best brownies in the known universe (at least, according to my grandma)

some year and a half ago when i was getting ready to move out i combed through all the family recipes that lay lost to time and one of the ones that i found was my grandmas brownie recipe. idk where she got it from (nor can i ask cause she has dementia) and its a printed out email she sent to my mom in june 2000. but by george these the best brownies i have ever tasted. would she be pleased that i am sharing this recipe with my vast following? absolutely.

YOU WILL NEED:

5 tablespoons butter (unsalted) 1 ounce unsweetened baking chocolate (or as much as your heart desires) 2/3 cup unsweetened good cocoa powder 1 cup sugar (white) (superfine preferred, normal works fine) 1 cup sifted white flour (can use gluten free) 1/2 teaspoon baking powder as much cinnamon as your heart desires (your heart needs to desire at least some cinnamon. its essential to the recipe) 3 egg whites 1 egg splash of vanilla extract (again, non negotiable step!)

preheat your oven to 325 degrees. grease a square baking pan (9x9 preferably).

in a small saucepan over medium heat melt the butter and baking chocolate. while that is melting, sift together the flour, baking powder and cinnamon into a small bowl. once the butter and chocolate is done melting add the cocoa powder and cook it together for 1 minute. add in the sugar and stir. it will get very thick. this is correct.

set that aside to cool. while thats cooling take a large bowl and put in your egg whites, egg and vanilla. beat it up with preferably a whisk but you can use a fork if youre fresh out of whisks. once the chocolate is cool enough to not scramble your eggs dump it in the eggs and mix it together. add the flour in gradually and keep mixing until its smooth and happy.

spread into your greased baking pan. put it in the oven for EXACLTLY 18 MINUTES. very crucial step. they will come out slightly under done. that is what we want. as they cool they will continue to cook in the pan. we dont want them to get hard and sad. they are not good when they are hard and sad. do not overbake them. you will be sad.

slice them up and as the official last step on the original recipe says: EAT ENJOY AND MAKE MORE! (theyre very good with mint chocolate chip ice cream)

Was talking to an old school friend yesterday and he was complaining like "Yeah, all the girls at my school were either bisexual or non-binary I swear".

And I looked at him and was like. "You do realise, good sir that if they are non-binary they are not a girl. Also so what if people are bi or use they/them how does that affect you?"

He blue screened for like a whole minute then came back and said "But there are only two genders in this world and that's the truth of it."

"Okay but how does using they/them for certain people affect you in any major way?"

"Well there are only two genders and also I won't call them what they want I'll call them what they look like."

Other guy: "Why don't you just use their name? That way it's a mid-point between the two."

"But then they would start complaining about misgendering their name and......"

I knew his mum btw and she was about the chillest person. She was pro-queer and pro-trans so idk how he got this fucked up. Probably Andrew tate ngl.

People hater. Seems perpetually done with everything and everyone. Specialises in dry remarks and diminishing enthusiasm. General mood killer. However, their outward projection of disdain and superiority is really a mask of their own feelings of inadequacy.

this is pretty great! Maybe for Hedari and Alyx, you could just have small mentions from the characters. And if their relationship is out to the others, you could have a scene where both of them step out of a room, hair ruffled and all that jazz, and then another character makes a joke! And of course you could end a scene with implications that they are going to do the do. Hope this helps!

G'day gremlins!! I'm probably going to only post these things once per week now because I'm literally not writing enough to post once per day anymore sadly. My spare time has disappeared :'(. Anyway, here's an excerpt from what I wrote this week (about 2k words):

"A thought occurred to them, and they peered at faer suspiciously. “It’s nothing to do with you, is it?”

Hedari had leant forward to rest faer elbows on the table, and was frowning thoughtfully at the wood grain. “Not directly, no,” fae said slowly. Alyx looked at faer, waiting for an elaboration. When it became cleared fae wasn’t going to any time soon, they prompted faer a bit. “How do you mean, ‘not directly’?”"

Hedari and Alyx!!! I like these two, though I'm still not sure how I'm going to be writing their relationship. QPR with sexual elements, except idk how I'm going to communicate that well because I don't like writing smut. I'll figure it out :).

So ngl I've been procrastinating a lot and I've seen a bunch of those likes motivation posts and stuff and even though my blog ain't that popular, thought I'd try. Pls help me @totally-peacock-i-swear

At 25 notes, I'll start completing my math homework the day it's assigned (we get one everyday but they're due on Wednesdays)

At 50 notes, I'll draw in my sketchbook at least once a week (rn it's like once a month)

At 100 notes, I'll start working with my watercolor pencils and charcoal pencils (mostly supplies I hardly use, especially paints)

At 200 notes, I'll experiment with different art styles (realism, minimal, etc)

At 500 notes, I'll clean my room.

At 1,000 notes, I'll finish reading The Blood of Olympus by Rick Riordan (I abandoned it like 4-5 years ago)

At 1,500 notes, I'll CLEAN my room (and maybe closet)

At 2,000 notes, I'll write to chapter 10 in my book (25 if this gets over 25,000 (get it, 25k for chapter 25))

At 5,000 notes, I'll read 10 pages+ of whatever book I'm reading before going to bed (instead of watching yt, idk why this isn't in here sooner but oh well)

At 10,000 notes, I'll clean my OLD room!! (Basically I just took what I wanted for my new room and left the other one as a wasteland)

At 15,000 notes, I'll start a YouTube channel for all the videos I've wanted to do (mostly gameplay or bloxburg building, even featuring my voice, idk I've just been thinking it'd be cool to do that, recently)

find the positives. i know the world sucks a lot but find the positives, be optimistic even about the little things. i found a video that was being optimistic and looking at all the ways the world has gotten better between the 1950s and today rather than the ways it's gotten suckier, and ngl i cried because it reminded me that not everything is bad and good things are happening even while bad things are happening. it's okay guys we can do this <33

THE OZONE LAYER IS HEALING ITSELF!!!!

So according to various sources, the ozone layer is healing itself slowly and will be almost/fully healed in anywhere from 40 to 100 years (apparently no-one's agreeing on the exact time frame). If you guys want to research more on this, please do because I haven't done much and this is by no means the full story. But, most sources I can find agree that it is healing itself and will continue to do so if we keep on this trajectory.
