Lucid Dreaming is fun, but it's physically, emotionally, and mentally intensive. I've seen many people on tiktok who are lucid dreamers start by sharing some of their experiences only to devolve into psychosis and the belief that they are "the chosen one" for the "ascension of the new dimension".
Reminder: YOUR DREAMS ARE A MIRROR
Just as Hindus will see Krishna, Christians will see Jesus, Agnostics will see their late family members, and Atheists will see nothing in Near Death Experiences, you will see whatever you believe is the truth in your dreams.
The 5D Spirituality believers will lucid dream about their beliefs. They'll wake up and further solidify their belief. This belief will be magnified in the next lucid dream (and so on) until all they trust to represent reality is their mind.
This is a feedback loop and can result in dream-related psychosis.
Look at the mirror, but do not mistake what you see for what is truly you.

Apologies to anyone that thought I'd actually do something with this blog like I said I would, and where I'm going with it now.
Tumblr media
Several times now I've on a whim started a blog, or made promise to resurrect one for fun yet it's always fallen through for various personal reasons I won't get into now. So, I'm giving up on any serious blogging anytime soon.
Instead I'll be trying to steadily transfer over to a more broad personal space to vent and shitpost and share into the void willy nilly, and give that a try. Forget about sleek aesthetics or professionalism or whatever tf I was hung up on before. I mean this is Tumblr afterall, not an opinion column on some respected journal or something. With that said, I'm not necessarily ready to turn this one into shitpost central either.
So I'll just make a side blog for my totally random musings and share any relevant ones over here. I'm not ready to abandon this blog concept just yet but it's certainly staying on a back burner for the foreseeable future. Heck let's be honest here, it's been stuck in the closet to collect dust.
That dust might be getting wiped off right now but I make no promises it won't go back right where it came from in no time. Apologies to anyone made curious by a premise I never fully followed up on, but unfortunately some things have just had to take priority over hobby blogging I'm afraid.
If you've landed on this blog and want to explore the concepts I touched on here further, have a look at these pods (note these link to Spotify but I'm pretty sure both can be found elsewhere):
1 - The Placebo Magick Podcast
2 - THE WONDER: Science-Based Paganism
In addition, you may also look into SASS witches, and I'd also suggest having a look at your local UU church for a communal space of diverse progressive religious ideas if you haven't already, as I seem to be seeing a good deal of potentially in my own local church here. Your milage may vary though, as from what I understand attitudes can vary greatly from congregation to congregation. Atheopaganism as described by Mark Green and in his book by the same name is very nearly exactly what I was getting at here, and he happens to co-host The Wonder podcast as well so he's a very strong recommendation for this subject.

THIS instagram post from Kelly Ann Maddox while simple was a huge game changer for me in regards to getting my butt to the altar. Your altar shouldn’t just be a place you go to when you have energy. It should also be a place for you to recharge and receive energy. That mind shift she talks about where instead of saying “I don’t have energy to go to altar” you say “I have no energy I should go to the altar” really blew my mind tbh. It’s truly reshaped the relationship I have with my altar so I wanted to share in case that wee bit of wisdom could help someone else. âœŒđŸ»đŸ’•

1. Doctor finds anecdotal evidence that people are passing kidney stones after riding on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Disney World
2. Doctor makes 3-D model of kidney, complete with stones and urine (his own), takes it on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad 60 times
3. “The stones passed 63.89 percent of the time while the kidneys were in the back of the car. When they were in the front, the passage rate was only 16.67 percent. That’s based on only 60 rides on a single coaster, and Wartinger guards his excitement in the journal article: ‘Preliminary study findings support the anecdotal evidence that a ride on a moderate-intensity roller coaster could benefit some patients with small kidney stones.’”
4. “Some rides are going to be more advantageous for some patients than other rides. So I wouldn’t say that the only ride that helps you pass stones is Big Thunder Mountain. That’s grossly inaccurate.”
5. “His advice for now: If you know you have a stone that’s smaller than five millimeters, riding a series of roller coasters could help you pass that stone before it gets to an obstructive size and either causes debilitating colic or requires a $10,000 procedure to try and break it up. And even once a stone is broken up using shock waves, tiny fragments and “dust” remain that need to be passed. The coaster could help with that, too.”

Enjoy the Moments
Enjoy the moments,
Don’t let them slip,
Into the void of the past,
Enjoy the moments,
Cause they’re never more than a moment,
And moments never really last

It's about to hit us here in Oklahoma and the rest of the southern states that are not used to this level of cold.
Please take this seriously if you live somewhere this is going to impact significantly.
I just sincerely hope texas' power grid doesn't fail them again.
but at least a small blessing is that this isn't bringing much precipitation with it and the worst of it will be the wind.
Anyway. Stay inside, wear layers, and bundle up. Get your cold weather shit prepped now if you haven't yet.

