"Oh, Jimin left him at home." I DIED Y'ALL. SEVERAL TIMES. Also the entire photo section of this post will consist of pictures of my cat Yoongi and the shit he has gotten in the mail recently. Yoongi has a new toy named Jack. Make of that what you will. ANYWAY.

He's gonna burn it down, burn it all down. SO WHAT HAD HAPPENED WAS -- I was in Florida and I had a little emergency hospital visit which was unplanned. There was also a Jimin's birthday and a whole ass Busan concert and a Live and a military enlistment announcement which: I can't talk about that. I CAN'T. So don't ask me. And I had an otherwise lovely time and got home to one Very Cranky Oppa, Kevin having been informed of my "Oh Shit Here We Go Again With This Bullshit" thing. Man was mad. Like, hovering mad. All up in my business and stuff. We love Kevin From Itaewon, okay, and we are also being very, very kind to him and to his boyfie X FOREVER. Not just because Park Jimin was in X's apartment but also for that reason. And there was a day recently when Kevin called to grouch at me. There were all the days, really. He's been on his oppa shit for a solid month. But this one day it was midday my time so ASS O'CLOCK in Seoul. Kev was staying at X's because Kevin's place is in Itaewon and Very Awful Things have been going on there. You know I told you Kev and X maintain two residences? Turns out that has been one small blessing in that whole ass nightmare over there. But at Kevin's house you don't often hear the tinkling of a GIGGLING PARK JIMIN IN THE NEXT ROOM. And he was not alone.

When Jimin said my name I thought he said "Hello Jewelry" and I was about to offer him my grandmother's wedding set and my mom's tennis bracelet. But instead I said "Hi Jimin-ssi saranghaeyo" and "Hi Hobi-nim saranghae!" and they were very kind. And then I was asked if my dream came true (X was, in his defense, drunk, did I mention?) and I said, because I am an entire idiot,

"No." "No?!" "Next time bring Jungkook-ssi", says still reasonably formal but definitely insane person holding my phone. (It was me, I'm the insane person). LAUGHTER. UPROARIOUS, UNBRIDLED AMUSEMENT. There was a thump, which Kev said "Oh Jimin fell" and some choking and I swear before God, JIMIN SNORTGIGGLED AT ME and Hobi let out the horsiest, cutest guffaw, like, they may have all been tipsy is all I'm saying. Kevin was appalled, probably. I wasn't paying attention to him. "Oh, Jimin left him at home" said one Jung Hoseok. IN ENGLISH. I mean, I didn't know Hobi was down with past tense and grammar and shit but HE SAID ITJUST LIKE THAT. AND LAUGHED. And then Park Jimin giggled. HE GIGGLED HE SOUNDS LIKE AN ANGEL I LOVE HIM SO MUCH YOU GUYS OMG

And then Kevin said "say goodbye" and instead I said "daedanhi kamsahamnida" which is "thank you so so so much" but I said that too and Jimin said "very nice to meet your jewelry" and Kevin was like "girl I'mma call you back when you can breathe without crying" and ...that was it. That was all she wrote. It ain't all I'm gonna write but the conversation was over. And about twenty minutes later after I resurrected again I was like WAIT.

WHAT.

Because, like, I don't know what all X has told Hobi and or Jimin about me. But I feel pretty confident that HOBI MADE A JIKOOK REFERENCE and there are two possible explanations: 1. They were just drunk as fuck and messing with a known ARMY; OR

2. That man was not thinking and told the truth. Jimin left Koo at home to go out with Hobi. At HOME. At ostensibly HIS HOME. Where Jungkook may also reside, at least occasionally. One of those things is true. Unless you think I'm yanking your chain. Which: I have no proof I'm not, at least no proof I'm willing to share. What I will share is that Yoongi the cat (or possibly yours truly) has been receiving regular deliveries from Hybe ever since. Nothing major and mostly the stuff is readily available on Weverse. No notes in it or anything, just.... stuff.

Stuff I have not ordered or paid for and there are no packing slips or invoices to tell me who did. It doesn't show up in my Weverse app. It just.... shows up.

I was GONNA get the photobook I swear to God I had intended to order it but it just.... arrived. I pulled Taehyung.

