Lynyrd Skynyrd - What's Your Name
Lynyrd Skynyrd brought Southern hard rock to a global audience during the 1970's. They released "What's Your Name" in 1977 and it reached number #13 on the US Billboard Hot 100 US singles charts. It is the opening track on their 5th album "Street Survivors". 
3 days after the album's release in October 1977 the band's chartered plane crashed en route to Baton Rouge, killing lead singer Ronnie Van Zant, guitarist Steve Gaines, and backing singer Cassie Gaines. Three others including the plane's pilot also died.

"Sandstorm" is the third single by Liverpool britpop band Cast. It was released in 1996 the same year 'Trainspotting' hit theatres in the UK. Also in this year, the Russian-Chechen Peace Treaty was signed following the first Chechen War.

Bobby "Blue" Bland - Cry, Cry, Cry
Bobby "Blue" Bland released "Cry, Cry, Cry" on Duke Records in 1960. The single peaked at #9 on the r'n'b chart and #71 on the pop chart.
A Tennessee native, the highly respected and much loved "Lion Of The Blues" passed away on 23rd June 2013 at his home in Germantown.

Cast - Walkaway
"Walkaway" was a hit in 1996 for Liverpool britpop band Cast. In this year there was an IRA bomb attack on a London bus in Aldwych, handguns would be banned in the UK, and Bill Clinton would be re-elected as president in the USA.

Ready For The World - Digital Display
"Digital Display" reached #21 in the Billboard Hot 100 in 1985 and was Ready For The World's 2nd hit single from their eponymous debut album, following on from the multi-platinum "Oh Sheila" which hit the #1 spot. The Prince-tinged popsters from Flint, Michigan had a further string of hits on the R&B charts throughout the 80's.

Brenda Lee - I'm Sorry
Brenda Lee recorded "I'm Sorry" early in 1960. It hit the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart in July when she was just 16. The "Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree" starlet went on to have an incredible 37 US chart hits in the 60's.
