In which I take the Conquest mod and head to Walden Pond, and proceed to build a log cabin out of actual logs (aka wood support columns) using Copypasta.  

I’ll be honest with you, building a symmetrical log A-frame roof without the assistance of snap points is kind of a drag.  But I’m having fun.

Adventures in the (Natural and Atmpospheric) Commonwealth.

NAC is a great little weather mod - literally.  It’s only about 16MB.  It doesn’t give you the same drama as Vivid Weathers or True Storms, but when you’re hurting for mod space on Xbox, it gives a LOT of bang for your mod space buck.  None of these screenshots were retouched, filtered, etc. - this is all NAC.

Q: What mods did you use?

A: A lot, so if you're curious about something specific, ask directly and I'll be able to tell you.

That being said, I can tell you two things right away: first, what mods I DIDN'T use.  I didn't use any Home Plate template, or other mods that alter the appearance or structure of Home Plate.  Everything you see, all the retexturing of the floors, walls, and ceilings, was done by me, in-game, using a placement and maniuplation mod called Copypasta.

Second, there are some mods that were absolutely essential to this build.  They are: - Scrap Fallout/Scrap That Settlement (let me rip up all the flooring and get all the crap off the walls) - Unrestricted Settlements (unlocks full build menu in Home Plate, and allowed me to build structural elements) - Workbench Anywhere (for the roof) - Copypasta (for...everything, kind of.  This one's really the ultimate necessity for this build.)

Q: Excuse me, but your workbench seems to be missing.

A: That's because I'm sneaky.  Around the 1:38 door you'll see a little area with two chairs and a bookcase.  The wall the bookcase is on is a facade, the bookcase functions as a door, and the workbench is behind it.  Several mods have hidden doors, but this one came from Do It Yourshelf.

Q: Did you really floor your patio with astroturf?

A: Well, I do live in a ballpark, so...yeah.

More custom furniture at Home Plate.

I’ve been going nuts building Home Plate courtesy of Unrestricted Settlements...and Copypasta.  Copypasta’s functions allowed me to reskin the cieling, walls, and ladder using workshop assets, and it also let me build a hydroponics bay out of shelving and pipe.  Can’t wait to be able to show off the whole build.
