I think people get the “Bruce dancing like a stripper in the Iceberg Lounge” situation all wrong. The batkids won’t die of embarrassment because that’s their dad. They’ll die of frustration because they will never, ever be able to make Bruce feel embarrassed about it.

Khoa hides his whole top half of his face mainly because of privacy reasons, and also because it keeps him from feeling vulnerable. He wears it at all times in public and usually does not take it off for any reason unless he feels comfortable with it. This was actually super interesting to see in Zdarsky’s btk run! Khoa starts out maskless, but as the run went on (as Khoa learned that he couldn’t trust Bruce as much as he thought he could), he starts wearing a mask. And from there, Khoa only took off the facemask when he felt safe, or at least ok with being emotionally vulnerable (which coincidentally was only when Bruce was around.) Tynion also played into this, as Khoa didn’t wear his mask whenever Bruce recalled his past with Khoa, and yet Khoa was fully decked out in his cloak and mask whenever Bruce “broke up” with him in Argentina. Tynion has also shown Khoa taking off his mask in front of Bruce in the far future when they were sparring together, so it’s confirmed that Khoa now trusts Bruce with his face again <3

As for people who have seen his face or are allowed to see his face? I know for certain Bruce saw his face growing up, and is still one of the ones who Khoa feels comfortable enough around to continue showing his face even in the future. I also know that Khoa’s first love, Reah, saw his face, and that Khoa was more than happy to share it with her. I also think potentially Qiu saw his face, as Zdarsky hinted at them dating (and the fact that Khoa kept her mask design). Madame Midas also saw his face, although I don’t think she really counts considering Khoa was like 8 at the time. Avery Oblonsky taught Bruce and Khoa as they were training, so she saw his face too. And most of the League of Shadows/League of Assassins along with Ra’s and Talia saw his face. Other than that, Khoa hides or did hide his face from literally everyone, including his adopted son Phantom-1, his newest protege Clownhunter, most of Batman Inc., all of the batfam, Catman (who is one of his newer love interests), and im like 70% sure he didn’t let Angelbreaker see his whole face either.
