More coffin painting today. Peter tired quickly but Richard his son joined us. It was his first ever hands on coffin experience and he did very well. The painting was followed by a relaxing cup of tea in the garden appreciating our handy work. We now have to cover the inside of the coffin with hessian, single layer with no cushioning (not needed when I’m dead!). Also the order has gone in for the wood to build the next coffin, which will be Peter’s.

So many handles at B&Q..... though choice!
Colour was easier for me: white
Good background for any design which feels appropriate

Tuesday 2nd April.
Here is Dietmar cutting the feet end board to fit the head end. We both managed not see the word ‘feet’ clearly written in front of us. Luckily we have enough left over for new feet.
Taking shape though.
