That's pathetic." It's cruel, but cruelty and love seem to be the same with them sometimes.
With a long suffering sigh, "we can still talk, we will still talk! I'll call, you'll call, we'll still have each other!" She reaches for Celine, but she steps back.
Her grip on Rumi tightens, partly protective, partly to ground herself. "Don't bother, Tae-hee. Leave, you're an adult, if you want to you can, but just know... if do, don't bother calling."
And just like that... they're no contact for years. They still work together quietly.
Tae-hee debuts as a solo artist, uphold the honmoon until Huntr/x debuts, Celine handles breaches.
They stalk each other online, following every move of the other they can. Tae-hee also follows Huntr/x, watching Rumi from afar.
Well imagine her watching the idol awards and after....
Celine's phone is ringing, she hopes it's Rumi. Rumi who asked to die. Rumi she promised to protect. Rumi who she hurt in all her attempts to keep her safe.
The caller ID is 'kimmy' and her heart stops. She picks up
"Hello?"
"Your numbers the same.."
Her breath hitches, she's heard Tae-hee's voice over the years. She never expected to hear it speaking to her again, "So is yours."
"You didn't block me"
Celine didn't. She could never bring herself to. Finger always stubbornly refusing to press the button. "I didn't." When Tae-hee doesn't respond, Celine admits she panics a bit.
"Why does Rumi have patterns?"
Reconciliation arc! They meet and talk about truth, Celine finally shares all the secrets she's kept. Tae-hee is reasonably angry, but she refuses to walk away again.
Something something absence makes the hearts heart grow fonder something something
They get to know each other again, and eventually start seeing each other. I won't say fall in love again because they never fell out of it. They're at a point in their lives where they can healthily be there and present, and it works out in the end.
Rumi had beef with Tae-hee for a bit after HER reconnection with Celine, simply because she is protective everyone she loves. It works out because Celine has beef with one of her lovers(Jinu) for a bit. Eventually it all works out and they're a happy family
Congratulations on making it to the end of this post. If you did, you officially earned a gold star for your attention span

Okay so it's a popular fanon that all three girls are neurodivergent in some way shape or form, whether it's zoey with audhd, rumi with autism and ocd, or mira with autism and bpd, or all three are simultaneously rizzing eachother with their autism swags.
But consider: autistic celine. Like she isn't formally diagnosed and doesn't connect the dots that she might be autistic herself which then leads to rumi not being diagnosed until one day where mira and zoey are discussing their own diagnoses and they ask rumi about her diagnosis which then leads to the revelation that both celine and rumi are undiagnosed because celine thought that rumi's own experiences were totally normal. Like she's there seeing the routines and touch aversions and other bits and is there going 'oh mood' and thinks that this is very normal human behaviour and isn't like an element of rumi's half demon heritage. Anyways both celine and rumi end up going off and get formally diagnosed and it ends with them setting up a lowball interview where they discuss their recent diagnosis and the funny story behind it with the intention to help in the destigmatisation of autism and mental disabilities. And it does help in that slow battle
