Out of every theory that tries to explain why Six dropped Mono, the most uninteresting, unlikely, and infuriatingly simplistic one is "Six dropped Mono because she's evil". Like this game has mountains of lore and mystery there are dozens of other potential reasons but you decide "Yeah she did it because this nine year old has completely unmotivated malice in her soul and she only decided to show it then because ??????" Don't get me wrong I think the first game shows a darker progression of her character (both Mono and Six kind of become the monsters they were surrounded by in the end), but LN2 is a prequel, and Six's progression manifests in Hunger which is a force that only seems to be warped on the Maw. How can you see the way the Maw runs on hunger and has a system of exploitation, a food chain with the Lady at the top, the way the guests march to their deaths for a chance to satisfy their endless hunger, the way Six is implied to have willingly sought out the Maw because shadow Six wanted her to, the way something at the bottom of the Maw's food chain (Six, a child) literally ate the one at the very top (the lady), and how she is the only one to have ever walked into the Maw and walked back out after consuming both monsters and innocents. How do you see all that and think "Yeah Six ate the nome bc she felt like it. She actually did it because she is a Bad Person and wants to do Bad Things inherently." Why is this interpretation of Six so popular?
