To The Best Friend I Lost

When yours was busy, I was your mom I was your sister when you couldn’t talk to one I was your girlfriend when you had none I was your best friend before you were gone

I used to give you my snacks and let you drink my water Hell, the only thing I didn’t give you was some shelter! But you gave back through sharing jokes and laughter Then suddenly, it was all over.

You found a girl to be more than I am One that does the things that I can’t She loves you more than just a friend Something I can’t give you because my heart’s already taken
