There's an open pit in the middle of our office plan that drops down into a bunch of very sharp spikes that kill you instantly. This is bad. People keep falling in there and dying. Someone put a sign up, the other day, all bright yellow so you can't miss it, that says "Beware!!! Spikes!!!"
The office immediately split into two factions over it. One says that if anyone falls in the spike pit it's their own fault for being so stupid and not watching where they're walking, so we should remove the sign. The other says that the sign is an insult, there shouldn't be a spike pit in our office at all, and having the sign up like that is just normalising the existence of the spike pit, so we should remove the sign.
We ended up removing the sign. Probably for the better. Still... for a while there it looked like it might have worked...

A while back my pharmacist saw my deadname on my profile and accidentially called it out, he corrected and deleted my deadname from the system so only my preferred name shows up now. There was a crowd of people behind me, so as he hands over the pills he apologized, in equal tone and volume as when he called my deadname and lied saying it's been a long day and he didn't mean to call out -his own- name. I quietly told him it was fine and he didn't need to do that for my sake.
His response: "No, it's my name now."
I went to the pharmacist yesterday, his nametag is my deadname. He informed me he's immigrating and in the process he's changed his first name to my deadname to have an English sounding name. That's why he's now able to get a reprint of his nametag to be my deadname. And repeated, with the intense seriousness of someone who is going to die on this hill: "It's mine now. Not yours. I'm taking." His tone indicated that decision is final.
Bro literally deadnamed me once, and has committed to flat out stealing my deadname. It's his now. Legally. Officially. I over heard his co-workers call him by the name.

Also a pharmacy technician (at Walgreens), and if you're a Walgreens customer I'd definitely recommend walgreens.rxsense.com over Scriptcycle -- just tried three different drugs and Scriptcycle had a worse price at Walgreens on all of them (in one case it had $205 when RxSense had $32). But if you're willing to shop around and transfer pharmacies, Scriptcycle might be good (supposedly Scriptcycle's coupon for Discount Drug Mart gets that same drug down to $8).
Some more hyper-specific advice:
Paxlovid? Most people are eligible to get it free/cheap through the Paxcess program.
Brand name drug? Google "[name of drug] discount card" – most brand manufacturers offer discount programs (if you have insurance, these often can lower your co-pay).
Take an over-the-counter drug regularly? OTC drugs are sometimes way cheaper if you get your doctor to write you a prescription instead of just buying them from the store. Example: 90-count of cetirizine (generic Zyrtec) is $32.99 from the store, but $2.52 with an RxSense coupon. (**some caveats, see below fold)
Tretinoin with no insurance? Get the pharmacy to change it to the Retin-A brand and use GoodRx; it's like half the price (you might have to wait a day though -- many places don't stock it normally).
There's too many little things to list them all though; the best advice I can give is to befriend your local pharmacy tech and ask very very nicely if there's any way to get the price down. Sometimes we can't, but sometimes there might be a better price with just a minute or so of effort, so please just ask!
**This generally only applies if we use a generic manufacturer (e.g. Rugby, Major, Camber, etc) and NOT the Walgreens store brand. For some drugs (like cetirizine), we basically never use the store brand, but for others (especially vitamins), we often do. You can ask us to try switching manufacturers to see if it's cheaper (you may have to wait for us to order in that other manufacturer though).
Dudes healthcare is so fake. My ADHD meds are $940 without insurance. But they gave me a website of "coupons" which straight up looks like a scam website, and I got it today for $60! Just a coupon from a random website and it was $900 cheaper. America, I am confusion!! America explain!!
