So the fact that pokemon fit into pokeballs and can be transferred digitally via a computer in the game, that means that pokemon are somewhat digital themselves right?

Digimon are completely digital we know that, but they can also exist in the real world too. Knowing that and knowing the premis of the show is for the evil digimon to corrupt the world, we can assume that one evil digimon finally won, or the digi destined were able to find a way to coexist and it took some path where they found a legendary digimon,or what ever it would be called, and made a wish that the world's become one that way there is no more fighting. Unfortunately humans are humans and disagree with each other a lot so people like team rocket, magma, blah blah, blah blah, exist in every game in some form. These people took the place of the evil digimon from the digi world, they are just humans but radical humans so to speak.

What I'm saying is that the pokemon world starred with the end of the digimon world. The oldest known pokemon might have been one of the last ever digimon.

So I don't have an order of how I'm going to drop my theory but the best place to start is to say that I think digimon is the ancient predecessor of pokemon. As in digimon happened first and then thousands of years have passed and now pokemon are everywhere. So, that would mean that the digi destined kids finally lost and digimon digitized the world, but obviously humans are resilient of course. They fought back long enough that one of the God level digimon helped them or something, and then the world was restarted sorta and now it's combined with the digital world in such a seamless way that noone ever knew about digimon. The world got reset and back to a new beginning essentially. Where digimon...now pokemon were free and all humans could now take their own digimon/pokemon and never be alone again. Well that's just the basic thoughts I had to begin with. I've got a lot more that I've got to work out but it's a work in progress!

This may be high ramblings but I think it's an interesting idea so if you find this and disagree, kool. Don't be a jerk about it, explain your reason and listen to mine.
