After everything Jaehyo doesn't trust anyone. He kicks and flails for all its worth, even trying to hit the man carrying him, even though it’s not as hard as he thinks it is.

His butt hits the table, and to him it feels too much like the metal tables he was thrown on back there. His state of mind isn’t helping him much, but he decides that with what body movement he has, he’ll try to get away. He teleports off, making it half way out the doorway before he falls out onto his face, groaning loudly as his vision starts to fade out.

Suddenly, the man is far more responsive than before. And by responsive, it was more like the kid was trying to fight Ken off of him and hurt himself more. Ken let out a peel of swears, grappling to hold onto the boy better. 

“For fuck’s sake, boy, hold still!” He growled as he wrapped his arms around the boy’s waist. He cursed louder as he continued to flail before rolling his eyes and putting the boy over his shoulder, growling. “Shut up! I’m not taking you anywhere but my house! Hold still brat!” He growled and pushed his door open, looking around before setting him down on the table. “If you keep moving I’m going to knock you, out, you hear?” He growls at him, though its not too threatening, as he sees the fear in the boy’s movements.

For a moment he felt a comforting presence, thinking his brother had found him. Who else would treat him like this? The careful hands checked him over, and he groaned as he hit spots of injury, whining and turning his head over. Jaehyo’s eyes blinked open, and he looked up at the man holding him a bit. Shit this isn't Aiden. 

Then the words made sense, a doctor. Shit no that’s what they were too. Had they found him already? Was he that slow to escape. He started to flail and scream, trying his best to get away from him. “NO! NO! DON’T TAKE ME BACK THERE NO!” Jaehyo did his best to kick, his feet not doing much as he threw his arms around.

He had come to take out the garbage when he heard the first thud. He was surprised. Through it was an alley he had his store/ home’s back door pointed to, the alley was farther and out of sight of the road. An alley to an alley really. He stared at the man who seemed to appear and disappear, slamming himself into the wall of the building next door. He knew he should probably leave the man alone but he could see how wounded he was and he had taken his doctor’s oath long ago and would not go against his code.

 He sighed as he walked over to the form, carefully looking at the man. He slowly turned him over, observing his wounds and prodding his fingers into the man’s sides and body, searching for internal damage. He found what he though he would. Concussion, ruptured vessels in arm, bone fractures in hands and some hemorrhaging of the diaphragm. A soft sigh escaped him as he shook his head and slipped an arm under the man’s back. “Can you hear me? If you can hold up two fingers. I’m a doctor, I’m here to help you.”

How long has he been walking? Age, minutes? Jaehyo can’t remember, fuck, he can’t remember a damn thing. In his hazy mind, he’s teleporting up building to get home, but in actuality he’s teleporting and hitting the same wall, only to slide down and try it again. He groans out as he ends up hitting his blackenede eye against his hand, rubs are only hurt even worse ass he gives up and lays in the alley.

Aiden nods as he takes the phone into his hands, looking down and nodding as he held onto it tightly. “I will.” He nods quickly and stuffs it into his pocket. “Jackson, none of this adds up to me at all. I mean I’ve never seen him get like that before, and I asked around and even a friend he lived with has never seen him like this.” 

Jackon let out a very soft breath of a sigh, taking a phone out of a locked cabinet under his desk and handing it to the other. “Aiden I will find your brother.. But I need to you keep this phone with you at all times. There is a chance that I’ll need your help as soon as I find him and I can’t guarantee it’ll be at any reasonable time of day.. or night. I’m the only person who has this phone’s number so if it rings, it’ll be me and it’ll be important.”

“He was freaking out after I called, our usual place was closed and he was worried because we didn’t know anyone there.” He sighs, holding his face in his hands. “I’m even surprised he went out to bar hop, he’s hardly even left his room since the visions increased. What worries me is that he left your card where I could find it, he always has it with him just in case.”

Sign number one. It was just a simply sentence, but it’d caused a bit of dread to spread through him. Keeping a calm outside, he wrote down that bit, right hand still resting on the other’s shoulder. “Can you tell me why? Why did he say he was against delivery?”

Aiden’s hands went together and fidgeted nervously. He had calmed down a little, he trusted whoever Jaehyo trusted, and he really seemed to trust this man in front of him which laready spoke volumes. “He’s cell doesn’t work, I’ve called at least fifteen times. He’s been having more visions, and he’s been very wary of things. I mean the other day he about freaked because I had called for delivery.”

Jackson nodded softly to himself as the other spoke, quickly jotting down some notes.. That was until the frantic speed of the other’s words finally registered. He looked up with a mix of care and concern in his eyes, a hand resting on the other’s shoulder.  “Aiden, thank you for this. I promise you that I’ll find your brother and he will be alive, alright? You have my word”

"Or a couple of hours." Aiden let out a chuckle, Jaehyo let him our of his embrace to lean against the wall and rest there. The elder moving over to sit beside him as they both looked up at her. 

"Jumping back to mutations and people like us.I'm a bit more obvious than little brother here." He smiled up, something he's not really used to doing. "Blue eyes and white hair aren't normal. My question is, how did someone find him? Unless you made him trip out?" He turned, asking the younger. "I would have remembered if I did that."

"Oh? I think it would be… unkind to say that I would be curious to see someone like that… some of my people can shapeshift, but not… like that." She explains, absent-mindedly twirling a dark brown curl around he fingertip as she watched the two brothers’ hug - it reminds her of home, and of her hahren telling stories by the fire while she cuddled up to his knees. She has no siblings, and her mother never was quite so affectionate, but there still is longing there. Too much.

When she laugh in response to Aiden’s words, it’s obvious that she hasn’t in a while - her voice is almost broken, and a little raspy, unused in such a way. “Well, if that would make you feel better, I could perhaps freeze him for a couple of seconds so he can experience your ‘suffering’.” She teases, shooting the boys a little wink.

You know what would be really cool?

Aiden being best friends with an artist, and when they have artblock Aiden will use his mutation to give them some vivid hallucinations (not like scary ones but like really trippy shit) to hopefully help them set off an idea and help them over come their artblock and stay completely safe.
