Altered Carbon Season 2 | Teaser (2020)
Anthony Mackie is Takeshi Kovacs in Season 2 of Altered Carbon, streaming February 27.
In the twenty-fifth century, humankind has spread throughout the galaxy, monitored by the watchful eye of the U.N. While divisions in race, religion, and class still exist, advances in technology have redefined life itself. Now, assuming one can afford the expensive procedure, a person’s consciousness can be stored in a cortical stack at the base of the brain and easily downloaded into a new body (or “sleeve”) making death nothing more than a minor blip on a screen.

Day vs Night
A difference a few hours makes. It’s amazing how in the lack of light we are able to see so much farther away, into stars that are thousands upon thousands of miles away. Kiosk Lake, Algonquin Provincial Park.

Scenes from North Carolina
Came back from yet another road trip. A little over 8 hours to get there. I split it to two stretches of 4 hours of driving and slept at a truck stop in between. I ventured out to Lake Lure first, hiked at Chimney Rock State Park as it’s always been on my list of places to go, hiked up to Craggy Pinnacle to catch the sunset at the peak, caught some sleeping time at a cheap motel, visited downtown Asheville the next day to have breakfast, hiked up Hawksbill Mountain which has a gorgeous view of the Linville Gorge (“Grand Canyon of North Carolina”) and nearly stepped on a snake on the trails, drove along the Blue Ridge Parkway, hiked up Beacon Heights to scout for spots to shoot later on that evening, drove to a little town called Banner Elk to have dinner, hiked up Beacon Heights again post sunset, did timelapses of the stars and the Milky Way, hiked back down the short mountain trail in pitch dark lit by my flashlights and blasting music to keep the creepy factor down which did not really help, decided to skip lodging this night and drove to a nice overlook and parked the car and spent the night bundled up in the back with the gorgeous view, made sandwiches for breakfast while enjoying my morning overlook view, all hiked out at this point so I just drove along the Blue Ridge Parkway and stopped along portions that interested me, called it a day a little past lunch time and drove for 9 hours back to Florida! It was quite eventful to say the least.

I love people who teach me something new. Expand my mind. Talk to me about the universe. Share your dreams with me. Take me on a mental trip.
