While it is true that there are some weird bits about the map like the walls & whatnot, this is also an incredibly stylized/simplified version of Vesuvia.

Also, regarding the huge splits in the land - let me explain to you a little something called canals

Thing is, Vesuvia is supposed to be fantasy Venice, which - as everyone already knows - is a city that sits entirely on (and sinks a little bit into) water. Just like Venice, all those breaks in the land are canals, which unfortunately aren't really mentioned that often (yet another good reason not to half-ass your world building folks).

Honestly I don't know what the fuck is up with Vesuvia's geography either, but I do like to imagine that there's a widespread gondola/canoe/boat service to ferry citizens around the city just like Venice does

So, there's still a lot I need to learn when it comes to worldbulding, like lore, making locations, making kingdoms, etc.

But... Am I the only one who feels... Confused? With Vesuvia's build?

The idea of the city being on water is pretty cool... But, what's with all the cuts in the pieces of land? And where are the bridges that connect them?

Also I wasn't aware that the castle was elevated from the rest of the city. Which has me very confused, if you have done Julian's route a lot. The very first chapter, you're at the castle grounds, which we now see is higher than the city, and you spot this stream of red water. That leads to South End- where the Rowdy Raven is.

There's too many large lines of water, the stream was supposedly behind the castle, and there's no reasonable path to the Rowdy Raven from the castle garden or behind the castle. And, again, not the same ground level. That elevation has no hills, it's just a straight cut down, there's walls and waterfalls to show that. From the chapter, it made me think the castle was in the center of Vesuvia and the Rowdy Raven was in an area behind the castle. There's also the fact that the stream of red water was flowing behind RR but as I show in the photos, how would that work? The bodies of water are too big and the red would have faded to pink and then probably to nothing in that area AND the RR seems to be in a certain spot that has the "behind it" part make no sense.

If you're sitting there saying "Why do you care, this is a romance game- it's not a big deal."

When has that stopped any weirdo writer/artist like me, dude? 🤣

it always feels like people are shitting on my pitties corpse when they argue it's a bad or violent breed. she was such an angel that it was literally her name. the only time she EVER hurt people was from wagging her tail too hard and wacking people. she's never been aggressive with another dog or human.

she was neglected until she died under my abusive fathers care. she suffered for no reason. she's only ever been a victim to the worlds cruelty. she would never be the cause of it. she doesn't deserve to be talked about this way.

if you're afraid of the breed, just say that. your feelings and fears are valid, spreading harmful misinformation that only aids in the over population of this breed is not valid, though. it's manipulation. you're part of the reason people are too scared to adopt them, which means a lot of them are killed in shelters. animal cruelty isn't okay. I don't care if the animal is "scary", it's a living, breathing creature. they deserve to live happy and comfortable lives like every other breed of dog.

the abuse these poor things face because of stigmatization is part of the reason there's stigma in the first place. these dogs are abused until they're aggressive in order to survive. they're traumatized. they are hurting. I'm so tired of people being okay with them hurting. please. please stop hurting them. please stop lying about them. please stop reminding me that my babies life means less to you because of her breed.
