Julian Assange’s shirt at the Cannes Film Festival lists the names of 4,986 Palestinian children aged five or younger who were killed by Israeli forces since 2023.

Sami, a young man from Gaza, was reading the names printed on the shirt… when he suddenly saw the name of his little brother — and several of his relatives — who were killed in the war.

Today, Sami lives in unimaginable conditions. He has four children who are at risk of dying due to hunger, malnutrition, and weakened immunity — all made worse by extreme poverty and skyrocketing prices.

This is @abdalsalam2000's blog banner. Nader is a Palestinian teenager trying to raise money for his family of seven (parents, brothers, sister-in-law, niece, and nephew) to escape the genocide in Gaza.

He's been active on tumblr for a long while now, and was one of the first to have their campaigns vetted: #4 on the gazavetters list! His goal is €50,000 (equivalent to around $56,723 with current exchange rates) which would enable his family to travel to safety.

Nader has worked extremely hard to raise these funds--tirelessly initiating conversations with strangers on tumblr, building social relationships, and promoting his campaign. He's raised €41,213 so far.

I can't imagine how hard it must be to have worked so hard, for so long, under such brutal conditions. To be so close to raising the total funds you need (82% of the way there!) but because you are just under €9,000 short, your family is still trapped.

Please help him raise the remaining 18%. After all of this, let it not be in vain.

I work with a lesbian senior citizen who just found out that her social security payments don't start until a month later than she had thought that they would (they start mid June). Our hours have been cut at work, and I'm thankful enough to be in a position of living with family, but Sue is on her own and struggling with rent and bills on top of trying to get groceries and take care of her cat that she's had for many years.

She's shared her gofundme on her facebook page with a few friends, family members, and coworkers but not many people have access to a more public platform like this. So I'm sharing her page on my blog in the hopes that it will reach more people.

She's truly a wonderful and kind woman and I know she would give up the clothes on her back to help someone else who was struggling, and if anyone can help her out I can't imagine how much she would appreciate it.

I have been helping Ghada Al-Anqar’s family for several months now, such that they know my name and get excited to hear of me. I am honored to have been able to help this beautiful family through the ongoing genocide and famine.

Ahmed and his family still need help!

Ahmed's fundraider was one forced to start from scratch recently. (it is vetted by: @gazavetters in line (#198) and @a-shade-of-blue )

Ahmed's progress was ripped from him, but kind people have helped him get back up to 9% of his goal.

Ahmed is a kid who has had to endure the horrors in Gaza, on top of being born with health issues because of dangerous gas bombs that affected his mother before his birth. He needs medical treatment as well as escape.

Please don't give up on Ahmed! The last donation was 10 hours ago at time of writing.
