[Day 15/100 days of reading challenge]
π Presence- Amy
Today, I continued reading the book. I remember last night when I read the book, it mentioned that being your most authentic self is when you are at your best. Research shows that people who embrace their authenticity perform better at work, and I truly believe in that. It resonates with me deeply. Lately, I've been reflecting on my core values, focusing on three main aspects: family, critical thinking, and embracing my natural self - carefree, captivating, sexy, and charming. I believe that when someone is their most natural self, in a positive way, of course, and in suitable situations, they don't need to pretend to be anyone else. I'm quite sure I read this concept in the book I'm currently reading, along with other audiobooks and articles throughout the day. It's essential to have a pep talk with ourselves, not by standing in front of a mirror and reciting empty affirmations, but by identifying and embracing our core values. I've chosen three values that I find important, and I genuinely think that if we can all be our best, most authentic selves, we don't need to be anyone else. Of course, it's crucial to be adaptable and considerate of different situations. The book discusses the belief that we have different selves in different situations. I resonate with this idea, especially in a professional environment where I might present a different side of myself compared to how I am at home with loved ones or with friends. It's still me, but adapting to the context. I find this concept quite intriguing. As I turn 30 this year, I've decided to embrace my natural self, in a positive way, while continuously striving for personal growth. In the book, the author mentions the best moments, using the example of a musician performing live. It's okay for the musician to be imperfect and show vulnerability because that's what creates an emotional connection with the audience. It doesn't need to be about perfection, but rather about the raw emotion, feeling, and vibrant energy. This resonates with some recent interviews I've had. I don't consider my answers or my English to be perfect, but I felt a genuine connection and the desire to share. I aimed to present myself intelligently while also building a meaningful connection. Sometimes, it's not about being perfect; it's about being authentic and vulnerable. I recall hearing a YouTuber say that what truly connects people is not perfection, but rather the willingness to open up and show vulnerability. I find this statement to be so true.

Continued 30' of the book " presence smt"
So sleepy today, but yeah. I still finished it
what i just read the author talked abt a research in a competition/ call for investment and it found out the main things attracted the investors not the ideas, the qualities... but the confidence, passion and enthusiasm of the presenters - also the founders... and those things couldn't be fake. And it also lead to another science proofs that it's not a shallow decision. Pp with these qualities often show better performances in their work/project...
Okay so that'll for today! Love yaaaa π
Remember today you did so well but tomorrow you must be better! πΎπ»ππ

[Day 5/100 days of reading challenge]
πPresence: Bringing your Boldest Self to Your Biggest Challenges - Amy Cuddy
At the beginning the author shares a normal situation from her life. It starts with her visiting a coffee shop where a waitress approaches her and thanks her for her Ted talk that helped her on her journey to success in medical school. The author goes on to talk about her past experiences that ultimately led to her giving a TED talk. Me myself felt the excitement, motivation, and inspiration upon discovering this book and relates it to a personal victory I had five years ago when I struggled with my career path but found my confidence through a conference meeting at my new company.
I found the TED talk I mentions while searching for inspirational English language content. Although my initial goal was to improve my English accent, i was captivated by the speaker's story and the impact it had on my own confidence and public speaking abilities. After delivering a successful speech in front of many people, i received positive feedback and compliments on my newfound confidence.
The book also delves into the author's history and the severe accident she experienced as a 19-year-old university student. The accident resulted in brain damage and a 30-point drop in her IQ. Despite these challenges, she demonstrates a remarkable resilience and determination to understand herself and pursue her passions in neuroscience and psychology. She shares her journey through medical school, including the pressure she faced during an elevator pitch and the emotional and psychological struggles that followed a poor performance. Through her experiences and an example of a French philosopher who was in a similar situation, she learns the importance of living in the present and not dwelling on past mistakes or worrying about the future.
In the following chapters, the author explores the concept of presence and how it can help improve confidence. She emphasizes the idea of doing our best in the present moment and not getting caught up in the uncontrollable aspects of the past or future. The book is expected to provide scientific evidence and practical strategies, including the "fake it till you make it" approach, to help readers develop and maintain genuine confidence.
so that's all for today I'm happy that I made it and good night. οΏΌ Love you.β₯οΈβ₯οΈππΉ

