Aphrodite Ourania,
Ethereal goddess who drifts among the crystalline stars,
I call to you.
Listen to my prayers, soft Theia,
And gift to me the fruits of my pleas.
Blessed Aphrodite, this I ask in the name of all the Olympians.
I desire your abundance,
The overflowing bottle of oil that is selflove.
Pour it over my tired head,
And bathe me in starlight.
Help me to care for myself and promote my own well being,
No matter the situation I find myself in.
Kiss me when I fall down,
And carry me if I cannot stand.
Aphrodite, hear me,
I beg for your assistance.

Goddess Aphrodite
Lady of Love
Who brings couples together
And smiles at their happy endings
Goddess Aphrodite
Most beautiful of all
Enchanting men and women
Who are blessed by her presence
Goddess Aphrodite
Adorned by helm and shield
Who fights alongside soldiers
Who dream of their lovers
Across deserts and seas
Goddess Aphrodite
Born of sea foam
Sprung from the ocean
Parentless
And pushed to shore
By Zephyr’s gentle breeze
Goddess Aphrodite
Of the Olympians
Who fans the flames
Of our passions
And celebrates our love
For ourselves, others, and the world

OLYMPIANS SACRED ANIMALS SERIES / Athena → Owls
Athena (Αθηνη), goddess of wisdom, strategic warfare and crafts. A little owl traditionally accompanies her. According to some mythographers, the association of Athena with owls stems from their ability to see in the dark. This characteristic makes owls the perfect embodiment of wisdom, Athena’s primary attribute.

Aphrodite says that you’re beautiful and handsome and good-looking and reminds you to drink some water and take care of yourself. Those things about your body that you don’t like are a part of you and therefore are worthy of all the love in the universe. They’re what make you you and Aphrodite wouldn’t have it any other way.

Hera: "My tongue will tell the anger of my heart, or else my heart concealing it will break."
Hades: "There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so."
Demeter: "One touch of nature makes the whole world kin."
Poseidon: "Not all the water in the rough rude sea can wash the balm from an anointed King."
Hestia: "Love all, trust a few, do wrong to none."
Athena: "I would challenge you to a battle of wits, but I see you are unarmed."
Hephaestus: "Come what come may, time and the hour runs through the roughest day."
Persephone: "If I had my mouth, I would bite; if I had my liberty, I would do my liking. In the meantime, let me be that I am, and seek not to alter me."
Artemis: "It is not in the stars to hold our destiny, but in ourselves."
Apollo: "Doubt thou the stars are fire, doubt that the sun doth move. Doubt truth to be a liar, but never doubt I love."
Ares: "Cowards die many times before their deaths, the valiant never taste of death but once."
Aphrodite: "I love you with so much of my heart, that none is left to protest."
Hermes: "My words fly up, my thoughts remain below. Words without thoughts never to heaven go.”
Dionysus: "Give me a bowl of wine. In this I bury all unkindness."
