Don't think I'm really ever coming here again, leaving this place was probably one of the best decisions I've ever made, because I'm a non-confrontational person at all, and everything on this site is so confrontational. Like I see people saying stuff around the lines of "if you don't think [x thing I think] go die" or stuff like that and even if I agree with the actual opinion phrased, why does everyone make a fight out of everything? Are these people like that in real life? Fighting everyone who doesn't agree with them? Sometimes you gotta accept that someone can not believe the exact same things as you believe and still not come from a place of malice. By all means, A LOT of "opinions" (read: hate speech p much) come from a place of malice but because this place is packed with this content, everything turns into a fight, even less important things. Not everything is a hot button issue, okay? Gosh, I really hope these people don't bring their attitude into the real world.

Sorry I’ve left I’m still alive but there are so many accidental bad takes in here even from people I trust and I also don’t agree with everything my mutuals say but not to the point of like, unfollowing or anything, but since every issue on tumblr turns so polarizing I don’t feel like starting fights/making people think less of me and frankly not being on here has been better for my mental health especially in the times I’m currently facing so, i guess see you on Pillowfort when it’s out of beta, maybe. I still love you even if we don’t agree on everything which is something easy to deal with in real life but tumblr is nothing like real life soooo

You see, in real life it's easier to sort of know that even with friends you'll never get to talk about some things because you know nothing is going to come out of that discussion, but on tumblr and maybe all social media if you don't share your opinions on everything you almost look immediately suspicious? But on the other hand I have opinions that I don't want to talk about and I can't help but feel that this platform kind of forces you to express everything and that if I don't respond to every challenging opinion I'm betraying something or someone. So yeah I don't feel like talking at all at times. Also being around so many people from so many places around the world (although mostly America, tbh) really opened my eyes to a lot of problems about a lot of things but now I'm just bloody tired and I wish everyone could just chill a little bit.

Again I'd like to reiterate that I don't think badly of any of you guys myself but I don't want to be reminded of everything bad that happens in the world constantly and I don't want to participate in any discussions especially on issues where half my dash is on one side and half my dash is on the other side

I asked my friend whether she has a constant inner dialougue going on, and she said no.

And I’m like?????? How can you not??

Are peoples heads silent most of the time????

Are they not constantly singing and talking and wondering and imagining bullshit in their heads 24/7

So then I asked around, to some other people and they all agreed!!! 

No nonstop inner talking!! 

They said for them, it was more pictures or not fully formed sentences then full speech.

So now I’m just trying to figure out if this is an adhd thing???? Because no one is an individual in their actions due to probability and stuff so I can’t be the only one.

I’ve tried researching it, and in psychology its called ‘inner speech’!!

So instead I wanted to ask, what any of your experiences with inner speech are?

anyway, my older sister was adopted when she was almost 16 (kinda on accident too), and because of that she got away from an abusive household, went from barely passing classes to being an honour student, and launching into a career where she’s happy and healthy and paying her own way. just two years of parenting where she had 3 meals a day, a bedtime, and parents to help and protect her changed her life radically. Plus, i got an older sister

adopt teenagers.