I'll also add that if you want a very, very light read on Druidry (I mean, this book is something I could probably give to a ten year old and trust they'd both finish it and actually be able to get some out of it) then I can suggest The Druid Path, also by John Michael Greer. You'll know it by its very aesthetic cover in the same form factor (and from the same publisher, and in the same series) as the Wiccapedia.
Although the rest of the books in that series are, to my limited understanding at least, rather controversial for having occasional problematically misrepresentative elements to them this one is pretty solid, a very quick read, and will give you a few solid actual irl practice ideas you can take from it along the way. For any real deep dive you'll wanna look elsewhere but imo it's a pretty good lightweight primer if you just want a cheap $9.99 book to give you a basic bare bones practice adaptable to almost any prior belief system, and decide if it's worth diving in further after.
Hey, question, I'm a Christian who always felt miserable while worshipping my God the way I was trained to, but still felt connected to Them, over the years I met witches and learned about paganism and a bunch of other things, and I realized that there was something I felt was missing. I want to try practising druidism as part of my spirituality but Idk the first thing about this stuff as I was never encouraged to learn about other faiths and practices. What's a good place to start learning and practising?
There's a lot of leeway and freedom in the direction you might choose to explore, as modern druidry is vast and dynamic. As for literary resources in terms of books that are current, an easy read, and with a fair amount of historical context (both for the ancient druids and the history of the modern revival movement of the last three centuries) I would recommend The Druidry Handbook by Greer.
Greer puts the history of druidry (both ancient and modern) in a context that makes a lot of sense. Some of the things he outlines for the modern druid practitioner can be either used or ignored as you deem fit. He's showing a small glimpse of what is available, and his book largely speaks on behalf of his druid order AODA (Ancient Order of Druids in America).
If you're in a situation where you don't want to be caught reading books about druidry, one helpful reminder is that druidry has drawn in many reverends over the last few centuries. Even back in the 1700s some of those Christian clergy exploring and reviving druidism espoused different theological topics that relate to druidry in different ways. Another option if you need to avoid physical books about druidry would be to do a bit of web research on:
Latitudinarianism
Deism
Pantheism
Panentheism
Soft Polytheism
Ecospirituality
You may have noticed by now that as I am an active member of the Reformed Druidry movement (RDNA) I tend to have my own biases in favor of this order more than others. There are a few dozen different druid orders out there, but you don't have to join an order to practice druidry. The RDNA's resources are always free, mostly in the form of PDF files. Like the rest of the Druidry Revival movement, the RDNA was also founded by non-pagans. In fact the RDNA founder David Fisher also became an Episcopal priest, and the order still draws in a fair amount of Christian druids. Everything in the RDNA can be subject to a purely metaphorical or symbolic interpretation, with everything potentially signifying something unique to the practitioner.
I'd be happy to help with any additional questions!

Our system is broken.  It is cruel.  It is dehumanizing, degrading, and it’s vile nature is so, so unnecessary.
We need universal healthcare today in America.  We needed it 40 years ago.  It’s cheaper, it’s simpler, it’s more efficient, it’s more effective and it is so, so, so much less cruel than what we have.
Tumblr media
Additional sources/references:
Universal Healthcare Cost in America would be cheaper by trillions of dollars
The US has worse life expectancies than socialized healthcare countries
We have worse generalized healthcare results
We have the most expensive care
Our system is so cruel and unique that doctors from other countries literally can’t believe what happens here
I can’t tell you where or how to activate to help solve this.  There are politicians, groups, and activists pushing for this in so many ways.  I can tell you when, though.
Now.

Today's Adventure is that I, after an unintentional 13-hour power nap,
Got woken up at 6AM by a phone call from a friend stranded in Montana because of the heat wave and almost no cell service because of their crap provider.
OhSoThat'sHowIt'sGonnaBe.jpg
Ok.
I somehow summon a week's worth of spoons and in less than 30 minutes and 5 phone calls, get them
A hotel
An appointment with a mechanic from 2 states away
A perscription refilled from 2 states away
and A Pizza
Go me.
But then it's 8AM and there are unscheduled live humans at the door and while EVERGENCY MODE is still on, I have already blown through a ton of spoons, and also probably shouldn't meet whoever it is wearing just a pair of bootyshorts that say "CRYPTID" in Gothic Font on my ass.
So I greet them in those shorts and a T-shirt that I manage to put on both inside out and backwards
#nailedit
It is, Fortunately, not the mormons.
it is, Unfortunately, two UPS guys trying to deliver my other in-house friend's new phone except the new guy doesn't know how to operate the "sign for package" device, and the old guy that's supposed to be mentoring him is like, 92, deaf as a post, and doesn't actually know how to operate the device either.
by the way
it is already
over 100 out
it takes almost 30 minutes to sign for the phone
when i get back inside, i discover that apparently the Corgi has learned how to open his kennel from the inside because he is now out of the kennel and waiting for me to come in.
he also has cat litter all over his face because while he was waiting for me he also learned how to open the baby gate to the cat's room and help himself to a cat shit breakfast.
He'll be fine
He's a cattle dog, they're legally required to have at least 1 really disgusting snack they love.
but
more to the point
i have no idea at what point he learned to open his kennel from the inside
has he been staying there out of politeness this whole time??
And
I got other shit to do today.
namely.
I'm seeing a realator
The Devils most pathetic yet effective demons
I get a reminder text that I have an appointment with her
at least
I think that's what it is because what she sends me is: "🏡⏰12:00 ❔"
With the time typed in the middle like that.
She is, according to her profile, at least 80.
so I reply "😎👍"
and then she sends me a string of GODDAMN POST-MODERN EMOJI HEIROGLYPHICS THAT TAKE UP MY ENTIRE SCREEN.
She's on an iPhone so half of them don't even translate across platforms
It takes me half an hour and three different software programs and goddamn wingdings to translate, but she has sent me the address and rules about masking and not wearing shoes inside.
in emoji
instead of like
literally any other format
I am
FASCINATED
and simply must meet the woman so if I don't come back to update I got stolen by the fairies but I'm taking the Corgi with me as protection so I'll see y'all later.
