the kids are alright...
now that both @theoldsmelly and myself are a year older, as of last weekend, it seems a good time to regress into our previous eras and act like kids.
an extremely popular topic for song, kids, and a totally unsurprising one. let's be real - a lot of musicians exist in a state of prolonged adolescence, so it makes sense they would write about what they know.
personally, i can't hear the term 'kid' without impersonating robert evans with a nasally "the kid stays in the pic-tcha!!".
i think i have been too busy to worry much about gaining another year to my name, but the same may not be true of smelly who quote - didn't want to talk about it - unquote. he has nothing to worry about...his sneaker game still rivals any teenage boy i know, and his penchant for striped shirts makes him appear youthful and possibly late for science class.
since kids these days have no patience, let's just get on with it, shall we? join us for some tunes about the kids, and we bid you a fond farewell until next week...
