Nono I just finally got around to making another redesign of a PTT guest star, sorry folks!

If you remember, back in October I redesigned Madame Oink in the style of the rockstar era for Chucktober, and since then I’ve gotten a lot of requests to do another guest star! So here is the long awaited redesign of my fav guest star, Harmony Howlette! I think I’ve gotten even closer to nailing the rockstar style since October, I’m super happy with this :D

In this era, Harmony is a sheriff and is often hunting down Mike Wolf (does anyone remember him?). She is also a rodeo star! I think it would be super funny if she and rockstar Chuck still didn’t get along, we don’t get to see that side of rockstar Chuck much anymore (which sucks because it’s hilarious lol). Also Jasper totally still has a thing for her because I say so 😤

Hope you guys like this as much as Oink, I’ll def consider doing another if people like it!

Someone on YouTube made a beautiful analysis on the symbolism of the two roses Yum-Yum is holding when we first see her and I really wanna try and elaborate on that cause it was too good to just leave it there. Kind of a long post ahead, be warned!!

These are two special roses, as their colors aren't exactly common among flowers in nature. In fact, one is a blue rose and the other is a yellow rose. Even if we see it just for a second, the princess seems to be particularly fond of them, especially the blue rose. And maybe there is a deeper explanation for that.

The roses symbolize Tack and Yum-Yum respectively.

The colors yellow and blue are really dominant in this movie and they seem to surround Tack and Yum-Yum very often, even when they are together

(Yum-Yum is on the side of the orange wall while Tack is sitting in front of a window which gives away the light blue of the sky)

The yellow rose is Yum-Yum. She is strong and proud, intrepid and generous. She wears bright colors on her skin, such as orange, light purple and red and is heavily associated with light and brightness. The color yellow is a warm color which usually indicates joy, pride and alert. It's also very much assimilated with the Sun

The blue rose is Tack. He is shy and quiet yet intelligent and resourceful. His face is as pale and shaped as the Moon itself. The color blue is associated with melancholy, sadness but also calm and tranquility. Most importantly, it's the main color of the Night sky, mysterious yet it's the moment that allows the light to shine brighter.

The detail I really wanted to focus on was how the blue rose Yum-Yum is holding has small stars scattered all over its petals.

Where does Tack come from once he escapes prison and is finally able to reunite with the princess before leaving to find the witch?

From behind a blue curtain full of stars (in which he seems to blend in well enough)

Now that I've been drawing them a bit more, I wanted to take another shot at designing modern AU looks for Tack and Yumyum.

Below are some close-up shots so you can see the details a lil better, as well as a breakdown of sorts:

Idk why my brain saw Tack's look and defaulted to giving him somewhat of an DIY e-boy-adjacent look, but here we are. XD He likes finding holey or damaged garments at the thrift store and creates some almost frankensteinian looks with visible stitches and extra patches/pockets sewn on (both a stylistic choice and for convenience). Even though he favors blacks, whites, and greys, he'll occasionally allow little pops of color into his wardrobe, usually in the form of either patches Yumyum gifted him or goofy gumball machine accessories.

While Yumyum dressed more preppy/"safe" in middle/high school, she's been starting to experiment more with her look since meeting Tack. She's really into 70's-inspired aesthetics and goes googly-eyed for sheers, florals, and heart patterns. Her looks are always bright, feminine, and VERY colorful. She loves styling her hair and is the type to wake up hours before work/school just so that she has extra time to dedicate to her hair and makeup.
