You are central air on a hot summer day. You are the warm fire on a snowy day. You have a choice to be a bitter cold front or pour gasoline on the fire…what will it be? Our families are watching us to see what the forecast will be. We need to regulate the temperature of our family based on the season of life we are in. Figure out what makes you freak, then nip it in the bud. Life is too short to keep on acting like a busted thermostat. PRAY SELFLESSLY. Get started earlier. Take deep breaths before entering a crowded room. Practice positive self-talk. Take a break. Have a dance party. Find your tribe. Seek counseling for issues that are inhibiting your quality of life.

It drives me straight up bonkers when parents say it is none of their business what decisions their children make. Did they not invest all of their capital in this little startup we call family? Who are the major shareholders? And who suffers if it ends in bankruptcy?
I'm not talking about following them around until they're 20 or making them wear a wire. Nope. I’m talking about guiding our children in the direction of healthy choices and being clear about the expectations that we have for them. This whole idea that we cannot “impose” our values and beliefs on our kids is ridonk. If we do not teach them what we know to be true, who will?
We do not need to control our children, but we do need to “train them in the way they should go. And when they’re older, they will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6)

Lotion bars! Melt together first 3 ingredients; add vanilla and remove from heat. Pour mixture over coffee beans...I used a silicone ice tray for the shape. Allow to cool and voile. The possibilities are endless:)
