6. Overdose — Trickle

I've known from the start that it all would fall apart Heart-broken after dark I'm such a fool for thinking anything has love for me, hah Overdose, hold me close, darling Feeling so low, falling Close my eyes and let me leave my blues behind

This is actually a piece I finished a few months ago; I had wanted to experiment with a more solid line brush, color palettes, and cropped compositions, and I figured doing an album-cover-style piece would be good practice for it! I meant to post it back when i finished it in June, because I'm honestly super proud of how it came out! But i just never got around to it— super happy I get to share it with you all now :]

As much as I love the stupid cod hat thing I draw I did want to come up with a scarier/cooler version of the mask so

Do you ever find it crazy how Empires SMP S1 had like... several gods just... walking around?

Like Empires s2 has Joel obviously but other than that no one else seems to really be a deity of any sort? I mean Sausage is there but he's not a god himself, just attracts them.

But s1? A solid third of the cast had some form of untapped divinity that they uncovered.

You had Lizzie, who turned out to be a ten foot tall goddess of the seas. Which means that Jimmy is at least a demigod just by nature of being her little brother. And the two of them are quite literally the oldest still living beings to ever walk the earth, predating civilization itself.

Then there's the whole situation with Scott and Xornoth. Reincarnations of vengeful gods, victims of an eternal cycle to perpetuate an endless grudge match. They may not be quite on the same level as Aeor and Exor but still!

And then on top of those four we also have Pearl??? Who is confirmed to have ascended after her death to a higher plane of existence? Who now has an entire religion surrounding her? Whose former best friend is now her most devout worshipper?

Does anyone else ever think about that?

I was part of the @mcytblraufest as @the-amber-shadow 's artist for their fic: Fish Out Of Water!

The fic is incredible and I had such a good time working with Amber! The pieces I've drawn illustrate a scene from the end of Chapter 11 which will be posted soon! So everyone better get over to AO3 and catch up to get context ;] And for a fantastic story that I personally will certainly be rereading :D

The idea that Jimmy is so powerful but choses to be kind and acts like the pathetic paper bag that he is.

Like imagine the watchers did scores like the hunger games, but they score Jimmy so fucking high?? Like he gets a higher score than Grian or Scott??

Imagine the initial fear Tango feels when he realises he killed a high scoring player only to be greeted by this golden retriever guy that’s built that captain America and almost falls off the cliff to the ranch so many times that Tango had to build safety walls FOR JIMMY!?

Don’t imagine Grian and Martyn taunting him everytime they show the score bc they know it’s accurate but he never shows his potential

jimmy, being a watcher disguised as a player, keeps a few of his extra eyes as tattoos on the back of his hand. with these eyes, it’s essentially like having a second monitor that shows miscellaneous things around the world, like unrendered biomes with floating mobs or in the form of glorified captions.

and because of this, grian makes him wear gloves/bandages over the eyes during the life games since he wants to offer a fair chance to players without omnipotent god powers

jimmy: YOU THINK IM GONNA CHEAT???

grian: yes you will i know you’re tempted (speaking from self projection)

grian is like you can go a few weeks without seeing that pink sheep floating in the skydome and it turns out he Can’t. the moment jimmy puts on the gloves and can no longer see stupid silly things happening on the server is the moment he is essentially blind. how will he live without seeing a skeleton stuck in a spin loop at y=-24?

and with jimmy’s fourth time dying first grian starts to reconsider that maybe he nerfed his friend a little too hard. but it’s still kind of funny to see jimmy scream when someone shows up behind him without warning
