"I'm not supposed to explain it to you because you won't understand, but I will try it:
It's not football; many people don't understand what an offside is or don’t know who are the others playing with Messi, Dibu (Emi Martinez) or Tini's boyfriend (Rodrigo De Paul). But they don't care. We don't care.
Because it's not football...it's a old woman without grandchildren that becomes the country's grandma dancing always at the same corner; it's a kid that handcrafted an album because he can’t afford one; it's an old man on the deck chair on the sidewalk watching the game through the shop window and a country coming together to buy him a television; it's a power outage during a definitive moment; it's not believing in luck, but following all the lucky charms and acts; it's the kids watching the games together at their schools; it's the kid with the "real" jersey and the one who purchased the one he could afford; it's the thousands of people who shaved their heads, got tattoos and stopped smoking; it's a whole country that stops the world during each penalty, even though half of the population during the definitive moment goes for a walk because their hearts can’t take it; it's millions of people organizing themselves to put papers in their freezers; it's the '86 final match's referee's birthday; it's Maradona at a tv show one december 18th; it's hugging a stranger in whatever part of the planet you're at because they're wearing the same jersey as you; it's a couple of lunatics taking selfies from the top of the obelisk; it's seeing a group of guys that fight with us and copying them, because we understand that we're the best when we all go together.
I want to explain it to you, but I can't because it's a feeling...the most beautiful thing is that if you don’t have it, you can choose it. It doesn't matter where you were born or what your last name is: an argentinian is born wherever they want, even in Bangladesh.
Because sometimes everything hurts us a lot, but we have this superpower and for you to feel it, you have to choose to believe.
Or, simply, believe.
Because, when passion unites us -even if it's for us, for them or because we feel he deserves it- we're champions again.
It's not football; it's something bigger, it's Argentina.
I tried to explain it to you, but you won't understand it"

So... did anyone managed to go to work in Argentina after the world cup finals or was the entire country collectively having the mother of all hangovers after that win? (Not to mention high blood pressure because wtf was that game).
One of my coworkers woke up yesterday morning, still drunk, in a bus stop and came to work around noon when he finally figured out where the bus stop was.
Today was a holiday so people could see the NT and
yeah