[Day 3/Challenging 100 days of reading]
π Naked statistics - Charles Wheelon
Today, I continued reading the part of the book where the author discusses the content conveyed by statistics. He provides examples from various sports matches such as football and basketball, highlighting how statistics can be used to analyze the abilities and performance of teams or individual players.
In the field of economics, the author mentions the Gini Index as an example. This index is used to measure the equality or inequality of wealth between two countries or within different regions of a single country. It ranges from 0 to 1, with 0 indicating high equality and 1 indicating high inequality. The author focuses on the United States, where the index is 0.45, suggesting a relatively high level of wealth inequality. He also mentions Sweden, although I don't recall the exact value, but it is around 0.32, indicating a more equal distribution of wealth. The author highlights that Sweden became richer and still maintained and even better in term of level of equality over several years, which is commendable.
Overall, the examples provided emphasize the role of statistics in providing insights and understanding various aspects of sports and economics. It's fascinating to see how statistical analysis can shed light on different phenomena.
That's all for today. Sweet dreams love you ππΉ

It's even harder in my situation now.
β’ Positive thinking: it's a very big company, if it would not because of the administration stuffs they have chosen me. I should be proud of myself and be more confident.

[Day 2/ Challenging - 100 days of reading]
π Naked Statistic
Today, as I continued reading 'Naked Statistics' by Charles Wheelan, the author shared an example from his math class during his university days. He humorously referred to it as the 'windowless class' because, well, there were no windows! The class was held on the ground floor, lacking any views. He mentioned how, over time, the teachers focused mainly on theoretical concepts without applying them to real-life situations.
The author also discussed how statistics can be misused, leading to misleading conclusions. He gave an illustrative example of a survey conducted on 36,000 officers. The survey found that the percentage of officers who took short breaks of 10 minutes had a higher chance of getting cancer compared to the group that didn't take such breaks. The percentage was 41% higher for the break-taking officers. Initially, this may sound nonsensical and illogical. However, the author emphasized the importance of looking beyond the results and considering the reasons behind them.
He mentioned that perhaps the number of officers taking short breaks and getting more chance of cancer might because they stepped out for a quick smoke or walked through a designated smoking area, inadvertently exposing themselves to passive smoking. Therefore, the real reason for the higher cancer rates might be the officers' smoking habits rather than the short breaks themselves. This example highlights the significance of using statistics correctly and understanding the underlying causes.
One quote that particularly struck me was, 'It's easy to lie with statistics, but it's difficult to tell the truth without them.' I believe this quote could be valuable for future interviews, especially for positions related to data analysis.
That's all for today. Nice Sleep π Love ya

[Day 1/ Challenging - 100 days of reading]
π Naked Statistic - Charles Wheelon
At the beginning of the book, he talks about how he became interested in statistics despite not being a strong student in math and calculus. He recalls a time when he received an admission offer from his first-choice college, which made him less motivated to focus on math. However, during a subsequent math exam, he noticed that the questions seemed unusual and approached the teacher to express his concerns. Since he wasn't considered a strong student in her class, she advised him to study more to become familiar with the material. However, another student, who was performing better, approached the teacher and whispered something to her. Eventually, the teacher admitted that there had been a mistake in the exam and had to reschedule it. This incident, which he shares at the start of the book, aims to help readers relate to his experiences to show how he was not good at calculus but interested in statistics in real life situation because of the stories behind them. As someone who struggles with math but still manages to achieve acceptable scores, I can empathize with the author's journey. That's all for today, as I've only read for 20 minutes. I'm eager to the next pages that I will read tomorrow! Love ya π
