He swallowed hard, shifting his crimson eyes towards Soubi quickly. But everyone told him he'd be alone. That's why he was loveless, right? So why did Soubi think so differently?

"Of course that's not what I want.. but.. I just don't understand.."

His voice faded to a whisper as the lids on his eyes fell closed. Ritsuka didn't even understand why he was alive, honestly.

(❥) Ritsuka blinked as he felt himself get lifted off the ground and thrown over someone’s shoulder. He looked behind him, seeing the stranger before the cat-like boy knitted his brows.

"H-Hey! What are you doing?"

Ritsuka struggled but it was no use for him. He had to give up.

The dark haired boy stared down at Lucas's hand before reaching out hesitantly and taking it. It hurt a bit from his new injury, but he pushed it aside and smiled, taking the blonde boys hand.

"I've.. missed you too. I've been okay.."

That was a lie.

"And you?"

"Hi Ritsuka" He smiled. "Want to go for a walk with me?"

Ritsuka looked over after hearing the small voice. He recognized it anywhere. It was Lucas. The cat ears on his head perked up, a small purring sound emitting from his throat as he smiled.

"Lucas.. What are you doing here? You’re not busy?"

Oh. Soubi caught him, the one thing he didn't want. His ears drooped sadly, and stayed silent for some time before speaking softly.

"No.. no, no one has to care for me. I'm not meant for anyone.. I'm supposed to be alone.. I can take care of myself."

Ritsuka looked over at Soubi as he grabbed his bag and a couple of belongings. His cheeks flushed a bit, but the younger turned his back to hide it.

"Thank you for caring.. but.. I don't want you to waste your money. It won't be long. But.. I think I have everything here.

He forced a smile, hoping that Soubi couldn't see through his lies.

Ritsuka blinked, staring at the girl for a moment. Oh. Was this her getaway spot that he stole? Looking down, the cat-like boy stepped aside off of the cardboard with an embarrassed blush on his cheeks.

"S-Sorry.."

He apologized full heartily as his ears lowered.

"Do you mind…" Onyx trailed off, standing over the other on the streets in the rain. "You’re standing in my bedroom." Yes. She was referring to the piece of now drenched cardboard, muddied by the other persons feet who stood on top of it trying to take coverage from the downpour.

"Hi Ritsuka" He smiled. "Want to go for a walk with me?"

Ritsuka watched as the stranger hesitated at his question. Maybe he shouldn't have asked, but he had to call him something, right?

"I-.. Sorry if I made you uncomfortable. He hesitated a moment, unsure of which name to use. Ritsuka. My name is Ritsuka."

(❥) It may not have been in the same ways, but the other was struggling at home as well. It seemed that lately, homes weren’t really considered “homes” anymore. He’d let the other change the subject rather happily. He wouldn’t want to be questioned about anything that...

(❥) His tail swayed back and forth as he watched the people pass by. Everyone was always so busy. Always somewhere to go. It saddened the dark haired boy slightly as he sat alone on the bench. Look at everyone. With people they love and making precious memories.. it must be nice. Ritsuka’s ears lowered with his head as he began tugging the sleeves of his sweater down to cover and bandages near his wrists.

"When will someone love me-"

Ritsuka stopped himself. He’d forgotten his name and himself. He could never be truly loved by anyone, that was a given.
