New Lps!!!

Two lps i got most frequently from a fellow collector/friend! The otter is a new gen 7 and the collie is an authentic #672! He also gave me the beds as well as some tiny accessories that are somewhere in the abyss where I currently store my lps!

I'm going on a week long trip in the near future and I'll be doing quite a lot of lps hunting whenever I get the chance. The area I'll be at has a lot of good places to look so I'm excited for that! This area is more rural so I'm hoping to score something good this time around. However I'm a lot more likely to find vintage sanrio! I'll happily post any cool 1990s-2010s finds.

I think I might've shared the wip for this sculpt but I did actually finish it! im trying to figure out ways to incorporate the bobble head mechanism into her if she was 3d printed, and once i do ill have a prototype printed!

first time lps posting

here's some in-progress shots of my ancient lps collection that i've been cleaning the storage gunk off of over the last week! i haven't seen most of them in almost a decade and it's been really nice to reconnect with my childhood special interest for wanting to put them in elaborate shelf setups and make my own props and backgrounds.

these pictures total at 78 standard figs + 7 paired minifigs and 3 playsets; the get better center, the fitness club, and the adoption center. i'd estimate that this is roughly half of my total collection in terms of all official pieces and sets. excited to find a good shelf for them 💝

I have a lot of issues with g7, but I think it’s important to remember that they’ve only been around for a year or so at this point and early g2 had an equally — if not harder — time finding their footing.

Nothing out of g7 has come remotely close to the horror of early g2’s poodles

We must not forget

you will neverrrrr catch me talking poorly about lps g7 flaws and all (and trust me i get it!) because i remember being in the trenches of girls calling Hasbro begging some poor receptionist to reinstate the Rightful Pets and the fact that I can go to a store and pick up an lps that bobbles is....phenomenal

there is something about LPS that just make them like. the perfect toy imo. I'm biased because I grew up with them and they were the only thing I was fixated on/interested in playing with for the first decade or so of my life but even now as an adult I find them so charming. The matte-ish finish, the colorful teals, yellows, greens and pink paints (for the colorful pets I could go onto a whole separate tangent on how beautifully made the neutral/natural colored pets are!) the expressiveness of each and every pet from the spaniels to the lizards to the hamsters. I really love and appreciate how they give the same attention to "cuter" animals (lambs, puppies, cats, bunnies) as they do to the fishes, snails, dragonflies, butterflies, snakes, and spiders. As I get older my favorite types of pet have largely been moved to the LPS snails, seahorses, butterflies, penguins, the colors and patterns I think they're just so wonderfully made, the scale is ideal for play and carrying around a friend-the accessories are detailed and so charmingly lps (lemonade in a dog bowl!? sunglasses with flower rims, etc) I just have a great affection for them :)
