Надеюсь моё состояние "в универе по 8-12 часов в день, но всё очень круто" продлиться все два года учебы. Так хотим уехать на выходные куда-нибудь, но у кого "институт, экзамен и сессия", у кого work work work work work (sing it like Rihanna). Одно радует: все рабочие и учебные процессы происходят в тихом пригороде Стамбула. Вокруг лес, замечаешь природу и смену красок. Вчера, после землятресения, повылазили из норок разные жуки и ночью на террасе друг друга хрумкали. За холмами, в стороне Черного моря, полыхали зарницы. Молдавский кагор one love. 🇬🇧⬇️Твой город любит сюрпризы? Мне в этом плане повезло. И с Питером, и со Стамбулом. ⠀ В Питере зайдешь в какое-нибудь неприметное двухэтажное здание в центре, а над входом у него вот такой витраж. ⠀ В Стамбуле гуляешь по знакомому району, довольно старому, но уже всюду застроенному панельными домами, и вдруг начинаешь рассматривать ворота у заброшенного участка. А там надписи на армянском и греческом. И Адамова глава на них ржавеет по-тихоньку. ⠀ I like that both St.Petersburg and Istanbul can surprise me. It can be a stained-glass window inside an inconspicuous 2-floor building in the city centre. Or a skull and crossbones on the gate with Greek and Armenian writings guarding an abandoned land plot surrounded by the late 20th century concrete houses. How does yr city surprise you? 🇬🇧⬇️Поняла, что последний мой пост был выложен в понедельник на вводной лекции для магистров и аспирантов. Потом закрутили учёба, документы, переезд и, самое приятное, прогулки по городу с @nataliavasilkioti. ⠀ Намереваясь отдохнуть вечером в пятницу, мы встретились с друзьями, посидеть чуть-чуть у моря в Caddebostan, дома я была в 3:30 утра и очнулась от соц.сетевой комы только сегодня к полудню 🙈😅 а как ваше ничего? ⠀ Shared my last post on Monday during the orientation, then I had classes, paperwork, moved to a student apartment and, the nicest of all, did a couple of city walks. ⠀ Having planned to have a quiet Friday evening we met with friends to spend a bit of time on the Caddebostan shore and came home at 3:30am 😅 was able to overcome social media coma this afternoon only 🙈 and how are u doing? 🇬🇧⬇️Начало недели обещает быть жарким: ориентация для graduate students, ориентация на факультете, ориентация на самой программе, обучение на ассистента преподавателя (буду рассказывать про японизм в французском импрессионизме❤), оформление бамажек и переезд на студенческую квартиру рядом с кампусом (мой старикан малость переживает, но мне так сильно удобнее). Лето, Питер, я скучаю 😊 ⠀ This week is going to be bus-ey: grad orientation, faculty orientation, department orientation, TA training (will present Japonism in the works of French Impressionists 😍), paperwork×3, moving to a student flat by the campus and history walks (which I look forward to) with one lovely Istanbul first timer. 🇬🇧⬇️(грустная музыка, серьезный голос) Зимой я поняла, что если я в тридцатник как коряга, то дальше будет только хуже. От сидячей работы боль в спине начала отдавать в голову не по-детски. В общем, я взялась за body ballet и растяжку в Питере, за йогу и танцы в Стамбуле. Спина не устает меня благодарить. На шпагат я ещё не села, но в складочку уже ложусь 💪😁 ⠀ (sad music, dramatic voice) This winter I realized that if in my 30s I don't have a straight back and flexibility it is just going to get worse. My back pain from working in a sitting position turned into headaches. And I turned to body ballet&stretching when in Russia and yoga&dance when in Turkey. My back is constantly thanking me. Нельзя так людей пугать, друзья фины. ⠀ How do you like this mural by Oleg Lukyanov at the Consulate of Finland in St. Petersburg? ⠀ Story: After the consulate announced that the simplified visa application will no longer be available for those who reside in St. Petersburg as of Sept. 1, the visa centre got an incredible number of applicants and the queues were crazy. Our Finnish neighbors should think twice next time before scarying the Russian folk like this.
