having now finished my seventh pratchett novel, i will say confidently: discworld fans, you are so right. how are all of these such bangers?? tbh i'm a little distraught I didn't start reading these earlier in life but that means I have so many good books ahead of me so. mostly i'm excited.

There was a post going around a while ago saying something along the line of now that we've gotten people to stop joking about killing themselves, we need to focus on stopping people making jokes about how doomed we are.

I didn't reblog it because I vehemently do not agree. All signs point to a very grim future and that was before morons put the orange fuck back in office.

When I say that we are doomed, I am in absolutely no sense joking. I am mourning.

eleanor shellstrop one of the protagonists of all time honestly. woman who sucks so much who gets put in a situation specifically made to make her worse and instead she gets better. filled with love for other people but replaced it with malice for as long as she could because love got her nothing. went from being selfish for survival to selfless for survival and in the end she lands on being selfless for selflessness's sake. she even has mommy issues. she's even bisexual.
