Which astrological house do you look at that rules spirituality? I've read that its both 9th or 12th but not really sure..

Yes, both.

The 9th house pertains to religions and dogmas, spiritual teachings and systems, philosophy, and humanity's search for truth and meaning. The 12th house pertains to the higher dimensions, heavenly guides and beyond the veil.

However there is a spirituality to every single house. The 1st house is the spirituality of breath and body and incarnation. The 2nd house is the spirituality of the forest and garden and even money (devotees of the great Goddess Lakshmi consider every coin a manifestation of Her.) The 3rd house is the spirituality of teaching, talking, reading and written communication. Devotees of Odin believe that He "died" in a way to gift us the runes (a sacred alphabet). The 4th house represents the spirituality of our roots, the passage in and through the womb, and the connection to the nursing parent. The 5th house represents the spirituality of creation, art, and pleasure, including sacred sexuality. The 6th house represents most witchcraft and cottage magic as well as geomancy and feng shui. The magic of tidying up. The 7th house represents the spirituality of the mirror of the "Other". the 8th house represents the dark spiritualities, shadow work and the occult. The 10th house represents the spirituality of the sacred calling, the life's purpose, traditions, and the motivation of desire. The 11th house represents the spirituality of the dream world-- the in between place between here and beyond the veil-- and our hopes and wishes and "manifestations".