SOPE IS REAL THIS IS MY PHOTO PROOF LOOK AT YOONGI KISSING J-HOPE Mostly it's been Hoseok-related. Kev and X disavow all knowledge. If one of you did it, please do let me know. But I like to think it's no coincidence that Yoongi is now the proud owner of an Arson candle and a Jack In the Box.

I mean. It's cute stuff and I super wanted all of it but let's be real, here. If you'd rather believe this never happened and I just made it up out of my head, I would not even blame you. No dates, no sources, no pics, no receipts, nothing that could not have been ruthlessly fabricated and/or preordered by me and expeditiously shipped. Right? RIGHT.

But if you wanna squeal with me I won't get mad at you, either :) And yes, I do think the Jeon-Parks are jeonparking. I also think Jimin had his wisdom teeth out but who the hell knows.

I cannot think of (and i asked some friends too) where JK might have said that. So if someone has the source for that quote from Jungkook, let me know! Otherwise, it could have just gotten misremembered because it sounds very similar to when Jin said he had no friends and that the members weren't his friends, they were his family. That happened in this interview after Jin said he had no friends and all the members got super offended. Lmaoo

As for the "I love you hyung" quote from Jimin that gets spread everywhere. It's not true. It got mixed up and people will say it comes from a fansign most often, but sometimes an interview or whatever all from 2015. Lmao but it's just made up. It comes from one of those parody accounts that do incorrect quotes. This one somehow just took off in the fandom and got passed around as one of those things that people just accept as truth without checking sources and without being able to find the sources. 😅🤣 so no, that did NOT happen. It came from the Jimin's Diary parody account on twt, here was the original tweet:

And they haven't posted since 2015, it's clearly not an active account anymore. But for example, more of their tweets to show that this was all just fake content for jokes and laughs, like some of the incorrect sub accounts we still have posting now. More examples:

Etc etc etc... 😅😅 so yeah, that one is just NOT true. Lol but a lot of people think it came from the 2015 fansign where a somewhat similar quote happened, where Jimin told everyone that JK hugs him to sleep at night, which can be seen at this clip

So I think people just merged those in their heads and ended up thinking that quote actually happened.... and then it just got talked about and as the years went on, no one ended up questioning it. And so yeah, that one is all the fandom collectively making things up 🤣

Came across this interesting YouTube video (https://youtu.be/kVqTACAN7Nk) - it has 3 men, all gay, talking about gay stereotypes and they approve/disprove each one. One of the men is Korean and he talks about how he watches if guys have limp wrists, particularly stronger masculine looking men (it was at the very beginning and end of the video). And then I came across this post about Jungkook with limp wrists (https://mobile.twitter.com/illicitvk/status/1579651985783279616).

I just don't see how some people can be in denial over Jungkook being queer (which in hindsight is probably a good thing, to protect him and Jimin). Also from BTS's own mouth, the first words Jungkook said to Namjoon were "wow thighs!"

Another thing I'll point out if that he mentioned in Korea, with Kpop, he would take particular note over if a guy had an affinity for girl groups songs and that it would make his gaydar go off. Lol and then we again (since you mentioned JK here) JKs affinity and love for girl group dances, to the point where a 20 minute compilation video can be made lol

Your second link, where you talk about limp wrists and link to photos of JK with a limp wrist, I'm not going to like that myself, the account is a JM anti tkkr. But I WILL instead link this edit, which is one of my FAVS. I also will NEVER forget the absurdity of a kpop article compiling JKs limp wrist photos and saying fans love JKs flexible wrists that he does because he "acts like a bunny" 😭🤣 save my man from the hets 🤣

And yes, the amazement over Joons thighs at their first meeting. Not to mention also the way he scanned G dragon in a full body stare on stage once or talks about how RDJ is his celebrity crush 🤣 man's is so 🌈

Plus there is zero hetero explanation for half the shit he does with Jimin too. So just ya know. Lol I too, don't understand how people can't see the queerness in Jungkook. But WHATEVER!

When Jikook are sleeping, it’s wise to let them sleep, because when that dragon wakes up, they’re undeniably loud, like can’t make brother/friend excuses for loud. I absolutely agree with the significance of this moment. I watched all 53 live performances and this was the only time Jikook were looking at each and singing together.

i don't get the significance of changing "and i still want you" to "but i still want you". i did read all your posts about it and everything else is now obvious to me. not the and x but change tho. could you help a clueless anon? lol thank you!

