Anyways
I hope all child parts and littles can heal in a way that's best for them, and they can live a life without fear where they can express themselves
Protecting child parts doesn't mean locking them in a bubble. Encourage healthy growth where possible

Sometimes you think your old internet persona from 5 years ago is an embarrassing dead memory and other times you dig up some music you made in that time and realize it sounds like another person made it altogether because your style is totally different and the real artist is probably the girl who woke up in your body 5 days ago with no idea who she was and you just feel so sorry for her because she didn't know anything she was just a dumb teen on the internet and she was trying to have fun but she didn't know anything about the world or how to filter herself and your family couldn't know you were a girl so you shoved her deep down and replaced her with someone agreeable someone who could blend in someone who could make people laugh and do all the right things but without any of the passion that drove her and then all you ever had were half-finished songs and covers that were technically impressive but dead on the inside
Sometimes you shoved your whimsy in a deep dark corner of your soul only to wonder what happened to it the next time you tried to make something
#hope this ok to reblog#I find her too sometimes. I wish we were closer. I should try to bring her out. Maybe a playlist of my 2021 songs#But i just want her to know i care..

You know how it's really ableist to tell someone with a mental disorder they can't do adult things based on your own perception of their "mental age?" Sure would be a shame if we continued that trend into system spaces!

Yall need to be nicer about final fusion/fusion in general btw. its fine if its not for you but its just a form of healing and the way people react to the concept itself with digust, "i would never thatd be horrible", anger.. Imagine how it would feel to see people saying that about functional multiplicity? I know people are apprehensive of fusion bc it seems forced on everyone, but many systems find happiness and health in it even if others dont. It really doesnt feel good for fused systems / those on their way to fusion to see how gross and scary and horrid you think their method of healing trauma is, and it can discourage them from seeking the treatment thats right for them.
be nice. and if you want to criticize psychiatry forcing fusion, go ahead. but insult the ones forcing it and not final fusion/systems who do fuse to heal. ❤️

Think systems with a high number of fictional introjects are a new phenomena? Kluft's paper on polyfragmented/extremely complex DID from 1988 includes a patient with LOTR introjects, and another based off of Shakespear's Tempest. Fictional introjects have been a thing for a very long time!

thing to describe some of our feelings lately.
text in the box:
we can't be accurately described as "both" multiple and median. we're in-between. we're not quite multiple, but median isn't fully accurate, either. it's frustrating to be the in-between of in-betweens. we know we could be considered part of the median spectrum, but we don't relate to other median systems, nor do we relate to multiple systems. we're too distinct and too similar at once for either.
(and the definition on pluralpedia for mediple, for reference:
A mediple, or mediple system (system can be replaced with cluster, or any sisasystem or sisasystem cluster term) is a system, sisasystem, or cluster that is decidedly both median and multiple. They may share closeness of mind, shared identity as each other, similar personalities, a single train of thought, or other characteristics, but distinctly identify as full-fledged and (semi-)separate people, and multiple in nature, despite not being partitionary by general means.

(Image description in alt text.) This is a comic that I found in a decades old issue of a magazine about multiples and DID systems, Many Voices: Words of Hope for People Recovering from Trauma and Dissociation, Vol XI, No.4, August 1999, ISSN 1042-2277. Illustrations and comics in this magazine are usually credited only by an artist's signature, which may be unclear or absent. This one doesn't have an artist credit, so Noah might be the signature, a name that doesn't appear elsewhere in the issue.

Okay maybe this is a shit take but it's lowkey really sad that so many people are against spirigenic systems?? I thought with how much overlap between the kin, therian, and plural communities there is it would be kind of understood that different people have different spiritual experiences and we should respect that even if we don't understand. Like. We understand it's more than a little rude to tell a Muslim that Allah doesn't exist, or a Christian that God doesn't exist as a way to demean or discredit their beliefs/identity, right? (Using a really basic example because im too tired to write out a more detailed one but I should hope my intentions are understood). Why is it suddenly a horrible thing if someone feels their religion effects them in some way that contributes to them being plural? A therian can have past lives as their theriotype, but a spirigenic system can't have their past lives define their plurality? It's just. I don't know. I find it unfair, I find it sad, I find it hard to wrap my head around.

multivergenic

definition: a systems and/or headmates origins are explained through the multiverse theory. several branches of modern physics, including quantum theory and cosmology, suggest our universe may be just one of many. this could mean members are literally from another universe, through any means (time travel, reincarnation, spiritual beliefs, etc), or the concept of the multiverse is a significant part of a system's origins despite not members being literally from another universe. it is similar (but not synonymous) to other origin terms like isekaigenic, aethergenic, metagenic, and cosmagenic. it is not to be confused with multigenic or mixed origin systems. this term is also not linked to any media about the multiverse (across the spider verse, dr. strange, etc) but can be combined with other flags (for example - multivergenic can be a macro label and across the spider verse may be a microlabel. can also combine multivergenic with the specific media universe the headmate/system originated from).
the difference between isekaigenic and multivergenic is that headmates may not identify as being "isekai'd" into this universe or traveled through other means (reality shifting, space travel) so that they did not die or get "isekai'd" in their original universe. multivergenic can be seen as a microlabel to the term cosmagenic, where multivergenic is specifically related to the multiverse theory while cosmagenic encompasses headmates from other universes, realms, timelines, and more, and is not explicitly related or explained by the multiverse theory.
a headmate may be described as a multiverfactive (in the case where a headmate reflects someone who exists in this reality but is a different version of that person from another reality - for example, a headmate may be albert einstein from another universe) multiverfictive (a headmate is a fictional character from another universe), or multiverbased (especially in the case where perhaps the multiverse is not the systems origin but certain headmates are multivergenic). this term can be used by systems of any origin, however, it is more common in endogenic, willowgenic, and tulpagenic systems.
coined by: @sciencebrokenbywhatever (as far as i'm aware!) :]
