The male farmers in Etrian Odyssey have tiny sheep companions under their shoulders, so, even though I’m very much against the keeping of exotic and wild animals as pets in the real world, I thought it’d be cute if mine had a Pygmy Dreameater for a companion! Lilianna looks, for the most part, like an ordinary Dreameater…except I gave her lots of horns. She’s about 2 years old in these pics? Her owner, Theodore, would be sixteen, so the size comparison I slapped next on is him at 5′5. And, of course, I had to write several pages of lore to not even justify the decision LMAO:

The next character I wanted to draw is Lowen, the dancer in my EOIV file… now he’s a Sovereign in EOX! At first it was just so he could have a similar role in EOX, but maybe he’s been hiding something about his lineage from the team.

Name: Davin

Position in the Guild: Goddamn Drama Queen

Nationality: Celestian

Character: He is a curious one. That much is clear. As long as there is nothing to really get emotional about, in the slightest, he is probably the calmest dude you ever met. Chill, quiet, someone you can sit around and have a drink with (fancy cocktails though for sure, on him). As soon as he is asked anything though. As soon as he is supposed to tell a story, a mission report, or a quest report, as soon as anything slightly troubling comes up in the labyrinth. He will turn into the biggest Drama Queen. Flowery language, acting like he will die at any given second, and the most ludicrous details you could imagine. However, every single time he gets into that mode, he will stay 100% dead serious. You will believe everything he says. No matter how ridiculous it is, it just sounds perfectly legit when coming form him. He could tell you that tiny Haggis developed from Raptors and you would believe him. And he knows that. And may just use it to his advantage sometimes.

Story: As long as he can remember, he never really had a home. He had always been on the road. He had always been traveling together with his family, across every land and nation. With his parents, siblings and friends through any city you can imagine. His family has been part of an actors group, and so Davin too had been a perfomer from birth. He watched his whole family act, anything possible from tragedy to comedy. He watched them a lot, and from the first moment he spoke, he did his best to imitate what he saw. And over the years, he became a competent actor. His talent reached so far in fact that the group decided to even give him Lead Roles a few times, simply because of his talent. He just loved to act, and was a very happy, upbeat and enthusiastic child! However. This was just not supposed to last. Soon, a member of his actors group became jealous of him, and at some point started to be harsher and harsher to him, and at the end even cruel. Whenever someone would not watch, he would get harsh words, and sometimes even beatings. And one day, just one hit, just one unfortunate fall, and a hit to the head. All his emotions seemed to disappear after that incident, and even if his acting was still quite convincing, he could just not put the same into it then before. He soon left the group, and gave up on acting completely, now instead training to be a Warlock, since the flashieness of magic still reminded him of home. And soon enough, his new talent was seen by a certain Guild.

Force Boost: Undying Soul - Will revive mortal blows for 3 rounds Force Break: Ghastly March - Revives all dead allies and unleashes multiple attack on one enemy (+2 attacks for each revived ally)

Specific Details and Weaknesses: Gains HP at Night Looses HP at Day 100 HP Boost and 10% Boost to all stats

Weapons: Coffins, Rapiers, Claws

Skills:

Night Sight - Will find more resources from gathering spots, but only at night

(First skills based upon the german Aufhocker, a specific kind of (tbh overpowered) Vampire) I.) Jump - Jumps on the back of the enemy and kicks them to the ground, damaging them 1. Walking Curse - Jump + A chance to curse the enemy 1a. Go for the throat - Rips the enemies throat out, may insta-kill 2. Shift - Can copy the attack of the enemy from last round 2a. Shapeshift - Can use all the enemies attack for one turn II.) Fiery Defense - Defense against Fire attacks is doubled for 3 turns 1. Holy Water - Defense against Ice attacks is doubled for 3 turns 1a. Immortal - Daylight Damage is halved 1b. HP up

(Now skills based on classic Vampire lore and modern pop culture that Vampires appear in, not on a specific culture) III.) Vampire - Regain some HP when damaging an enemy 1.