TTU last Seoul concerts 2019 was huge for me anon, you are so right.

I absolutely adore that song. It’s sad and meaningful and their performances, even more so the live performances are so emotional and raw. If I’m already at it, I would like to recommend you watch a specific performance of this song. Other than the last performances in Seoul 2019, this one is my favourite. Again, the raw emotions you get from them all, and V’s part, just wow.

They end the song JM’s back to JK.

Obviously I’m not the staging director and I don’t know for sure why this staging was chosen, I can only guess. But what I see is that JM is singing alone “and I still want you”, he’s the ‘monster’ for this part, he wants but he can’t have, and he’s resigned to the fact that he can’t have it, hence the facing away. Could be total bull, and obviously it’s up for interpretation, not to mention the fact that my forte is facts not literature and interpretations of poems and art, but there you have it - what I see in that specific staging and performance of that song. Take it or leave it, lol.

That was the staging and performance throughout the whole tour, even when the stage itself and the costumes changed. JM singing “and I still want you”, the last line, by himself, back turned to JK.

But for the last 3 Seoul concerts in October 2019 they decided to change it up, and the only part changed was that last line. The lyrics, how it was sung and how it was staged. And the changes, they involved only those two - JM and JK.

At the end, just before the last line that is changed from “and I still want you” to “but I still want you” JM still has his back to JK. And then, while singing, together, “but I still want you”, he turns and they both not only facing each other but looking at each other as they finish the song.

Changing it to "but I still want you" turning to each other, looking into each other's eyes is loud and huge and I think that if you read the song lyrics, if you see the meaning behind the song you will understand why "but I still want you" is so meaningful.

There is so much about this song that makes me sad, especially thinking of the impact it has on anyone that feels they need to hide their true selves from others, from society, from their fandom. It's JM, JK or any other member of the LGBTQ+ community that feels they would be perceived as a monster if they show their true self.

The song is about wanting someone but the fear of exposing yourself to them, maybe they won't accept you.

Ending the song with “and I still want you” is, in a way, accepting things as they are...things are the way they are, and yet, I still want you. Hence JM with his back turned to JK, resigned to things as they are - I want you, I have to hide my true self...

But then ending the song with “but I still want you” it has a boldness to it. Not accepting things as they are, wanting them to change, in a way fighting for them to change.

It’s an ending to the song with a sense of defiance. Like a child being told by a parent they aren’t allowed something, and try to argue “but I want to…”, not accepting the no, not accepting society telling them they are ‘wrong’.

That’s my take from it.

And them turning to each other, looking at each other when BOTH of them are singing that line - looking at each other and singing “but I still want YOU”, well to me that was a big WOW moment.

We need to remember, ALL the time, these are two young men in a supposed closeted queer relationship, living and working in a mostly homophobic society. But not only their society is homophobic. A big part of their fandom is too, and they are well aware of it. They are aware of the fact that there will be army that would not accept them for their true selves, not love them if they took off that mask they are wearing and showed themselves for who they truly are. And they want to. They want to take off that mask. They want to be true to themselves, be able to act naturally, not to hide not only who they are but also who they love. But they also want, need, Army’s love, and there is a great fear of losing that love if they do take off that mask they are wearing. And that’s a daily struggle for both of them.

So, they kind of live in a push and pull reality. Pushing the boundaries time and time again, sending these hints/messages to us, sometimes small, sometimes huge (hickey-gate for instance), for us to decifer. They want us to know, they want to be true to themselves, they want to be able to shout to the world they’re in love and who with. They can’t say it out loud, so this is their way of doing it. If you understand, then you understand. If you don’t or choose to ignore, so be it. it’s also a way of testing the water, trying to see if they are supported, if the fandom would accept them for who they are. And sadly, although there is a hell of a lot of support out there, there is a very big part of the fandom that still doesn’t and won’t accept them for who they are, who they love. They know they are loved and supported by many, but they also know there are many that would not accept them, not for who they truly are and not for who they love.

And on that sad note I send, once again, my love and support to JK and JM. We need to constantly show them, let them know, that they ARE seen and loved and supported, as individuals and as a couple.
