I've decided my favorite era for beatles yaoi fics is 1970-1980 but there's this funny phenomenon of like Explaining Why Paul McCartney is Single because most of the fics are during the lost weekend or in a slight au where john and yoko never get back together but the author still needs to explain the paul side of things and they so rarely go with the low hanging fruit of Paul McCartney is a Cheating Bastard and come up with another reason instead
